oh my god i adoooore the editing style and voiceover work. it makes me nostalgic, bc i remember i used to see and love videos styled like this years ago, with the wide array of silly art and character interaction, im so so glad i found this video bc it was such a joy. i looove ur cute lil sonas, they're such a fun sun and moon design, and very very fun to find out ur irl twins too!! ive never thought about hoyoverse taking these things to callback to and use for playing past events, but man is it PERFECT. ive been playing since day 1 but like the massive majority, i dont always have the time, energy, or opportunity to play some events. and it SUCKS!!!!! not only have i missed meeting characters for the first time, (layla and faruzan just appeared to me one day from my point of view. what do u mean ive met them before???) im also somewhat of a completionist!!! i have r3 festering desire. REFINEMENT THREE!!!!!! do u know how much that kills me. i was getting the refinements the night it was gonna be gone and ended up misjudging the time for the daily reset and thus the time the event ended. and so i landed face first into a now empty and deserted dragonspine. i grimace everytime i see festering desire now. not to mention event weapons i missed!!! i want them all!!! cmon!!!!!!!!!!! not even to mention that i wasnt able to fully explore the apple archipelago during summertime odyssey due to burnout, AND THAT ENDED UP BEING MY FAVORITE SUMMERTIME EVENT EVER!!!! fischls also my favorite and i didnt get to FULLY EXPLORE HER CASTLE LIKE SHE DESERVES!!! beautiful video though and im joining u to pray to the hoyogods with tears in my eyes to PLEASE. PLEASE. RERUN EVENTS.......... I DONT WANT TO EXPERIENCE THEM THROUGH VIDEOS... I WANT TO PLAY THEM MYSELF...............
🧡💜You're so sweet omg!!!!!! Thank you so much for enjoying our style and our lil sonas, we worked real hard on it!! And yeah we're identical twins in real life! And we FULLY understand your pain. There are so many characters that just pop up and we're like, WHEN DID WE MEET YOU?!? And we still wish we got that Fish sword weapon before that event left. And we didn't get to fully explore Fischl's Castle during the Golden Apple Archipelago event either and we were soooo depressed over it!!😭 And yeah sometimes life stuff gets in the way of being able to experience these events which just sucks!! It's comments like this that help us remember we aren't the only ones feeling this pain lol.
genshin is genuinely the only gacha game ive ever played that doesnt even do the bare minimum of rerunning events (the only events it does rerun are events with no story cutscenes)
Even then, Genshin just refuses to just... Simply... Rerun them. Every single event 'NEEDS' some sort of rework, new feature, other cutscenes, you name it. Do I get the idea? I do. Is it insanely inefficient and frustrating to think many events have never returned probably because of this (looking at you, Windblume)? YES 😭
@@tristanmanalo6252 Gotta remember, they already have the ability to download and delete content based on completion. It's in your settings menu under 'Past Quest Resource Management' and it shrinks the game file by deleting old voice lines. The system could easily be applied to downloading and deleting old quest content.
@@tristanmanalo6252 What if they did it in the form of DLC that you can install and uninstall whenever you want? I don't really know how mobile games work, but that would allow a lot of flexibility if they can do it that way. You install however many events, play them, then uninstall them once you've gone through everything. And if you're playing on a more advanced system like PS5 or Xbox Series X, you could have them all installed at once and it would just be there for you to play whenever.
@@tristanmanalo6252 Lol we feel ya, but we did hear about a feature on mobile where you can delete completed data!! So hopefully this wouldn't lead the phones to an early grave.
Hoyo for genshin only does stuff that can be related lore wise. Else it breaks their beautifully crafted world. A comment i stumbled across basically summarised what Genshin is to their devs: "Genshin is a massive art project". Thus anything to change gameplay wise must have sufficient lore to back it. We have the biggest plot device in the game, just give us a quest about fixing "the tree" from nahida and boom, we have access to all past limited time event story stories.
It's funny how they "only make gameplay that make sense lore wise" then the biggest tourist spot in inazuma (sakura tree) isn't even acessible without climbing, and lore wise there's lots of old people that go there
@@iAMLunaria yeah even i struggled to understand the design of the path to the Sacred Sakura and it was memed before. But i guess there were limitations and they did the best they could. Teyvat is very scaled down in game , compared to its lore.
or buying more storage. i had 120gb in my computer way back in what, 2005 or something. my shitty low end 2019 phone has 120gb. my desktop has like 14tbs
At the risk of getting called a Hoyo shill, I have to ask: is that a common feature in other gacha games? I don't play that many gacha games, and I haven't noticed anything like that, where you get to manually uninstall events? The closest thing I could think of is uninstalling voice packs of other languages 🤔
@@nabilhusainimohdkamalulabr3088 It's a good question. Limited events are used precisely to generate FOMO and keep players engaged, but creates the problem of players missing out on critical content. I'm not an expert on gacha games, but I know that another Hoyo game has replayable events (HSR). It balances the monetization's need for FOMO with the player's need to experience content by removing or reducing some of the currency rewards if the event is replayed in the future. So the content is permanent, but the rewards are either partially or entirely limited-time. This seems like a good balance to me. I would happily play Unreconciled Stars without gathering any Primogems at all.
