    Any Indian here, thinking, wait did our "Cheela" just get repackaged as 'Vegan Frittata'?😁😁 We love it and it's amazing that Italia Plant Based tried making this. Please do try this one you all! Tastes yum with a variety of dips that we call chutneys but am sure it will taste great with ketchup/salasas as well.

      This is also a vegetarian pancake and can be made with different flours and a variety of spices. I like a plain yogurt topper.

      Yes, I was thinking same, infact I have tried this, like with thick layer baking version in oven with grated potatoes, Veges and vege cheese ,,,I love this, will try in pan too....

    Mi piace molto come hai impostato il tuo vlog. In italia si tende a fare video di ricette condite con premesse e parole inutili il più delle volte. Invece la cucina è da sempre osservare ed eseguire restando concentrati. E tu con queste semplici ricette dai un ottimo esempio di come si lavora.

    In India we use chickpea flour a lot (its called besan in hindi) its super flavourful and very versatile.. roast to add thickness to curries or smoky feeling or use as a coat for stuff or this which is called cheela in North India . But myself I haven't used zucchini (not very easily available) before... Will try it.. Thanks for the idea 😊

      I make Cheela using every possible veggies 😉. I just grate some zucchini, carrots , broccoli 🥦 etc . In Besan and it’s done . It taste great 😊.

      As everyone said concept is same. But chickpea flour is different from Besan. Besan is made from kala chana while chickpea flour is made from kabuli chana. I think in abroad they prefer to use Chickpea/Garbanzo more.

      You have just more developed culture for veg.food! I am russian, so believe it or not, we have never had chickpease before:))) I mean there are and were some other alternatives....:)))

    If you want to give it an " eggy" taste chuck some black salt in there, also helps override the floury taste that you can get with chicken pea flour.

    Very nice! Dry roasting the chickpea flour slightly before would enhance the flavour and get rid of any raw feel in the mouth that someone people don't like. Thank you again.

    Ciao, ti faccio un sacco di complimenti per questa ricetta semplice ma fantastica. La faccio praticamente ogni settimana e mi diverto a cambiare ingredienti. Ho provato anche a mettere metà farina di ceci, metà farina di lenticchie e devo dire viene molto morbida. Sei un grande!

    I know this is a Christian channel but nothing more attractive than a man who can cook! I just started vegan diet few weeks ago and my body felt so different but yesterday I had chicken legs and I felt bloated. Back to vegan.

    I made this today and it was FABULOUS! I used kala namak to get more of an eggy taste, but that's the only change I made. I can't wait to try it with different vegetables. It's definitely going to be one of my go-to recipes when I want something delicious and easy. Thanks for posting it.

Grazie di cuore 🙏 Non sono vegana, ma sarei interessata a divenire, gradualmente, almeno vegetariana, per un ideale animalista, innanzitutto, e in secondo, anche per una questione di gusto, dato che ogni volta che mangio carne (quelle rare volte) non mi piace granché, anzi... Dunque sento di poterne fare tranquillamente a meno.

    It's good to expand the vegan cuisine with alternatives to soy but there is nothing wrong with soy. As long as it's organic, it will also be GMO-free. Isoflavones are present in chickpeas, too, albeit in lower amounts. It's very interesting how people worry about plant estrogen and completely disregard cow's milk which has hormones.

      Ciao Anne, se vuoi farla senza olio ti consiglio la versione al forno. Le zucchine io le soffriggo con acqua, ma la frittata ho paura che ti si attacchi alla padella.     Didn'[t work for me. While cooking on the first side, the bottom burned somewhat, while the top was still not cooked. When I transferred the frittata to a plate, the bottom stuck to the pan in spots so that it no longer was circular in shape on the plate. When I placed it back in the pan, some parts fell on top of the others and it no longer filled the pan. (It would have been helpful if you specified the diameter of the frying pan you were using.). It looked like a cross between a hash and a pie. The bottom stuck once again as it cooked further until I finally turned it out onto the plate. Rather a mess. Seems to taste pretty good, but, apparently, it takes some experience to get the temperatures right. Not as easy as it looks in the video.

      Hi Jeff, thank you for your message. I am sorry that your frittata didn't turn out successfully. If you feel that you wanna it another go some time in the future, have a look at our blog linked in description, where we specify pan diameter (I used non-stick and 12 inches, that is 28 cm), TIPS, and also some errors that I made in the process. Maybe it's helpful :-)

    La pastella di farina di ceci non va fatta riposare prima di cuocerla? A me resta piuttosto indigesta così :(

      Secondo me non ce ne è bisogno. Abbiamo fatto tanti test è il risultato è praticamente identico. Per fargli assorbire meglio i liquidi puoi frullarla con un minipimer. Tutto qui.

    Grazie Nico!!! È proprio la ricetta che cercavo!!!! A me piace la frittata, ma nella dieta posso anche farla, senza esagerare; la frittata con le uova, intendo, con due uova intere; sennò dovrei usare 3 albumi e dare il colore con un po' di curcuma, come fai tu per la crema pasticcera senza uova

    This looks amazing. For people complaining about digestive issues, I have some ideas.
    Add pinch of turmeric powder- No taste and helps in digestion.
    Add black salt as suggested by others- eggy flavor and no gassy feeling
    You can also add fennel seeds or pinch of fennel powder and try roasting the flour before making.
