Very cool stuff, thanks for sharing. I keep finding out about different things from Texas and you guys have so much diversity down there I never realized.

It truly is such an untapped area for rockhounding (but we kinda like it that way 😂).

Texas agates are still relatively rare and unknown. My understanding is that its because most of the land in Texas is privately owned, and very little public land has them. These are awesome, thanks!

    Great video 🌟✨🌟
Beautiful agates and nice work. Since you asked I’ll give some suggestions. That freeform has a pretty good dome but especially on the triangle, shoot for less round on the edges and more round on the dome. Two reasons… a dome is easier to get the scratches out than in a flatter top, especially on a cab king. Also the light reflection is making a big white spot as opposed to a narrower line if it was more domed.. you’re losing the beauty of the face of it in both the front of the stone as well as on the over curved sides. Look at cabs online. I made the same errors when I just got started. Luckily I had an old timer mentor. Another thought is some of the slabs seem to have cut the tops off plumes. A 90 degress cut to that may show the whole plume. I’m still learning how to figure that one out . Aaron can give some suggestions.
Keep them coming! I enjoy watching! Cutting rocks to see what’s inside is like Christmas year round!

Those are truly gorgeous. Some of the nicest slabs I’ve seen In a long time. I had no clue Texas was the sleeping giant for picture perfect agate. I’m in West Virginia. Every state surrounding us has something special it offers. N we have!! Well we have coal :(

Well, look at it this way, without your coal it would be a lot more difficult for any of us to get to all those other amazing states! 😂

Hiya, awesome video and beautiful stones. Your cabs came out beautiful. Agates are hard to polish, they are as hard as quartz to polish. I do lapidary myself, and your right on about the stages, you can't miss any scratches or they will show themselves in the polishing stages, and you will have to redo. Keep up the awesome work. I hope you have a awesome blessed day.
    Cya! 😺🐟 out!

It's a labor of love and few people fully understand the work that goes into these little beauties.

Aaron and James are the best I try to go once a month when they are having hunts. I am hoping I get to go on the last weekend of the year at the Kokernot 06 ranch

Ooooo…That Autumn colored one! I need to do some ranch hunting. Typically, in Texas, I do road cuts or river hunting on the Rio Grande when I am down there for work.