I see your theory and raise you: not only will an events archive happen, it will happen in 5.x. Why? Simulanka told us to expect a Dragonspine event revolving around Durin, in which Albedo, Simulanka's mini-Durin, and Wanderer/Scaramouche will play a part. Just the idea of such an event is so heavily dependent on context and lore of past limited-time events. You'd have to know who is mini-Durin (4.8), what is Albedo's + Dragonspine's whole deal (1.2), what is Scara's whole deal (1.1, 3.6 among others), etc. Simulanka even teased us about the concept of an event archive via that little room commemorating past summer events. Simulanka also had cameos from Mona and Fischl - major characters in 2.8, the most requested limited-time event for a rerun. Meanwhile, the most lore-heavy and also popularly requested-for-rerun event, 1.1's Unreconciled Stars, majorly featured Mona, Fischl, and Scaramouche - all of whom appear in Simulanka. I don't think any of this is coincidence.
I'd love for this to be correct, but the game does already have a system in place for this. Scaramouche is in the archon quests even. There's just different dialogue depending on if the player has already met him or not. I hope your post is correct, I just can't feel like I can get my hopes up, because they've already addressed "How can they add this if a player might have missed a past event"?
Also when they showed off the local specialty tracking feature in the dev blog, the symbol for the 4.5 alchemy event was there. The map was shown only a split second
I think the imaginium theatre is the best place to add old events if ever, it is a magical place by the great witches that already has unrelated gameplay like the echoes and poses, and only 1 corner of the room have been used for it while the middle is fixed for the actual fighting gameplay. They can easily implement something on the other 3 corners if they want
So true!! This would be a sick way to add old events coming back. Honestly, we thought about including the Imaginarium Theater in the video, but we were so close to finishing and working on other stuff that we decided just to push it out lol.
This theory actually makes a lot of sense! I'm choosing to believe it because I want so badly to play the events I missed. Also I thought the lego game character unlock screen was really funny, it was very nostalgic for me. Loved the video, it was really high quality and you guys have great humor, I hope you get the millions of views that you deserve. ✨️💖
Honestly, even if you played these events, it’d be super fun to replay them. Roses and Muskets with Kamisato siblings visiting Fountain, Chevy backstory and all these movie filming mini games was so much fun!! I’d really like to replay it 😭
@@TanyaKory Ugh yes I totally agree!! I would love to replay the first archipelago, it was so iconic! I remember getting my first five star during the event too! It's just not the same to watch the events on UA-cam. :(
I hope the creator of this video does not take offense from me saying this, but I normally avoid giving too much credit/attention to videos which have very obvious clickbaity titles in them but this one I kept watching because the concepts and ideas brought within it were really interesting. Well done!
People also forget that Genshin will release on the Xbox soon. So that would mean all the xbox players would NEED to have a way to experience the past events, since it was never available for them
Plus the fact we aren’t getting an archon quest in 5.2, Which is when the Xbox version gets released. I think we could be getting a new major event + the return of old events at the same time
Why would they? Mihoyo can just simply "not care", the same way they do for the past years. Every player who starts playing the game now, will encounter tons of cool characters they don't know crap about, and will never find out who those characters even are. BECAUSE THEY LITERALLY REMOVE STORY EVENT ASSETS FROM THE GAME EVERY UPDATE.
Fischl having a p4 or kingdom hearts story line, Mona being simped on by a talking bird, Xinyan being a great character, and Kazuha getting drunk was so much fun, that's why I love Golden apple archipelago pt 2. It had it all so much fun from it.
Since we're talking about the past. Most players only want the limited event weapons, or some limited furnitures. I joined late 3.5 and didn't get the mailed flower (and that's fine I don't wanna use it anyway). It's just sad that most of the good weapons are not obtainable.
nah, I want both. I've missed every lantern event because I'm always burned out by then. If they actually added past events, perhaps I wouldn't get burned out because it wouldn't feel like a darn chore to catch up with every time-gated thing
I've gotta say, as someone who mainly listens to videos rather than watching them, you create such a unique and diverse soundscape. Really sets you apart.
Haha.... it was something like this for GGZ. 70% (approx) of the main story was actually shown through limited events. In my opinion, the two most fundamental events in GGZ to the main story were the Lost Sister and Phantom Sea Chamber quests. The Lost Sister event literally contained the main characters being enrolled at St. Freya Academy and the first time Anti-Entropy showed up and even obtained the Herrscher Gem (which was a very important item which triggered the finale). The Phantom Sea Chamber event revealed parts of Bronya and Seele's pasts and how Seele was experimented on and formed a second personality due to the trauma and influence of her stigmata. It's also this event that triggered Seele to go into a coma, this the Fairy Tale World events like Candy House and Snow Land and Searing Path occured. In these Fairy Tale World events, even more was revealed, and it's also where Sin was first introduced as a character. Then right after the Fairy Tale World events, ANOTHER important LIMITED story took place. Seele broke out of her coma but died. Then was revived by a black cat, the one who was causing the dreams in her coma. That was when she joined St. Freya Academy. The Otherworld events were also important, but not so much for the main story, more so for the characters. The first Otherworld event revealed that "worldlines" exist and for some reason Kiana was able to go to one and meet her alternate self, Kevin. The second one was very Mei-focused as it basically retold her past (with some alterations due to external influence on the world by Bronya). And in my opinion, the biggest lore drop on the world building of this game was in the Honkai Servant Era WEB EVENT. It literally revealed how this extra world was formed and how some people can reincarnate due to the power of the "World Tree" (it wasnt called the Imaginary Tree then) and into "familiars", like how Yae Sakura was reincarnated here. Heck, even TWO playable characters in this named Fran and Shion were reincarnated here! Anyways, im rambling. And im hyperfixated on this game, probably since I'm autistic lol 😅 I'll stop here... But still, this isn't new for miHoYo to make very very important story LIMITED EVENTS 😭 (Also, GGZ Welt looks totally different than the one in Star Rail, where its practically funny)
OMG we never played GGZ, but to hear that so much deep and intricate lore is locked behind limited events and even web events just like Genshin!?!?! We really hope Hoyoverse starts to change their minds on stuff like this because missing this stuff is just depressing😭
Totally agree Hoyo should make such a mode, I missed so many events because I got burned out of the game. Also, this is super underrated, you guys deserve more views.^^ I Wish you the best luck, so UA-cam won't delete your channel for no reason. _(Like they did to me..)_
IKR!! So glad to see others who feel the same about these limited events! And thank you so much for supporting us we genuinely appreciate it 🧡💜And we're so sorry to hear that your channel got deleted, we hope that doesn't stop you from creating!!!
