dvr looks quite good .looked better before the upload of course . all my other videos were using the scout dvr .so you can now compare the cobra x dvr to the scout by watching the videos

I know that DVR does not do the justice so how do you feel about the Cobra X compared to what you had earlier?

    • @fnkycoldmedina

the dvr is quite good .outside might even look better . how do i feel about the cobra x vrs the scouts? the cobras have a higher resolution on paper . in real life the difference between the 2 is negligible.
the 18650 life on the cobra is very poor. a fully charged 18650 lasts 20 minutes then the screen goes black .
skyzone put out a update that adds a 10 second beeper and visual alarm(battery low on screen) but that does not help battery life ,it still dies in 20 minutes .
this goggle really needs to be external powered and i did that today with a 3s 2200 . its a older one a bit tired but i got 45 minutes use and that lipo was still at 51% when i finished with 8 whoop flights today .
alot of reviewers will say the material feels premium but i disagree . its plastic ,if i dropped it it would break most likely . the shell on the scouts feel more premium .
the lower eye sockets have light leakage (could just be my face) the strap could be better .i do not have a small head nor a overly large one but the velcro adjustments are near their limits and still feels a bit loose fitting . the scouts fit better! the scouts have a better strap .
the scouts can run a 18650 for 45 minutes or more .
the 18650 battery clip on the cobras is hard to open .i cannot open it with a fingernail ,i have to use a flathead screwdriver . i feel repeated attempts to open that tray will break that clip ,only time will tell but thats how i feel .
i feel this goggle is best suited for external power and just leave the 18650 in there full time .your external power will charge that 18650 while your using the goggle so why mess around with it .
kinda disappointing about the battery life though ,i didnt really want to be tethered but really there's no choice .
the fov is about the same on the cobras and the scouts as both run 16:9 but to me the scouts image appears closer and a bit bigger to the eye . that makes sense as a higher resolution will make the image smaller persay on a same size screen with lower res.
skyzone should have had a lipo holder built into the head strap knowing how little time you will have using a 18650 .
all in all its a good goggle with a good picture . it doesnt get any better then these or the scouts for box goggles .
and for those guys like me who need a reader for small print (i wear a 2x) these and the scouts are a godsend as i do not need any glasses inside the goggles to get a great picture .
i have not used these outdoors yet so i cannot comment on range vrs the scouts but i will when the weather gets better .
one more thing ,the dc in power plug is on the bottom of the goggle .not sure if thats the norm but when you take them off you have to put them on their side ...aka you cannot lay them flat down . i think i would have preferred that power jack on the top or the side .
anything specific you want to know feel free to ask me .i will be keeping both goggles .

@@fnkycoldmedina thank you very much!!! You answered most of questions I would do already. One thing I am curious about is what happens when you have the 18650 inside and unplug your external power - does it keep on or it goes off and you need to turn on again?
I had issues in the past with my old Eachine when the battery protection circuit would simply cut the power without any warning and if I was not flying a wing (where I quickly just turn on Loiter or RTH) it would be bad. :)
