I do believe that when you are at a fire and you are filming, a lot of the guys whether they are Firemen, Fire women and/ or Policemen or Women know who you are from seeing your videos on youtube that they just leave you alone and let you film. They might know your name or they might not, but they figure hey this guy is giving us props and showing the world how hard of a job that they do. And you are right John, Whether they are a Fire Dept from New York or Chicago, or Denver or even London, or Tokyo. They are busting their humps to keep the citizens of each one of those cities safe. And they do it well. And you get the dream job of doing some awesome filming of them. What could be more rewarding then that for us average Joe's of The Planet Earth.

I just wish I could do more, then just kind words or words of encouragement. You deserve it. I really like your videos John, It is amazing to me to see how firefighters do their job. Your filming helps me to see what is out there in the real world. Of course I watch other videos, that I like or enjoy. Being stuck in a Crappy Nursing Home is not fun, not at all. Anything for an distraction John. And for me to be able to praise you is just my little way of saying THANK YOU, FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

Hi there John, he're is that Dutch guy back again .. Loads of respect for all your footage you've shot over the years, including this one!
Maybe i've got an impossible question for you: When you are already on site, could you please consider to make a full story, when additional units are called into the scene. And by doing so, make a full coverage of their arrival and how those units are directed by Command, in their positions/placement ( Eg. Engine 69 and Tower Ladder 44 in this vid.. Engine 69 within reach of an available hydrant, and the distance between Engine 69 and Tower Ladder 44 .. And HOW that "chain" is built up) They arrived "later on" and my question is, Can you make a full-size coverage from scratch on arrival of additional units, until those units are fully operational and start their contribution to battle the fire on site..., I like to know the tech stuff behind all the batteling by all the good people of the FDNY!!
(Yes I know it is an impossible question to make a full size coverage, when more then one additional unit arrives on scene, but can you at least give it a try John, to show me (and all other viewers) another level of understanding how much effort it takes for all members of the FDNY, before any unit is operational).
Arriving on site, getting directions of their desired position, all groundwork to be operational, (from Engine #** Lines in from Hydrant, lines out to additional called ladder/towerladder and that unit's preparation before it is operational as well... (Hell of a job to shoot full coverage of such ;-) ... )
(I know.... Again.. my lowsy english, makes it maybe hard to understand what I'm asking of you. I really hope you can help me out with this one John! ..
Kind regards, Jaap, the Hague, the Netherlands

John, I didn't know about this fire until I watched a short report with a 30 second video clip on eyewitness news. I immediately turned on my computer and there were several other short video clips and stories about this fire. I immediately knew to get the full report and video of this incident I would have to turn to your UA-cam channel and there it was. Amazing video and narration on your part showing and explaining what was happening during your entire video. Once again I must say thank you so much for your dedication and perseverance in bringing your video reports of all types of incidents into our homes through You Tube. May God bless you and keep you safe at all times.

When the 1st set of FFs get swapped out for fresh FFs, when the first set of FFs get rested up and get their fluids, do they get to go back to work(fighting fire, etc) or are they done for that fire?