SAME! Im a vet too. I also think it will help to make older characters more popular again... only problem I see is the first event bc scara was a major role in it....
@@luckymuddypaw Yeah it would bring so much more love to characters that don't really get the spotlight anymore!! And yeah scara being the first event would definitely be a little odd to play, especially after completing Sumeru and his whole story, but it would still be a great chance for people to get a fun reminder of how he used to be.
@@DevieDarx true, I could see it coming back for a limited time for all players but after an event rerun that particular event was set that it couldn't be played if you finished sumeru.
I believe that they don't want to rerun events because of storage reasons for mobile. Character story quests already eats a chunk of storage, well how about GGA, Bottle Land and Simulanka that have massive exploration and audio dialogue. And people would say, "hOw aBoUt sTaR rAiL?", Star rail's exploration are basic af, you can't glide, swim, climb and JUMP, so a majority of Star Rail's events are yapping simulations with maps that have limited exploration. ZZZ also have basic exploration but doesn't rerun their events because they have detailed environment, that is why their launch size is much greater than 4yr old Genshin's.
This could probably be remedied if you can download and uninstall the maps and content from an in game screen, like how when you want to download the voice over files in a different language it is an install rather than something that is already in the game.
@@Blackout_ They remove the assets from story-events (ones that have changes in world, or cutscenes/voicelines) from the game-files every update. Those Events usually CAN be replayed via... ways *wink*, but you'd end up with missing voice lines, and also some of them might be totally broken because event-specific required world assets are missing, like simple added lantern poles.
10:01 The main difference is that Events in HSR are mostly just a bunch of text and a few game modes which take up much less space and are much simpler to implement permanently whereas Events in Genshin often cause major changes to the map or even add completely new maps as in the case of the Summer Events. Using HSR as a comparison just doesn't work as the two games are fundamentally different with very different limitations to work with.
Wait! After you pointed out about the location to play TCG, I think there's another potential location to put playable past events function other than Mona's house and Xianyun's dream machine and it might make sense in lore too.....with 1 issue and that place is the theater lobby where we play imaginarium theater. IIRC, that place was made by the mage from Hexenzirkel(likely Alice) while base on Anna's storybooks outside of Teyvat's time and space. That place is also filled with fairy tale and fictional books. There's also a lore theory that the reason why Anna/Mage M, who is just a fairy tale writer, is 1 of Hexenzirkel, the group of Mages with powerful power that can shake Teyvat, is that her story might be parallel the fate of people in Teyvat.(Like how Nahida made story of Scarameow parallel to Scaramouche to preserve the memory without letting Irminsul's deletion affect it.) So, HYV can make past events with lore as the books inside Theater lobby for traveler to read and let us, players, access to the past event. However, there's 1 issue about this. Theater lobby already has 2 permanent features in there, Imaginarium Theater and Envisaged Echo. I think it would be too much to pack more permanent feature inside 1 small place when there're many unused places to put something for us to visit again. * Now that I think about it, it might also be possible to make character story quests or world quest replayable too. I know many people wouldn't be interest in replaying them, but as a long time players, I would want to reexperience some quests again and maybe pick up some lore bits I missed during the first time I played.
There's four corner cubbies in the Theater. One of them was updated for Envisaged Echo. One is for music change and one for the fortune. One is still unused.
@@felatras9503 But that side looks more like a place to change cloth tho. [Wait! Traveler costume copium?] I think it would make more sense to put that feature on the side with changing music bc of how many books there are near the seat. Maybe move music changing device to that unused side. Or another idea. Make another mini story with Wolfy giving us a book as furniture in teapot and it's book that we can access to the past adventure and limited time events. Edit: Oh! I just look the theater lobby. They can put that feature in opposite side of the stage that you get character poses too.
Yeah, definitely want to play previous quests, specially as a chest hunter that missed the 6, S-I-X chests inside the church in the quest of Retrieving the Holy Lyre :(
We absolutely love this!! 🧡💜 The Imaginarium Theatre would be a super cool way to bring back past events. Honestly, we thought about talking about that in the video, but we were already so knee deep in finishing it, we figured we would leave it out. But yeah you're so right, we can definitely see this happening!! And true it might be a little too much content in one place, but then again, it would be in the first nation of Mondstadt so players could access a feature like this faster. And yoooooo we would love for story and world quests to be repayable!! Especially since Zenless Zone Zero lets you replay all the story missions so it's definitely something Hoyoverse must have at least thought about for Genshin.
