Does the diverter fit square downpipes or just round ones.

Does the diverter block the downpipe so the butt gets all the water? If so, what do you do when the butt is full, and you want the water to go down the drain again?

The ones I've seen have a collar on the inside so most of the water goes down the drain and only some is diverted. If the but becomes full no additional water will go in the butt and it will all go down the drain pipe

@@jamespears1731 thank you James, that sounds perfect. In that case I'll go face the mess in the shed (aka my garden supplies filing system), dig out the collar adapter which must be in there but no idea where, move my butt to nearer the downpipe this weekend and give this a go. Cheers

Hi, sorry for the delay. As you've already been advised, if the waterbutt is full, the diverter kit makes sure the water goes to the drain so the waterbutt will never over flow 😊

Hello! The excess water will simply go back through the Diverter and down the drain. Make sure to not fit the Diverter too high or it will overflow. Hope this helps! 🧡

Surely the diverter should be slightly higher? Any reason why it's level?

Hi, there! The pressure of the water is enough to push it through when level but you can install it slightly higher if you wish. Hope this helps! 😊

If the tank fills up it will overflow easier if it’s level.
