“If they will take my kids back at school, I WILL DO WHATEVER THEY WANT!”
Hun, I feel you on a spiritual level
@Debbie H yess...i want time away from my kids too but i chose distance learning. It sucks but ifeel its safer.
I was super excited for my kids to go back too! And most importantly they were excited and so far everything is going fine for now.
Ticonderoga pencils 😂😂😂
@Debbie H I absolutely agree with you. Some schools were only open for 4 days and they had to close due to an outbreak. My area just had a huge outbreak at our hospital, due to not following protocols because the patient was an employee's parent. Sad. The protocols are there for a reason and should be followed regardless of how well you know people. It's a false sense of safety.
@Debbie H when our govt originally told us to treat this as if it's the flu, I google'd previous pandemics and read thru all of them. Vitamin c was mentioned twice so I took notes. #1. There was a study in 2009 where patients took as little as 200 mg of vitamin c which reduced the death rates by 80%. #2. Patients in China who tested positive for coronavirus were given IV drip of 24,000 mg of vitamin c which made me wonder if it's possible to overdose on vitamin c? I've talked to a few doctors who said no. Our body will use what it needs and then eliminate the rest thru your bodily wastes. BM.
So, I've looked at my Centrum vitamins and there's only 100 mg so I added 1,000 mg of vitamin c, with 2,000 mg of glucosamine to stay mobile, and 1200 mg of calcium plus 25 mg of vitamin d3. I take these vitamins in the morning bc I take thyroid pills at night. I also take 2 benadryl at both pill times bc I need sinus surgery. I'm job hunting now.
😍 I hope this helps keep everyone happy and healthy. Check with your doctors before taking the vitamin c in case of allergy or another medicine that may counteract it, like blood pressure meds? Or possibly prostate cancer meds? Stay safe.
It was me. I made the call to Audible. You’re welcome.
Many thanks, my friend! I have had several hours of book listening the last few days. :)
You ROCK Jen🎉💥
That's so awesome Jen!!
💜💜 @Jen that’s fantastic! I have definitely found audible to be a wonderful investment and they recently upped their included options making a membership an even better value. I save money by doing an annual membership, and I split my books between my choices and ones that I listen to with my kids. LOVE Audible!
Side note- @Frugal Fit Mom- I speed everything up too. Including UA-cam videos. My girls do too. It helps our ADHD minds focus. My husband does things at “regular” speed and it drives me bonkers. LOL.
@@ponkosmom #How?
Do you speed things up?
Bacon freezes like a dream. Since my stores sell it for $7 a pack, I'd happily go back for more bacon at that price. Wow ... only $1 for the good bacon.
I would grab 10 at least and would last me 6 months or so for family of 3. Lol
Ours is about $5 a pack for the store brand, Oscar Myer is closer to the $7. So $1lb is amazing!!!!
“Mom, you’re breaking cart rules!”
“THERE ARE NO CART RULES”
🤣. I loved that part. I could picture It.
Hilarious!
Got back and get the bacon! Especially if it is only a 1$
It’s ‘Best Before’ not ‘deadly after’ lol so we always use it as a guideline lol 🙌✌️💕🥰
I am very disappointed with Hailey. (Forgive me if I spelled that wrong!) Anyway...I am super disappointed. What a missed opportunity. She had you IN A CART inside of Walmart! You were at her mercy! She could have pushed you all over that store. She could have ran super fast & pretended to crash with you inside. She could have made you think she was going to let you out & when you tried, she could have started running again! The possibilities were endless.
I also just realized your very sweet daughter is more mature than me.....a wife & a mother of 5! 😂😂😂
Thanks for this laugh!!
I would go back and buy TWENTY more pounds of bacon! Lol I have 4 teenaged boys!
I have been so jealous of your grocery hauls as things are expensive where I live. Today I found bananas for 10 cents a pound. I got about 10 pounds and thought what would Christine do? So I got 30 pounds and it cost me 3.28 cents. I am going to do what you recommended and let them ripen and slice them into a freezer bag!!!! Love love love the channel.
You can also put them whole into the freezer and then use to bake (already mashed) plus I made really good banana jam from Pintrest too!
Yes, go get the bacon!!😀
You can never have to much bacon
Yes yes yes to bacon. Go get another 10-15 lbs!
YASSSS!!! Always more bacon!!!
Yeah if I had the up front money I'd get a car load!!
$1 a lb is crazy good!!!
Any story that ends with ''...and Mom didn't die!'' is a good story ;)
"And mom didn't die". Such a fun memory. I have been known to climb onto shelves at Walmart.
Oh? Are we not supposed to do that? Then why do they put things way up there?!?
I used to feel guilty about clearing out the supplies when I found an amazing deal. And then the pandemic hit and I didn’t need to go shopping for the first month at all. The second month was for fresh items. By the time we hit the 3rd month it was just the normal rotation of my Prepper Pantry.
Go back and get the bacon. No room in freezer? Dehydrate it in your oven for Bacon Jerky!