Very impressed by the effort, respect! And here's another potential way to reintroduce past events that I've been hung up on for years now: the lost god of time. In the lore, a god of time named Istaroth was worshipped in Mondstadt for a long time, but was gradually forgotten. Now, only a few ruins remain, drawing their names from her prominent title, "The Thousand Winds". The one that always irked me, was the Nameless Island. Not only is it never shown on the overworld map, it's also only visited in one sidequest, yet if inspecting the location with the Elemental Sense, the platform at the very center of the ruin is highlighted as a "movable object", but there never was any interaction to do so. My thought is that, at some point, Istaroth turns out to still be alive, but possibly incapable of using her powers to influence Teyvat, so her only option is to manipulate the Traveler to let him/her experience what happened in an "unexplored past", thus unlocking reruns of those events. This could be tied to the memorabilia that many of these events add to the inventory, and even serve as a means of "updating" events and past story sections to serve as unique challenges (like the on-rails shooting segment against Dvalin, or the Defense of the Jade Palace against Ousial and the Fatui).
Oh...oh my goodness this is amazing!! We knew about Istaroth only a little, we didn't realize there was so much more though! And yooo you're, right we remember that platform that glows in elemental sense. Honestly, I hope you're right because this would be such a sick way to bring back past events. And thank you for the kind words😄
bro our experiences are close to identical, i also took a big hiatus during the murica update and missed out on the roses and muskets event 💀 sending love from a day 1 fischl main :3
You know, I would probably doubt the Mona's home idea a bit more if it wasn't for the Imaginarium Theater being located in the Favonius Library. The fact that we now have TWO special game modes in Mondstadt (technically three if you count the Spiral Abyss as part of Mondstadt) lends actual credence to this being a legit possibility.
For the past year that I was on and off playing Genshin Impact, I never knew there were limited events and just played for the main archon/ world quests. I mean, I was just thinking that was the only thing that was going on. It was not until the 2024 Lantern Rite event that my friends told me that I should check it out, and I was able to get the fun Gaming. And then I left playing Genshin for that week to do other life things. I came back this summer and saw the huge book of the summertide scales and tales event. And as I watched through the cut scenes I started to think about how many other events were like this that I have missed in the past 4 years of this game. All this to say, thank you for your video, I now know that there definitely were events that had strong character implications. And now I am left with our hope Hoyo can bring events to rerun in Mona's house or Xianyun's Suspensus Somnium Mechanism. Also I kind of just discovered that story quests also give lots of character details. I just got to trying to unlock the Interlude act 2 and it pleaded me to click on the Raiden Shogun and the Kokomi. I definitely got to go look at all the other story quests I did not look at, before going to Sumeru. Also, did ya'll just start a UA-cam channel? The UA-cam algorithm got you on my feed! Great video, got me to watch all the way through. I wish ya'lls a good luck for the journey ahead.
We also missed the Summertide Scales and Tales event since we were so busy with life stuff!! And our first Lantern Rite we had to rush through it and Devie missed like half of it (he was really sad). And when we first played there were tons of other events we had already missed, having come in over a year late. We definitely feel you and we're really happy if we gave you any sort of hope, despite the funny copium jokes we genuinely believe they'll come back one day. And yeah the story quests are so amazing, glad to hear you're having fun with them!! Oh, also in case you didn't know, there's even lore and story packed into some of the daily commissions. You can even see Mona in one of the daily commissions in Mondstadt. And yeah, we are new!! Thanks for such an awesome comment and for watching all the way through🧡💜
@@tristanmanalo6252 We'll definitely be making more videos on Genshin Impact!! And thank you we worked hard on our editing style so we're glad you enjoy it!!
as someone who only started playing this year, its so devastating seeing how many of my favorite characters have major lore building stories, and beautiful worlds are all locked behind limited events, its so discouraging as new comers. This video is so well made, and I think it has high plausibility and evidence supporting it, it deserves way more attention! Lets hope that with how recently hoyoverse has been listening to the complaints, one day this is also fixed!
🧡💜Thank you so much!! We appreciate the kind words. And yessss exactly, when people come and experience this game for the first time it's so unfair that they have so much that they already missed and can't do anything about it.
The editing style in this video is just top notch! I absolutely love it and I don’t understand why UA-cam doesn’t push channels like these instead of whatever they’re doing now! Also, this may be the biggest cope in all of copium
They recently had all the past event icons visible on the map in the developer discussion gif that they were showcasing the highlighting materials like flowers on the map for 5.0. Now this may just be something they have in the dev build idk, but they also showed off the dialog recap and hide ui buttons during 4.7 special program before those were added in 4.8. So who knows, it could me an we are getting the old events relatively soon. 🙏🙏🙏 (There were icons from 1.1 event on the map so imo it would be weird if they kept stuff that old on dev build map for it to appear when they are showcasing something else, so I think there is a high chance it is related to the returning old events!)
I just want to get Festering Desire man, only reason I couldn't was I was working at the time but they already said they'll bring it back but some should've been permanent especially lore ones.
@@truegodofdestruction We feel you 😭 it feels impossible to have all the time to actually experience all the events have to offer and actually get all the goodies
in Star rail with the power of Terminus we can skip the story to do events in Genshin we have Istaroth the shade of time, not using this world building is criminal
They should do so we can play the story of past events without the rewards! This way, players will still play on time to get the primos but still be able to experience the lore and fun mini games!
