I've been putting off getting the LockNLube grease gun coupler for a a couple years now...glad I waited so I can order it through your affiliate link.
@@TheTwinCitiesBestHomesdotcom first of all, I really appreciate your support! Second, you will love the lock and lube!
Best father I could ask for, so proud of you. Love you.
Best comment yet. I love you! ❤️
We'll be watching!
Thanks Hank and Gina! ❤️
Been there twice myself! I’m sorry to hear about your layoff.
Love your attitude!
Thanks for sharing Tim. This actually is not my first time either, which maybe makes it a little easier. But you certainly don’t expect it after a decade of service. I appreciate your support, and I’m sorry for your loss in your family that required you to leave the farm machinery show early.
We'll be right there with you soon, my friend! Tractor Hard! 🚜💪!
You two are amazing! Keep up the great work!
Sorry to hear of your situation, Ed. Hang in there and things will get better.
Thank you! We are ready for this new chapter!
Heck yeah man God speed to you!
Thank you!
Well Ed I know it doesn’t look like it now but they did you a huge favor. You have so much more talent and value to grow in social media platforms . I am looking forward to your future content. Thanks for the video 😁👍🚜💨☀️
Thank you, Mitch! I appreciate your support, encouragement, and positive attitude!
Hey, we’re here to help as much as learn. So, we’re really glad you’re here and we’ll roll up OUR sleeves, and get to work helping you build your channel. 🙏🏻👍🏻❤️
Thank you, Keith! 🙏❤️
Best thing that happened to me at age 55 was walking out that door for the last time after 37 years of service. Today at 67 I look back and don't regret the change in my life. Look forward and just live one day at a time.
Thanks for your encouragement!
You seem to have your head on correctly, well spoken and think things through. I believe you will do well, this may be just the push you needed to dive into your social media dream. Wishing you the best, now get out there and enjoy creating content!
Thank you, Andrew. I know you took the plunge so I appreciate your encouragement and support!
Dang. After my 16 years in a similar position, my company was sold (for the book of business ((acounts)) ) and the CEO told me face to face "you're not wanted" the day before Thanksgiving 2020. Since lost absolutely everything I worked for all my life, even my clothes, and am now homeless at 55. The farm would have had the 30yr mortgage paid off in April after only 8 years. Not sure if the worst was the Kubota repo or the house repo including contents. Was going to bank as much as possible then work at Lowes and draw SSI. And NO we weren't a family as they brainwashed us. Not one person reached out to me including blood. My *real* family helps each other when we can. Glad things are ok with you Ed & Ayn, wish you the best. My doggy sends paw waves to Hachi.
Thank you for sharing and I’m sorry that you went through that horrible experience!
Congrats on retirement Ed! Always enjoy your vids. All good. New chapter, that's all. You will do great. :) Cheers my friend!
Thank you, Gord! I always appreciate your support and encouragement. 👍
Life sucks and as you discovered, there is no dedication to a valuable employee any more. As a police officer I escaped the dreaded termination as I was protected by state law but having no idea what you did, you had none of that protection. I love your videos as I have the same tractor you do and you have great ideas and plans. You seem to be a very nice man and all you have to do is downsize a bit and you will be fine. Keep kicking ass with your videos and do more of what you enjoy doing and do NOT worry about the upper chair suits care. Take care of yourself, because they sure as hell will not take care of you!
Unfortunately, you are right! I appreciate your support! We are ready to move on.
@@MyClutteredGarageYou will do fine. We are kind of neighbors, sort of!
Sorry to hear about your job loss Ed. I'm sure you will turn those lemons into lemonade by building up your channel. You are lucky to have a wife like Ann to give you support and encouragement. Keep those great videos coming!
Thank you!
Good luck I support you all the way.
Can’t thank you enough!
Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy your videos and look forward to many more! Everything happens for a reason. Enjoy your time and enjoy the farm!
Thank you, Brian! I really appreciate it!
