Hey Ike, that lag you mentioned at 8:45 is what I've been experiencing with my Z6 as well and one of the main reasons I'm not switching over completely to mirrorless just yet. In your experience, does that only happen in low-light or with flash? Is there a difference if you use TTL vs manual mode on the flash? I haven't shot quite enough with the camera yet so I would like to get your opinion.
at 12:16 for real, I had the same exact problem. I was like wth. I tried looking for brackets online and there aren't any. I found something might work but the ring diameter is too narrow and won't fit mount on my godox 24in soft box. great vid

Even with the AF setbacks I still enjoy shooting weddings with my Nikon Z6 and will continue to do so. I recently shot a wedding with the Sony A7III, (that's where that A7III clip came from) and even though the Sony's AF performs better in low light, I still prefer the Nikons. My Nikon D750 still outperforms both cameras (Z6 & A7III) in low light BTW. But Sony does currently have a better selection of mirrorless native mount lenses and their cameras come with 2 card slots. So I will always recommend a person purchase the Sony over the Nikons until Nikons provide the needed upgrades in the next-gen of cameras. Unless you already own NIkon DSLR's and have some great Nikon glass at your disposal.
Hmm, we use both cameras, D750 and the Z6. It feels like the Z6 is a bit better in low light since fw 2.0. Anyway, nice video. 😊👍We use the D750 only in fast moving scenes with 3D-Tracking.
I shot most of my weddings with a D750 & it's still a beast but I'm starting to use the Sony mirror-less now so I'm going to have to get my FE mount lenses up to par , did a wedding with just the kit lens & some old manual pentax lenses that I adapted to FE mount . the Sony 28 - 70mm kit lens images came out so clean & sharp that it shocked me , I did the wedding in a rush with only 1 hour notice so I had to use the Sony a7II & kit lens & not the D750 with a good 85mm 1.8 prime lens but I came away with some of the best inside group photos I have ever taken. before I never even thought about taking wedding/reception photos with the whole scene in focus but last weekend I was kinda forced into it because of the kit lens & I love the way it came out some of the pictures look like they are out of a movie or something.
thats what I ve been telling all these time and they said I am lazy. its just a simple thing. with the press of a function button the autofocus turns to eye autofocus. and by releasing the button it turns back to where I had set it up. so simple, so easy to be done. its done by sony a7 series. to have this option we never loose a shot at a wedding, we never loose the moment. if I have to push buttons and turn wheels to change the autofocus mode then I lost the moment. an then I use less and less the eye autofocus mode because it isnt fast enough. without it the mirrorless becomes a dslr. Both!
Nicely done Ike! 👏
Just received my Godox V1 ! I love your videos, keep going !
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 thank you!
Z6/Z7 is CRAP. Nikon even knows it. They dropped the price to $1700. My D500 with Sigma 18-35 would have out performed this junk. You are skilled at what you do so you overcame the issues. A7III given to a blind man with eye AF on has a better chance. My 2K gladly went to Sony and yes I'm salty about all my difficult to adapt Nikkor glass😫😫😫😫. I should sell them but I'll wait till Z6 completely fails and is being sold for sub 1K with adapter, kit lens and 2 memory cards.
Sooooo basically you are saying is if you are not very skilled at photography, then Sony is the better bet. Interestingly enough I agree! If you can get past the menu and the awful user interface. The Sony system is a sure shot. Get it hehe. Ohhh K I’m leaving 🚶🏾♂️
Those dance moves tho
nice video
Thumbs up!