I played a lot of these events, but because it was so long ago, I barely remember some details. With makes me very nostalgic and sad. However, when you mentioned how in the summer event we speak to Nahida for the first time, that shocked me! Because, I remember that! Me and my sisters FLIPPED when that part played, new players will never understand how exited the OG players were for sumeru or ANY of the regions. And that makes me very sad . No one will get to experience the game like we are right now, in the moment. Because this will soon be the past that we are nostalgic for! And because we, us, are here, playing it, right now and in the past, I think we are very lucky. Because after all the content is out, in many years people will join the game knowing nothing or our old theories, knowing nothing of what a “little Timmie’s pigeons” Joke is, knowing nothing of how happy we were to meet collei after reading the manga when she came out! We were and are the very first to experience it, of all time. I only missed a few events. Every one I played I cherish to my heart. But one time, I was playing them, in the present, but today, it’s the past. So whenever you’re playing an event, cherish it. Whenever you’re wondering what the next nation is going to look like, cherish it. Because we are so lucky to be here in this moment. Because no one will have the experiences we have, right now. Great video.
@@DevieDarxyeah! It’s something I’ve wanted to say for a long time. I honestly very much miss the old genshin because I have so many good memories associated with it of better times. The concept of time is so confusing. Thank you for rekindling old memories for me, it made me very happy. Also you guys are very funny lol
@@Simone_Art Yeah time is very weird. There have been times in the past when we would sort of sit with ourselves and go “hmm wonder if we’ll think back to this point in time and feel nostalgia.” And then time passes and we do. Which is weird cause in that moment, in the past, it was the present, and now it feels vivid remembering that we thought of how it would feel remembering that moment. Lol all that to say that we feel what you mean when it comes to Genshin and time and whatnot. Playing Genshin is sometimes surreal to us, we don’t know why but we feel it teaches us lessons right when we need it. Like it always finds a way to connect to things we are either going through or struggling with and the game just somehow responds. We’re probably just so dang immersed and so playing it is like therapy for us sometimes and we think that’s why Genshin is so special to us and why it brings us so much joy. And if our vid helped ignite some joyous feelings for you then it is a complete honor and we are so stoked to know that you feel happy when you play this game! And aawww shucks thank you for the sweet words! There will be many more Genshin videos so more fun times to be had!
I feel like Mona's invention is a good way to replay seasonal events like windblume, irodori festival, dragonspine, summer events etc, while Xianyun's device could be used more as a cutscene archive. Like using the idea of reliving past memories makes more sense to me if its used to remember all the things we've done on our journey.
They could have us unlock previous events that have story the same way we unlock the hangout events. Maybe put a 30 day limit on the event area so we can delete events that are completed. I’d imagine all events loaded on a tablet would take up too much space

as a non lore guy it feels great to see content like yours, not to mention the amount of work to make it original and entertaining, great vid! (i really hope your theory is true tho, GAA was insane)
Looked at your channel to see what other videos you have, and to my surprise, you guys are a new channel! This vid was really well made, felt like you guys were doing this for years. Subbed!
If it's gonna get added I'm thinking of, it being on the story quest and char hang out menu, and theres a new button called past events or smth which each events either unlocks when you've reach a certain part of the story, it depends on ur AR, or you can unlock them with you're keys you get. It being in Mona's room is gonna get annoying, also a breach of privacy xD
So i started the video yesterday and had to leave and finish later, but I'm pretty sure when i left there were only 14 subscribers so congrats on blowing up lol!
i feel like there's a lot slowly building in the game to perhaps give us the chance to rewind time and replay/revisit periods of limited time (story) events having (both) golden apple archipelago(s), bottleland, and simulanka as permanent maps would be great, and events like unreconciled stars, i'd love to play firsthand i don't see us getting the 'limited time rewards', similar to hsr, but still, just a system that unlocks at some point like this would be really nice
i joind the game 2 years late because i didn't have a device that could support it and remembering the amount of content I've missed makes me super sad every time 😭😭😭
I missed the events that had Festering Desire, Cinnabar Spindle, Klee's Dodoco book... and a few more where I can't get the weapons for my completionist account T^T I didn't realize how the game worked when I first started so there was so many events that I just skipped or missed because of burnout :'( I started not that long after release so despite being a longtime player I feel like I've missed so much and it's made me anxious about playing now because I don't want to miss the limited events and free character's and the free weapons D'X It's not how I want to be, because the game is so beautiful and amazing - so I hope they legitimately rerun events and let new and old players experience them fully, potentially for the first time as everyone should get at least 1 chance to!
We missed all of those events too😭 so we didn't get ANY of those exclusive weapons!! And yeah we hate that anxious feeling. We wanna be able to play the game whenever we want without feeling pressured or worried that if we don't constantly play it and catch up, we'll miss really cool events.
I loved your video and I'm so so glad I found it. It brought a smile to my face while watching. The fact that there are people who appreciate these story events and character stories makes me so happy. And about the story events... one of the things that turned me off of genshin was the fact that these important story events aren't accessible anymore. Unlike star rail where you get to play story events from before. Albedo, Mona and Fischl are my favorite characters but knowing I can't experience their story arcs because I didn't play them back when their events were up makes me upset. I really hope hoyo does bring them back at some point even without changes just so that the people like us who didn't play the events or want to play them again can experience them instead of resorting to watching videos...
I wish everything from the second dragon spine event and back returned because I never finished most of them and I thought I had plenty of time in the future to do them. I didn’t understand the event banner page yet because I was still overwhelmed at the differences of gotcha games compared to many other games I’ve played in the past
If you don't mind a little insight, Ayaka was just 'packing heat' and not the other way around, that way i'm not spoiling too much here. Honestly, i'd love if they brought the events back, because i ran out of time with the most recent summer event that happened this year and only got half way through, i finished the main story of it, but not the epilogue.
I've been playing Genshin since day one, and for the past several years now, I have filled out every player survey they have ever put out. And in every, single, one, I have asked for them to re run events. Becuase honestly, apart from the players, I feel genuinely bad for the team at Hoyo responsible for making the environments, puzzles, and stories contained within the events, just to send them to the abyss after less time then it took to make them. Thats got to be rough to see as an artist.