So jealous of the bread outlet and discount store! Nothing like that around here. Nothing with peanuts allowed in schools here either!
Us neither. Closest is an hour away. We do have an aldi though so I dig that...
I'm so hype for future Costco videos. I'm a corporate employee and Ive been looking up the new warehouses inventory when I'm bored like "I wonder if the Frugal family likes the Kirkland signature peanut butter pretzels..." Yeah you could say I've run out of things to do.
I agree about the Best Buy date is more of a guideline particularly for things like peanut butter
😂😅🤣 ..”there are no cart rules , I do what I want..!” Dying!!
"If they will take my kids back to school I will give them whatever they want."
🤣🤣🤣
Growing up, my mom shopped at the bread discount store too. We called it "the used" bread store because she is a major thrifter and yard sale shopper. haha
"There are no cart rules! I do what I want!" Girl, same. 😂😂😂
I just want to say, for those who recognize the origin of the "All the things!" meme shown at 1:22, that Allie Brosh (the comic who drew it) is coming out with a new book after years and years of no news. We know she's suffered from depression in the past so fans of her blog (Hyperbole and a Half) are rejoicing. If you want to see more of her artwork and her ridiculously funny stories, google Hyperbole and a Half or check out either of her books- Hyperbole and a Half- Unfortunate Situations or Solutions and Other Problems. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk (and sorry for shilling someone else's blog on Christine's channel).
Yay! I’m so happy to know this! 😊
Thank you for sharing! It's so important to support artists. 💕
That's wonderful! I've thought of her often through the years, hoping she's okay.
Thank u for your videos. I struggle with manic depression and with that comes fatigue. I enjoy your food hauls and recipes. It gives me motivation and a little sunshine in my day 💗
Omg christine i love the cart story. I work at Walmart in the sfs department "ship from store" we shop for customers online orders & pack them up then ship them out kinda like a mini amazon anyways i was laughing so hard listening to haily because we literally do the same thing if something is too high we do whatever we have to reach it ive climb on shelfs, carts, one time i even had to use a light saver from the toy isle & a walking cane that extended and even a broom i usually carry one of those items in my cart all day to knock things off the top shelf... we always yell short people problems when we see each other on the sales floor climbing & knocking over things😆
Bacon $1..... GET IT!
"Bookmarks are for quitters"... priceless!!! Going on my quote board and maybe a wall hanging for a couple of remarkably fast reading friends. Thanks!!
Aww I love those shots of the kids! Show their personalities so well!
Your littlest dude is SUPER cute! I smile every time he comes on camera!
Andrew has the funniest personality!
I love how excited you are about your daughter gift
Oh my granddaughter would dive into those Takis. She's Hallie's age .ok now I just aged myself. Miss having a bread outlet store near me
Stay safe
Your kids are just the sweetest...
I just discovered your channel and ive been binging it for days now😂😂😂 love you Christine, you put so much effort to feed your family and YOU ARE NOT LAZY AT ALL!!! lots of love!!!😘😘😘
Same!
Great deals! Wow for the Skippy price. As a vegetarian, no to the bacon, ha! But you do you.
My daughter also loves Takis. If we can find them under $3, I splurge and will pick up a bag.
Those almonds are delicious but evil. Also love those Costco chips.
I am down the rabbit hole and have been watching your videos all afternoon. I really needed your refreshing frugal mind!! Thank you!💙
I love the fun relationship you two have
great video! You cracked me up when talking about the kids going back to school! Your family is adorable!!!
Gaaahhhh!!! I love Ryan! Good luck with the new year, Frugal Fit Kids!
I am soooo loving your everyday videos. Thanks so much
Beverly
"There are no cart rules! I do what I want!" Yes! Live your truth Christine!
The twisted ranch are wonderful! My daughter loves Takis as well. She is in Navy bootcamp right now.
Such an amazing haul! You were not lying about how epic this was going to be. I would definitely go get more bacon because you can’t beat $1/pound for bacon. Hope Haley has an amazing birthday and hoping your kids stay safe when going back to school. Much love to you and your family ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love that you're reading some of my favorite books! ENJOY!
If you save the lids off the peanut butter jars they fit perfectly on canning jars. I use them to put on my jars after I open them instead of the canning lids
That is brilliant! Never would have thought to try it
Thank you! I did not know this
Omg!!! I love Sarah J !! Court of is my favorite series
Love the Ender series of books! And the narrator for the audiobooks has a great voice.
That bread haul 😱 that’s amazing!
Listen, I always get super excited when there's book content, as I have a booktube channel. You're making my heart sing over here.
"And mom didn't die" hahahha
I love your kids, they seem like such good people!
DID YOU TOUCH EVERYTHING, CHRISTINE?! DID YOU?! 🤣❤️
So fun!!! Absolutely love your videos!
The court series is my absolute favorite!
Cute water bottle story. Making memories.
I use to always get high Sierra backpacks for school and one backpack would last me at least 3 years! Super durable and they had good comfort padding. Love the backpacks you got for your boys
Great video. Thank you for going through the trouble of sharing all this with us. I definitely get ideas from food hauls as well. Go Costco!