I retired early, not by choice but by necessity. We weren't prepared for it, but it didn't crush us, either. It went like this: retired 12-1-23. We have a small horse farm in the Pacific Northwest. In January, we decide life would be better and easier with a tractor. I spend almost all of January researching tractors, financing, etc. On February 1, we drive down to Olympia and buy our first tractor. I spend the next week watching every Kubota video I can, and I stumble upon your channel and subscribe. I watch at least one of your videos every day. Absolutely love the channel. Oh, and today, February 21, our Kubota is being delivered. Thanks for all you've done to help everybody. We find your work to be invaluable. Good luck with the new gig! We'll be watching.
Thank you so much for sharing and for your support. Contgrats on your "retirement" and on your new tractor! -Ed
Ed don't worry the same thing happened to me 2 years ago with the fire dept for 28 years new chief came in cut my rank and pay all 12 of us left within a year, I went ahead and retired the best thing that I ever had happen. You will be ok, and everything will work out have a great week.Dont worry.
Thank you for your encouragement! I really really appreciate it!
Ed I kinda know how you feel. For me it was my HR person playing doctor and a VP that if he didn't like anyone you were gone. It is sad that good employees are let go for people who don't want to work because they are friends with upper management. I like your channel and I gave commented before with you. I just never get to see your live posts. We will get by. One good thing is that when you can afford it you can do anything or go anywhere at anytime. You can start a project and not have plan it for just certain days or leave it for a few days because you would be at work. I am going to be waiting for your next video. Lots of respect and love from James in Washington state.
Thank you, James. I really appreciate it!
Sending lots of love. You ar the Mr. Rogers of the cluttered garage!
My wife had the same thing happen to her that has happened to you.
She helped start up a home health care agency, and spent TWENTY SEVEN YEARS of her life making this one of the top companies in the state!
She was the Director of Human Resources, and basically ran the office and clerical departments.
As with you, the company took on another investor that decided to RESTRUCTURE the company, and they no longer required her services. AND, they let the Director of the nursing department go too! These two women RAN THE COMPANY, while the owner of the company RAN IT INTO THE DIRT.
They did her a favor in the long run as she is no longer working 24/7, and has found a part time job that makes her very happy. She is at retirement age, but works because she wants too.
I am sure you will come out of this OK, and I will surely continue to support your channel.
Thank you. I’m sorry that happened to your wife. I saw it over and over again but you just try to believe it won’t happen until it does. It’s especially painful when you work for an organization whose whole mission is to do good. We are excited for the future. I hope your wife is doing well.
You’re a gem Ed! You and Ayn are going to be just great, you have each other, a beautiful home and the best UA-cam channel I’ve ever seen. Real, to the point and I’ve learned so much from you! Like how to get a “stuck in the mud tractor unstuck”… and there’s how to use the float on the front bucket… I’ve watched every single video and can’t wait to see what else you’re up to in the future. 🎉🚜♥️
Wow, thank you! That means a lot to me.
You got this! Happened to me 4 yrs ago, early retirement has worked out great! Debt free is the way.
Amen! Thank you!
Please keep up the great videos. The corporate devils will suck the life right out of your soul you’re better off without them. I’ve been independent for over 40 years now retired and happy happy happy keep up the great work.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you!
When life hands you lemons… you have a great attitude. Good luck in your next adventure
Thank you!
As your wife said, you will be all right. I lost a high paying job and lots of company stock when I was younger. I got a low paying government job but was still able to retire at 60 to enjoy life. Losing my high stress job was a blessing in disguise. You have a gift when it comes to being a content creator and you will do well at it, I promise. I enjoy all of your videos and watch almost all of your lives on Monday. Keep up the good work!!!
Thank you! I believe unfortunate to realize how precious and short life is. I think we’re going to be OK too!
Sorry to hear about your Job
I hope you the best and know it is maybe a blessing in disguise
You will continue to gain support and success in your new endeavor !
Continued success and best of luck
Continued support here from PFON 👍👍👍
Your Friend
Phil
Thank you, Phil! I appreciate it!