Must agree... While I skip Rhythm Game events as I just cannot do them period - I have missed several Time Limited Events in teh new update! I did not realise until too late the Photography Event was Time limited... And I enjoy them! I have been busy with work, so with only now 6 Days... I wont be doing the latest Battle event! It is frustrating!
Whew, well I'm glad I don't have to cope like this since I made it to every one of these events, well there was like two events I missed when hangouts were first released but that was just a login event where you got Diona for free and an event when Bennet was simping for Barbara but out side of that I've participated in all those big events.
In its first year, I was 100% certain what the Genshin devs were planning would be to put a lot of effort and time into the development of these intricate, versatile and interesting events so that from the second year on, they could put them on auto repeat and then continue to build new things and improve on the core game with that foundation to back them up. Yea, no, Hoyo prefers to put a lot of time and effort into stuff they never ever reuse.
I hope so. Because i really need to get my hands on a festering desire. The event ended just as i started playing. I was level 20 and couldnt survive the trek up deagonspine. Now, I'm ready.
Every survey I have filled out, I have asked about rerunning events, as they have story. With Genshin Impact coming to XBox soon, I imagine it would be right time to do so. The only other best time would be if they released it on Nintendo's next console since the Switch version seems to have been scrapped (2020 announcement and still nothing).
Loved this video. Great art, funny, great production, good taste, great music, (TY FOR THE TITLES) and I heavily agree and hope you’re right on all this so I’m sure that helps too. 😅 Hope your channel gets the attention it deserves!
Arknights has past event able to be replayed. You need a to use a resource to unlock them and it's a little limited (basically costs 15 starglitter, only one per 2 weeks) but you also get the rewards from the events - limited characters and skins included. There are other ways to get the item and all players receive 3(?) at the start I think that having some way to get the weapons is important, and arknights is another example of how it can be done. (Also I haven't played arknights in awhile so I might have gotten some details wrong)
With the game's launch, there were already foreshadowing of the events of Inazuma sprinkled throughout the first two nations. It didn't feel like there was as much done for Sumeru, but that all changed with the Nahida epilogue of Summer Fantasia, which really got me hyped. Since then, the summer events give clues to the upcoming region & new players miss out on that.
IKR!!! It's so sad that new players will miss this stuff. And we unfortunately missed the recent Summertide Scales and Tales event which still hurts us.
It's true!! After beating the main story of the event there's a small dialogue scene where Nahida speaks to the Traveler through their mind. It's one of the best teases Genshin has ever done for one of their characters which is why it's such a shame that it's only in a limited event😥
I always wanted to have this in game, even as dayone player. I still missed some small thng while played cuz not every time I have time to play all of the event, some times I just finish main story and that's it. But for all ths time I wasn't thinking that they really gonna do it, just cuz of how they treated genshin. And then, after all this time happened something that changed my mind and injected a dose of copium into my lungs. About a week before they announced Xbox release there was a short on official GI youtube account, that was showcasing all limited time event locations. By itself I didn't think a lot of it. But then, when Xbox announcement came out, it just clicked. After releasing game on a new platform, players from that platform 100% missed all awesome events. So what could give more insentive to let players replay past evens if not this? Now I just waiting for when it happens, in what form they do this, and how much of old events we could replay.
Honestly maybe copium but I do believe old events are coming back. The 2 major hurdles are technical (and space requirements) and that they don't like to do anything unless they can justify it lore wise or make a story out of it. While I think the Mona's house and Cloud Retainer's dream machine theories are nice solutions, I personally believe the fact that box time has started to become a focus in Natlan, that is likely the solution to the lore issues with rerunning event stories. As far as technical solutions the only thing I can think of is having a way for people to download these events and maps/changes individually but I don't know how that would work. They did improve compression significantly in 4.6? If I remember correctly, which cut space down quite a bit.
@@hyuugasora4031 Oh Box time, we haven’t caught up to Natlan so we don’t know what that is yet, but you’re the first one (to our knowledge) to bring that idea up so YES KEEP COOKING! And yes we believe they did do something related to managing the storage a little bit which we think is Hoyoverse prepping slowly but surely since this would be a large task
@@DevieDarx Oh Sorry I assumed too much since you guys are extremely knowledgeable about the game and the story. Sorry if I spoiled too much. I hope you guys enjoy Natlan. I would like to see you guys come back to this topic when you learn what I'm talking about. I really do believe it holds the best and most logical explanation for people to experience past event stories.
Though I started my account earlier, I didn't get going until 2.8, binging through to Inazuma and blasting the event and its scenes for the three last days, barely getting most everything done. Kazuha was my first limited five-star, but all four featured characters were stand-outs throughout the event. It is creatively _bankrupt_ to bar that experience from future players, and I lament the state the game's lore so long as these remain relegated to UA-cam supercuts.
They've already said they were looking at the possibility, and with HSR leaks rumoured to show the return of event weapons via the Simulated Universe, Genshin being left behind in that regard would be bad PR.