Sarah Maas is one of my favorites! I love the Court of Thorn and Roses series!
I am same way with gifts. Its hard to keep from giving gifts when I know they will love it!❤❤
In my opinion, this is one of the best videos that you've posted. I enjoyed your hauls and it was nice that you included your kids. I pray for safety and good health for all of the kids returning to school.
Thank you!
I’m loving Vlogaust! A video everyday!!! 🤗
Your kids are awesome! So sweet how grateful they are and happy
I would go back for more bacon. May never see it that price again.
OMG A Court of Thorns and Roses!! That whole series is one of my most favorite of all time. Enjoy!
Loved the haul!! Your kids are amazing and the waterbottle story🤣🤣 I get so excited when I've found the perfect gift too! I can see your joy radiating about it! Haley will love it!! Sorry if the spelling is wrong... I too have a Haley. Stay safe over there!!
Best water bottle story ever. I'm usually the one reaching/climbing on shelves because I'm like 4" taller than my mom and apparently I'm more agile than her. Also, your kids are all so stinking cute but Ryan is just ADORABLE. He's so excited about his backpack. All four of them crack me up though.
WOW to the bread score - and the snacks -
Why can't I live closer to you? We can go clearance shopping all the time!! 🥰🥰 I rave about your channel! Love it.❤🙌🏼
Nice score christine! At first I was like "wth"...but then duh...I grew up in a 6 person household...food goes quick.
Hope your kids have a safe start for back to school 🤗
I love space and stuff too. That’s why I became an aerospace engineer. I also love Orson Scott Card books.
Insane haul! I love to get more ideas for kids lunches. Our schools are fully peanut free and also peanut substitute free - I always get excited for any ideas that might fit our school restrictions.
Rise and shine with Christine!!!
“There are no cart rules. I do what I want!” 😂😂😂 dying
The almond chocolate balls are SO good ! We keep ours in the freezer! Delish treat!
Back to school....every year the same....but 2020 is special.
I bought the running gloves last winter and I love them. They held up all winter and worked very well. Although I do live in a less harsh winter climate than Idaho.
LOVE THAT BOOK SERIES!
I do alot of grocery frugal hauls on my channel as well. Yes, go get the bacon if you use it alot and you have the freezer room. I always stock up as well when there is a huge sale going on!
Love, love Audible! Have been a subscriber for many years.
Yes! The Pho is SO good!
Yes run get more before it’s gone. Great haul.
The Court of Thorns and Roses series is amazing!!!!
A higher calling is a great inspirational book. Sweet couple fellow UA-camrs.
You & Dave have such lovely kids.
Best wishes to then for a fantastic school year! 👌
Thank you so much!
That’s so funny I’m reading City of Bones right now! The trilogy was with my friend for the past 4 years and I just got them back.
costco is DANGEROUS! and those almond coconut things are sooo good
As a short person, I can so relate to that water bottle story. I've been known to go to cookware and get some tongs (especially the super long bbq ones) to help with my top shelf quests. Haven't tried climbing in a cart yet though, haha.
Definitely go back! Bacon here in Northern Va can run $5-7/12oz. Great score!
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! Binge watched some yesterday
Nice haul! I googled discount stores in my area all I got was Walmart and Dollar General! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 your very fortunate to have access to what you have! Thanks for sharing!
"There are no cart rules; I do what I want" is a M O O D
I decided to get the same brand of backpacks last year for two of my boys and they held up really well. We normally have to buy new ones every year but this brand is amazing. I think they will be able to use them for a few more years. Great choice!
The wasabi ranch is so good!
That right mama. Don't fight the pb&j. No sense complicating things when your family is happy with simple! :-) I needed to hear that.
Oh yea, those kirkland protein bars are not great. Good for when I'm out and my hypoglicemia attacks, but they have a very distinct...like bitter taste to them.
Also, all those jars of peanut butter all lined up together was very satisfying to look at. I actually paused the video to just look at them and count them! So cool
My son and I volunteer for our local food bank and they have guidelines they follow for expiration dates on food. It’s different based on the item. For example I believe canned veggies are ok up to 5 years past the date on the can. Thanks for sharing your haul, it was fun to watch.
Love Atkins bars, great low carb treat when you are craving something sweet!
what a great haul from the discount store!
I love the Enders Game series, its definitely in my top 5 as well 😍
Ooh! Spicy pumpkin seeds. Great snack
City of Bones was a great book and The Court of Thorns and Roses is on my to read list! Ah! Can’t wait to read.
Bacon, yes! That is worth another trip.
I have been a member of Audible for years and I listen to mine on 1.25 to 1.5 speed too! And my husband loves Orson Scott Card.
I love those head gloves. My family of 10 all have a pair of them. I need to go and get my little ones some for this fall as they have grown out o their current pairs. I've had mine for 2 years now. Here in Washington State we have them all winter, but it's much different weather than where you are in Idaho.
I love the Ender series too!