I just found your channel yesterday as I just bought a Kubota tractor and really enjoy your videos in fact last night I stayed up until 1:30 in the morning watching. Lol. I just bought a shirt to help you and I hope you continue in your success. I surely will watch your videos I really enjoy them. Thank you!
I can’t thank you enough! Thanks for following along and thanks for buying a shirt!
You will be great, you have your health, a loving wife and great family. A man can't ask for more than that in life.
Thank you. You’re right about that!
Wow Ed sorry to hear this news but We are here and will be here. You and Ayn got this. Keep up the great work .
Thank you, Bob! I know that you are sincere and really appreciate your support!
Every ending opens up the chance for a new beginning. Hopefully, the beginning of a great adventure! With a supportive partner, and incredible attitude and a cute dog to boot. :) Wish you well..
Thank you! We are ready!
Sorry you were let go like that and under those circumstances. I know first hand what you are going through and it’s often not fair. Be careful not working a 9-5 job. Staying home and not going into work is addictive!
It’s not uncommon! Thank you for your comments!
I can relate. The company I worked for closed the doors and moved to Mexico. 35 years and boom. See ya bucko. But like you I’m gonna be ok. I prepared for my future. I was gonna retire in 4 years anyway. Early retirement and loving it.
35 years is a long time! I’m glad it worked out for you. We have an optimistic outlook!
I truly hate to hear this Ed. Loyalty is something that has never existed or at least not in many years. We as your subscribers and hopefully friends will continue to support you. Best of luck on your channel and may God bless you and Anne and provide all that you need.
Thank you. I appreciate it. I’ve worked for companies where it was clear that there was no loyalty, but it definitely stings when you’re led to believe there is loyalty. Sort of like getting duped. But we will press on and are ready for this next exciting chapter!
Question: Do you make more money if we watch the ads versus just skipping past them? Also, I am 40 and just made a career move I did not think I was going to make and could not be happier! You make good videos so keep up the good work!
Thank you and congratulations! I don’t know for sure, but I think it helps to watch a little way past the “skip” mark. I appreciate your support!
Sorry about the job Ed. The same thing happened to a good friend of mine and he was with the company to 22 years. I'm glad that everything is ok for you and your wife. You know what the say about things happening for a reason.. Well I really don't buy into to that theory but we do often find a way through to an even better life after something like this happens. You have a great channel and do such a good job with your videos. I hope your channel grows quickly and you can make this a full time gig. We're all rooting for you.
Thanks John! We are ready to accept the challenge! I appreciate your support and encouragement.
I'm so sorry to hear that this happened. Unfortunately, I've seen it way too many times. It happened to my old boss 10 yrs ago which is largely why I left that company in 2019. I had an outstanding job with outstanding pay, but I just left it for a risk elsewhere. Looking back, best move ever. Wish I had done it sooner. Had I not made a proactive move, I'm sure corporate would have given me a gentle nudge sooner or later. Anyway, your channel is unique and genuine among them all. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next!
Thank you I appreciate your comments. So far in my life, I have found no better time in the past than the present.
Good evening Ed, we, my wife and I, support you all the way. You have a great partner in Ayn. I believe things will work out for you. Ben
Thank you, Ben. I always appreciate your kind support! Hi to your wife as well!
Thanks for letting us know your situation; all the best to you going forward!
Thank you! We are ready to move forward!
@@MyClutteredGarage We love your videos, and we plan to watch one each day until we're caught up!
Oh my, Ed! What a shock to unexpectedly lose your job after many years of dedication to your firm/company. It would be different if there had been some advance notifications. I was fortunate to have been employed for 30 years at the same facility (International Harvester/Case/IH) The advantage I had was working under a UAW contact; management personnel didn't have the protection that I enjoyed. I really appreciate you sharing your stories with us, be it good or bad. I retired in 2002 but have been working my retirement job for right at 20 years this month. I work for a power equipment dealership as a pick-up/delivery driver and provide product support. I enjoy what I do; drive all around, meet nice people and get to play with all of the "toys" that we sell. I'm sure you'll do well whatever you choose to do moving forward. GC
Wow, Gary. Sounds like nothing can stop you from working! I appreciate your kind words and support!