Honestly, the only way to solve this for mobile players like I, is to download the necessary file for the event, then maybe, just MAYBE, we can also pick between voiced and non-voiced, then once that’s over we can just delete the event files and **BOOM** done! Just hoping that they also give the limited weapons too! The only weapons I really want are cinnabar spindle and festering desire! :’)
I love this video. Unfortunately genshin events don’t return because the game’s code is being held together by tape. If they did return events with dialogue, there’s a chance that suddenly you can’t interact with npcs or open chests
Hello, fellow Cookie run kingdom player we have something in the game called tower of records you can tell what it is by the name of it is a record tower. I have been playing the game for almost 3 years now and there was a lot of story I missed but after I completed a specific quest I unlocked it and was able to watch all of the story. I wish that genshin could do something like this or at least let us watch the more important stuff so newer players can understand the story behind some characters. When I joined genshin almost a year ago I wanted to see more lore from some characters and they do have lore, but mostly in limited time events which is sad. And some characters also have some interesting lore but it’s sometimes not even in the game. Just look at the Genshin manga you get to see and hear venti talk to Vanessa but in the game she doesn’t get mentioned a lot. And also same for Collei we don’t really get to see much of her relationship with Amber even though they are friends. Same goes for the doctor we see him with Collei quite a bit in the manga but not much in the game. I hope Hoyoverse can do something about it in the future.
oh my god i adoooore the editing style and voiceover work. it makes me nostalgic, bc i remember i used to see and love videos styled like this years ago, with the wide array of silly art and character interaction, im so so glad i found this video bc it was such a joy. i looove ur cute lil sonas, they're such a fun sun and moon design, and very very fun to find out ur irl twins too!!
ive never thought about hoyoverse taking these things to callback to and use for playing past events, but man is it PERFECT. ive been playing since day 1 but like the massive majority, i dont always have the time, energy, or opportunity to play some events. and it SUCKS!!!!! not only have i missed meeting characters for the first time, (layla and faruzan just appeared to me one day from my point of view. what do u mean ive met them before???) im also somewhat of a completionist!!! i have r3 festering desire.
And we didn't get to fully explore Fischl's Castle during the Golden Apple Archipelago event either and we were soooo depressed over it!!😭
And yeah sometimes life stuff gets in the way of being able to experience these events which just sucks!! It's comments like this that help us remember we aren't the only ones feeling this pain lol.
genshin is genuinely the only gacha game ive ever played that doesnt even do the bare minimum of rerunning events (the only events it does rerun are events with no story cutscenes)
by the way i really enjoy this style of video i hope u 2 keep it up!
@@mitington We feel ya! All the cool events are just locked away but whyyyyy!!!! And thank you so much, so happy you enjoyed!!
Umm no it’s not the only gacha game to do that in reality only few gacha games let’s the players play old events

It's funny how they "only make gameplay that make sense lore wise" then the biggest tourist spot in inazuma (sakura tree) isn't even acessible without climbing, and lore wise there's lots of old people that go there
It is a very beautiful art project!! Lol yes fix the tree, if that's what it takes to bring these events back!!!
@@iAMLunariaWe never realized that lol!!
@@iAMLunaria yeah even i struggled to understand the design of the path to the Sacred Sakura and it was memed before.

or buying more storage. i had 120gb in my computer way back in what, 2005 or something. my shitty low end 2019 phone has 120gb. my desktop has like 14tbs
At the risk of getting called a Hoyo shill, I have to ask: is that a common feature in other gacha games? I don't play that many gacha games, and I haven't noticed anything like that, where you get to manually uninstall events? The closest thing I could think of is uninstalling voice packs of other languages 🤔
@@nabilhusainimohdkamalulabr3088 I've seen it in project sekai or at least you can only download the events you want to do
@@nabilhusainimohdkamalulabr3088 It's a good question.
YES EXACTLY, it would be so hard to enjoy these cool future events if we don't' have the necessary context and story!!!!
Or the footage shown was taken from a dev build and not meant to be played
So don't get your hopes up

Leyline Overflow is poggers, I even wish it gave us more than 3 per day
People also forget that Genshin will release on the Xbox soon. So that would mean all the xbox players would NEED to have a way to experience the past events, since it was never available for them
That's it, it has to be in the Xbox update or at least 1 update later please!!!
This mskes complete sense. So if it would happen, we can probably expect it in 5.2
Plus the fact we aren’t getting an archon quest in 5.2, Which is when the Xbox version gets released.

And im hyperfixated on this game, probably since I'm autistic lol 😅
I'll stop here...
But still, this isn't new for miHoYo to make very very important story LIMITED EVENTS 😭
(Also, GGZ Welt looks totally different than the one in Star Rail, where its practically funny)

Fun Fact: both GAA events still have their files present, in the pc version at least. Dont know about mobile.
@@XenoWars I think that is the case for most if not all other events as well right?
That is true but we can hope!!!

Haha we had a good feeling people would like it, because we really liked it!
[Wait! Traveler costume copium?]
I think it would make more sense to put that feature on the side with changing music bc of how many books there are near the seat.
@@felatras9503 👀...Ayo you might be cooking with this one
And thank you for the kind words😄
in the first event we find out the sky's of teyvat or fake
We did!!! We missed that event so we could only learn about this on youtube🙃
I don't care about past events. I care about past event weapons, now those to me need to make a come-back.
Knowing Hoyo they will give us “replay able” events but it’ll probably just be adding the events to the archives where we can read the event dialogue
bro our experiences are close to identical, i also took a big hiatus during the murica update and missed out on the roses and muskets event 💀
sending love from a day 1 fischl main :3
Thanks for such an awesome comment and for watching all the way through🧡💜
They need to first solve the riddle of how to keep the game size in check if they want to add EVERY event back into the game as permanent feature lol
This is a 100k sub channel mark my words
AAAAWWWW HOLY COW THANK YOU!!!!!!!🧡💜
Agreeable. That is, if the creator pump up more interesting topics about genshin and keep up the editing style. 🎉🎉🎉
Wow, thanks so much for such a sweet comment. And lol copium or not we must hope!!
