The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

What a performer 🎺 !
Always gave maximum heart .
I feel it in my soul for this man. My heart is shattered
Man, been looking for this version for like 15 years!!
The man exuded a joy that was infectious. That was why he was brilliant.
You can see it on his face. This was the perfect song to tell his "behind the scenes" story, without really saying it outright. This is Beautiful ❤️
Love you Louie. Great Entertainer!

Classy dood
We don’t need a “backstory” or explanation of this. It is written on every note, every expression on both Louie’s and Ed’s faces, and every word sung.

How's it going awesome, today is out of hand.
a beautiful song about how goddamn horrible life can be.
❤️ J'aime cette chanson et bien sûr Loui Armstrong. Je pense qu'il était bipolaire comme moi, mais ça n'était pas à la mode !
Satchmo....the popular name of the jazz musician Louis Armstrong. It was short for 'satchel mouth', because he had a very large mouth. A satchel is a type of large bag.
He invented jazz
El Roi.
Glory hallelujah