Ed you are handling this pretty good . Good on you. I went through the same thing years ago. I found like you once you move up your head comes above the firing line. In my case it was a very large world company. I was called in to the head office and was told I was caught between a sandwich and my job had been eliminated. I did not take it was well as you did . I was younger than you at that time and worked pay to pay. It did make me stronger and I survived. I gave that company 150% . I learned from that and never gave more than 120% after that. I thought they would never fire me. It shows you can be replaced. I am sure you will work it out and you have my support on the u tube. We will see your progress.
I really appreciate your thoughtful remarks! As much as you tell yourself that no one is indispensable, you still can’t believe it when it happens. We are indeed in a good place with it, and feel confident that all will be well.
I appreciate you, Ed!!!!
I appreciate YOU!
Great job of keeping your chin up Ed. You are a worker and workers work through the bumps in the road. Something tells me you are gonna come out on top. Thanks for sharing and keeping it real.
Thank you for your encouraging words!
Sorry to hear of this news! You taught alot of people today an in the future how to be humble an gracefull in this moment! You are the person that inspired me to start up a youtube channel here in near future! whether that will be a good or bad is yet to be determined. 🤙🏻
Thank you and congratulations on starting a channel. I just don’t know until you try!
inspire to be one of the cool cats that do a live chat on Mondays. 😎
Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. And I really enjoy your channel keep up the good work.
Thank you! I appreciate your comments!
One thing i really like about you Ed is that you speak from the heart. We are right here behind you, so look only forward. You can do this.
Thank you so much. That means a lot to me.
we will continue to watch because you have helped us with our projects and my wife said I need a shirt too
See? You have a smart wife too! Haha, thank you!
Retirement for most is usually inevitable, did it myself Jan 1 2024 . Fortunate enough that my business was wanted by the younger generation and at 60 they wanted the old man gone so they could step up and now at 3 years later, I’m done. So far what a joy ! If financially Ok you will feel the same soon enough. Good luck and keep the content coming!
Congratulations on your retirement! We are excited for the future. Thank you!
Ed, I feel for you. Went through similar scenario quite a few years back and there is nothing corporate can say without insulting. However, there are always other opportunities that will make their way to you, but most importantly, you will never forget the people you met. Keep at it with your content and it will reach or surpass your expectations.
Thank you! I think you’re right!
So sorry to hear of anyone loosing their vocational occupation. However, you have a forward position attitude and that is substantial. I have been watching and keeping up with “My Cluttered Garage “ for several years and your videos and content are excellent. I have enjoyed your videos and will definitely continue. Best of luck and Thank You for sharing what you do in daily life. It certainly helps us all…
Thank you so much!
Exactly why I've spent 30yrs with a family owned company. About 350,000 subscribers is what you need for a decent income. My buddy has 300,000 subscribers and makes about $30k/yr.
Hey, don’t bring me down man, ha ha! Seriously, I appreciate your comments. We’re going to give it a try!
You'll do great!
I’m excited for you Ed! With the new homestead you’ll have so many opportunities for new videos.
Thank you so much! We are cautiously optimistic! 😄
I know the feeling for sure. Same thing happened to me about a year ago. Spent 10 years there and thought I would retire there. Now I spent the last year looking for a new career. Possibly found one, we shall see ….
Ugh! I’m sorry to hear that. Good luck!
You got this Ed! The content and editing is top notch and you have such a wonderful background to do it all in. You will thrive. This whole community has your back.
Thank you for your confidence and encouragement!
Enjoy your channel. I hanging in for the long haul.
Thank you!
Unfortunate news, Ed. As a fan of your work and the content you create, I am confident you will succeed in your new adventure! They always say, as one door closes another one opens. Looking forward to more content from around the property! Keep up the quality work. -Kyle
Thanks Kyle. The future is always uncertain so we are happy to live for the day!
I have learned in life, in my early 50s as well, everything happens for a reason. It may not be apparent today but I am sure you two will end up where you are supposed to be. Best of Luck!
I agree! Thank you!
