Why am I calling this an extreme declutter in the hashtags? Because we barely have anything left to declutter to begin with so the outcome will be an ultra extreme minimalist home.

I am so over containers! If I didn't have my son and the stuff he needs, I would have zero expect for a cutlery holder.
Oh oh I get a toothbrush with a sticky suction on the bottom, so it just stands up right on the sink, no holder needed! Small things, but good!
For the projector you can buy the LG bean Q, it's very small and amazing. 😊
I already have another small one in my bedroom but thank you ☺️ I’ll check that out for when mine eventually wears out 😊

You remind me of me, and how somehow, we still have something we can get rid off... even if we haven't had stuff coming in [or even if we have] for quite some time. You and Explorvore inspired me to declutter some containers I had in the kitchen. I love the look of it but they are such a pain in so many more ways then the clean up of spilled oats or powder.

Have you considered not decanting things? I used to decant/reorganise stuff to make it look better, but I got rid of most containers. I only keep containers for the stuff that are not in drawers or cupboards, as I hate looking at labels and weird looking packaging
Yes that’s exactly what I’m doing now. I only put rice and spaghetti in jars 🫙 as they are the only thing that seems to end up all over our cupboards if we don’t. Also teas and coffees 😊
At this point, with all that you’ve decluttered this year, you and your partner must have less than 100 shared items now. 🤯
I know 😂 I’d love to do another count up 😂 but it seems to trigger so many people 😂 maybe I will just count and tell you. Rather than make a whole video about it 😊
@@SagelifeMinimalism Hmmm 🤔 I wonder why this triggers people. I love it because it challenges me to let go of more things that were unnecessary and possibly unused. Even though I doubt I’ll ever be as minimalist as you, I love the inspiration you give us all. ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for your videos! I love that this turned into a bit of a vlog. ❤ I'm so glad I'm not the only one who struggles with pretty, useful containers. Like yourself, I'm an extreme minimalist (who errs on the side of essentialist) and I also love interior design/organizing. I'm always drawn to containers like a fly to a light when I shopping (there are NEAT containers at thrift stores) and am always tempted "I'm sure I can find a use for this," but like you've mentioned in the past: no, I DON'T actually have a use for it because I don't have anything else to store. It's actually more stressful to bring them into my home without a clear use for them, because then they're sitting there reminding me to come up with a use for them and I can't, but I just bought them, then feel bad that I wasted money. lol
Your resolve not to keep or buy more containers has strengthened my resolve. I recently decluttered a number of them and it's so freeing. They were really cool and pretty, but I wasn't willing to swap them out with the ones I WAS using. I am looking to upgrade a couple of containers, but will be decluttering the old ones. I do like to keep just a few that I know I CAN use in the future (because sometimes I like/need to rearrange items), but I still have some that I'm probably NEVER going to use, and I don't want to keep them around for "one day."
It's nice to see someone like-minded about their belongings. I live with other people so my bedroom is really the main place I can store most of my things. Storage is a struggle because I have to keep most of my toiletries in my room and I have to store my all my diy skincare ingredients. It constantly feels like I have too much stuff. 😩 but my room feels much better after getting a few things out. ❤😄
Thank You. ☺️ I feel for you with the storage. This is the smallest apartment I’ve ever lived in but it also has the least amount of storage. So we feel the same 😂 That everything is constantly out. Which as definitely sparked me to declutter more sooner 😊

I'm not sure if I'm the only one who's having issues with the audio being "buzzy" (my son calls it the beezzz, lol!). I use headphones so maybe that's part of the problem, but I don't have the same problems on other channels or with your other videos that were recorded using your other equipment. I've tried turning the audio down but it doesn't really seem to help. I'd be curious to know if anyone else has the same problem. I really enjoy your videos so hopefully can find a way to watch them without this issue during the month you'll be using your iphone to record :).
On this particular video I did mention there was the washing machine on in the background. So I feel this one is particularly worse. As in some parts I tried to reduce the background noise. Which is something you can still do on the iMovie phone app. I’ve always thought however it gives it a slight strange echoey noise in the background even if it makes my words clearer. So I’m not sure which is worse. Maybe on future videos I’ll just amp the volume levels where needed but not attempt to reduce background noise. Which I think maybe the issue you mean 🔊 😊
@@SagelifeMinimalism Thank you, I was able to play around with the different volume controls (computer/headphones/youtube), it's still there but is definitely better than it was :).
It always amazes me how much you continue to find to declutter each time. Love your channel and look forward to seeing each post. Keep up the good work. Would love to see some vlogs of the surrounding area in which you live as well. Love the really old buildings etc. We don't have as much history here in NZ. Hugs 🫂
Thank You ☺️ I did do a couple of vlogs once here. One particularly features a lot of the surrounding area. It was ‘a week in my life.’ It’s actually my least watched video ever 😂 Which is why I don’t do vlogs that often. But I may revive the vlogging for abit 😂 ❤️

Do you really need a carpet?
It’s a rental property so we cannot change the floors. I’d love to have a home with hard wood floors at some point. I really don’t like carpets. Although they do help to insulate these 200 year old non energy efficient homes. 🏡

Love decluttering containers! It seems very fitting for extreme minimalism - keeping only the essentials.
Also, the bathroom isnt that dark. I think the camera brightens the picture 😊.