(There were icons from 1.1 event on the map so imo it would be weird if they kept stuff that old on dev build map for it to appear when they are showcasing something else, so I think there is a high chance it is related to the returning old events!)
ironically i'd want to do the 1.1 event again. there was a lot of foreshadowing and zero payoff so far.
Oh, you think they really planned out a meaningful story all that time ago?
Oh, poor sweet naive thing. One day youll learn.
Tbh if hoyo does this, they will limit the times the events occur, and make you pick which ones you'll do. And they cycle
So true, but at this point we'll take anything!! Whatever brings back Ask-Me-For Directions Arnold🐦
I just want to get Festering Desire man, only reason I couldn't was I was working at the time but they already said they'll bring it back but some should've been permanent especially lore ones.
We joined too late to even play the event to get Festering Desire!! If they bring it back that would be legendary.
@@DevieDarx I literally missed the event by a week or a few days when I finally had downtime from work, it was actually tragic
@@truegodofdestruction We feel you 😭 it feels impossible to have all the time to actually experience all the events have to offer and actually get all the goodies
in Star rail with the power of Terminus we can skip the story to do events

They should do so we can play the story of past events without the rewards! This way, players will still play on time to get the primos but still be able to experience the lore and fun mini games!
THIS IS SUCH AN UNDERRATED CHANNEL HELLO??? the dialogue? the editing? the vibe? absolutely 10/10 experience
Thank you so much for sharing this! YES, that is right! Cherish the moments because they are endearing.
Lol all that to say that we
feel what you mean when it comes to Genshin and time and whatnot.
@@DevieDarxthank you so much😭😭😭❤️❤️ also sorry for such a short reply to your paragraph, I totes agree with what you said!
The little animations are so adorable and the back and forth between you two is really original! Amazing work!
I’d imagine all events loaded on a tablet would take up too much space
wow i just loved your content keep up this energy😄

Looked at your channel to see what other videos you have, and to my surprise, you guys are a new channel! This vid was really well made, felt like you guys were doing this for years. Subbed!
Awww thank you that means a lot!!
This is such a goood idea for this!! I always hoped for that I've could play all the events like in Star Rail....
So i started the video yesterday and had to leave and finish later, but I'm pretty sure when i left there were only 14 subscribers so congrats on blowing up lol!
i feel like there's a lot slowly building in the game to perhaps give us the chance to rewind time and replay/revisit periods of limited time (story) events
having (both) golden apple archipelago(s), bottleland, and simulanka as permanent maps would be great, and events like unreconciled stars, i'd love to play firsthand
i don't see us getting the 'limited time rewards', similar to hsr, but still, just a system that unlocks at some point like this would be really nice
This is good Copium. Hopium, even.
I still fear that one day the servers will be shut down ...
i joind the game 2 years late because i didn't have a device that could support it and remembering the amount of content I've missed makes me super sad every time 😭😭😭
I missed the events that had Festering Desire, Cinnabar Spindle, Klee's Dodoco book... and a few more where I can't get the weapons for my completionist account T^T
I didn't realize how the game worked when I first started so there was so many events that I just skipped or missed because of burnout :'(
I started not that long after release so despite being a longtime player I feel like I've missed so much and it's made me anxious about playing now because I don't want to miss the limited events and free character's and the free weapons D'X
It's not how I want to be, because the game is so beautiful and amazing - so I hope they legitimately rerun events and let new and old players experience them fully, potentially for the first time as everyone should get at least 1 chance to!
Of course I missed potential lore by mashing through the _web events._
Size is only a issue if it's a mandatory download, just make it that we can install and uninstall any event at any given time.
This also makes me think of the looked door that was in the library they turned it into a new end game mode
Noway u used the Team Chaotix theme in the background. Recognized it instantly.
@@meddlecat Ah a person of culture. Glad you enjoyed it!
the files for the events are still in the game actually
👀So there's hope...
We thought the same thing!! They put so much effort and care into these limited events, just to lock them away. Hopefully that changes soon!!
I hope so. Because i really need to get my hands on a festering desire. The event ended just as i started playing. I was level 20 and couldnt survive the trek up deagonspine. Now, I'm ready.
Hearing the DQ9 music brought a smile to my face :]

Still wait for food delivery event to come back
Arknights has past event able to be replayed. You need a to use a resource to unlock them and it's a little limited (basically costs 15 starglitter, only one per 2 weeks) but you also get the rewards from the events - limited characters and skins included. There are other ways to get the item and all players receive 3(?) at the start
I think that having some way to get the weapons is important, and arknights is another example of how it can be done.
(Also I haven't played arknights in awhile so I might have gotten some details wrong)
okay, I would normally comment on the topic of the video
but is that gragon quest music I hear???? gah yasss
Probably once all regions are released they’ll continuously release events etc to keep it going
@@nickplaysgames9997 We are very much hoping so!
4:31 BRO WHATT
I PLAYED IN THIS EVENT, BUT I DON'T REMEMBER THAT AT ALL
We really hope you're right!! The Xbox release would really be the perfect time to bring back past events.
CRAZY EDITING! How do you dontn have more subs
With Mona we could revive past quests , and with Xianyun , past events
@@DevieDarx Oh
Sorry I assumed too much since you guys are extremely knowledgeable about the game and the story.
I love yt love all the little animations and stuff they’re so nice and cute 😊
It wouldn't surprise me if past events return when the main storyline reaches it's official end.

Sorry if this is quite long I just got carried away 😅