Brother thank you very much for sharing this video. All you need in life is health and wisdom and you seem to have both. Great stuff, and you'll be just fine with lots more time for the property. ❤
Thank you!
Couple things. First your wife is right, you'll be fine and your good at making videos. I watch a lot how to videos and yours are among the best for sure. You have a plan, you stay on point ( mostly😁) and you offer great advice and insight. It's just a great channel. Glad to be here.
That really means a lot to me! Thank you! And yeah, sometimes maybe I wander or drift, ha ha.
Congrats on your retirement, Ed. I can appreciate your unexpected experience feels a little strange at this point. In 2015, I retired a couple of yrs earlier than expected from 40 yrs of running a practice after my junior associate was ready to take over. It took several months to get accustomed to it. But like you, I have some property (less acreage than you, but similar tasks to keep it maintained), and I found your channel, as well as others, to do more of these projects myself that I enjoy doing outdoors in a timeframe not limited to weekends. As well as spending more time with the grandkids, and family. It's hard to believe it's now 8 yrs; You'll find your days will fill up with activities you enjoy. I look forward to your content. You have a great start to this new chapter- Anne, your family, and good health. All the best.
I really appreciate your kind comments. We are encouraged that all will be well!
Really like your channel. Hopefully, you will be putting more out !!!!!!!
Thank you! That is certainly the plan!
Will support you as best we can! Big thumbs up and looking forward to your adventures and it definitely shows how happy you both are in this stage of your lives. Cheers to new beginnings
Thank you Ross! Your support means more than you know!
Thank you for sharing, Ed. Hoping that everything works out way beyond your best expectations.
Thanks, Larry. I appreciate your support!
Best of luck to you on your new way of life. I'm a little jealous, but I know you have some challenges ahead of you AND I know you are up to taking them on.
Thank you. I appreciate that. Yes I have had other coworkers tell me they kind of wish it would happen to them (tongue in cheek).
Sorry to hear this Ed. It happens way too often now a days.
I will keep you and Ayn in my prayers that it all works out. I'm confident that it will for you.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. Yes, gone are the days of long-term employment at one company!
Always enjoyed your videos, liked them, but not one to comment much, will try and change that, keep it up.
Thank you! I really appreciate it.
I always enjoyed watching your videos. You do a great job.👍
I appreciate that!
Best wishes as you go forward.
Thank you!
As they say, when one door gets closed another one opens! Sorry you didn't get to plan you job exit, but you may just end up better than ever, Ed! Cheers!
It’s always hard not to do things on your own terms but then again, sometimes it’s nice when the universe makes a decision for you! 😄❤️
Ed, the positive attitude you and your wife have is so important at this point. You are very good at what you do here on MCG, your well versed, content has grown tremendously since the new home purchase, subscribers are growing, and now you have more time to focus on what you really enjoy! May the Lord bless you and prosper you in your endeavor.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Thank you so much for your encouragement! 🙏❤️
You got this Ed you do a great job with UA-cam 😀For years I've been expecting changes at the company I work for, I cleaned out my office about 10 years ago I keep just a coffee cub these days. I'm 39 years there May 31st Is my target date of exit for SS.
Wow! You got this! Thank you.
You are wise to wait to collect your thoughts and take time to consider your options. I’m sorry this has happened but it may be just the beginning of something amazing. I have had three different career changes in 50 years and each taught me so much about myself and the people I love.
Thank you. You are right! This is not my first “bad“ experience, and I have learned and grown from everyone of them.
At the time of my commenting, about 2 hours after your post, I recognize some of my favorite "content creators" chiming in to offer moral support. I think their support of your channel speaks volumes for the quality of your content. Keep up the fine work.
Thank you. I appreciate it!
How's she goin'? Ed you have a great attitude towards all this and with an outlook like you and Ann have you will come out on top!! I will certainly be watching your channel and offering my support in that way!! Good luck and take 'er easy!!
Thank you Mike. I really appreciate it. I hope you and your wife are doing well!
Ed, you have stirred up deep emotions in me as I too have experienced much the same. What i can say is, what is was meant to be.
For us it has been four years now and life is great. We have made adjustments and don't need the money we though we could not life without. Follow your dream and continue the channel. I will be watching and sharing your channel. Thank you for sharing your life story .
Thank you, and I’m glad to hear that you are doing better today! Life is short and getting shorter every day, so I agree that we need to live our dreams!
Well Ed, I am glad that you're here as part of my Mannisto Cay adventure. In regards to the job I think they were thinking short term and not what you have and would have continued to provide them. The Farm and the Barn look awesome every time we visit. Cheers bud. Mark and Mari.
Thank you both! I really do appreciate your support and encouragement!
Good luck Ed! You'll be fine. Look forward to the upcoming content
Thank you!
Great video!
Thank you!
Hey Ed I have been retired for 2 years now can’t complain. Nothing like spending all my time at the homestead. Almost 5k subs on my channel. Still not monetized but getting closer. Have a great one and good luck on the new adventure.
Thanks my friend! Keep it up!
It is very sad to hear that you have lost your job, it must have been a huge shock but it is a story that is familiar over here too. Good people always rise to the top and I am sure you will succeed in making a living from social media and be happy in all that you do. I think making a living from UA-cam is something all us creators dream of but I think we are a few decades away from doing that 🙂We are here to support you in any way we can. We always give your videos a full watch, commment and like plus join in when we can
I really appreciate it Joseph and Iain. You have incredible potential and I look forward to seeing where you go!
My heart breaks for you and what you’re going through. Know that I will continue following and supporting you. As one door closes another will open, just give it time.
Thank you, David. I’m excited for the future. ❤️
Great attitude! They set you free to follow your true passion. You've got this!
Sometimes the universe makes decisions for us. 😄
Good luck on going full time UA-cam. I like your channel and look forward to all your future videos.
Thanks so much!
Keep up the great content! Love the channel. I, too, lost my job to “restructuring” after 10 years. You’re spot on about having a supportive wife. I wouldn’t have the career I’ve got today if it hadn’t been for her constant support and encouragement. You’ve got this! Best of luck with life’s next chapter!
I’m glad to hear that you are as lucky as I am! Thank you!
Things happen for a reason plus you have a supportive partner. Your situation is common place today. I watch many of my associates given absolutely no notice and walked out of the building, this made those remaining wonder when they would he tapped on the shoulder. See it as a blessing for better things to come.
Thank you. I agree that I am very fortunate. I have seen people devastated by similar situations. I count my blessings every day.
All the best to you Ed in the transition! So this means twice the videos from now on?? Have fun with where ever it goes! - J.Andre.
Thank you! Well, I don’t want people getting tired of me, ha ha.
I’ve been following your videos for over a year. You are so informative and have such a pleasant rapport! I’m glad to hear you’re free from your former job. You will do fine because its amazing how little you really need in life as long as you having things paid for. Life is good❤
Thank you so much! I appreciate your support and encouragement!
Your a good guy and love your channel 👍
I appreciate that!
My experience in life is good people always do BETTER in a situation like this. God Bless....Bob
Thanks Bob!
Sorry things didn’t play out in the way or timing of your choosing but I’d bet this absolutely works out for the best for you. I love your demeanor and wisdom and you have a whole lot more to offer this world to be bogged down giving so much time and energy to a corporation. I think both you and your viewers are going to be much better off. Cheering you on!
I appreciate your optimism and support! Thank you!
Keep pushing forward. You got this. You have been an inspiration to me to build my channel. I’ve learned a lot from you. God bless. 😇
Thank you! I really appreciate that! Keep it up too!
I’m sorry to hear about your job loss. You are spot-on regarding the corporations. My brother-in-law just lost his job in the same way. Loyalty isn’t there. I really appreciate your positive attitude about it! That’s encouraging as my wife and I face a tough time right now with respect to her health.
Thank you so much. I’m sorry to hear that your wife has some health issues. I hope you can both work through it. I appreciate your support.
Ed, so sorry for the job loss!! BUT, here's to you and Ann's future! I had a similar thing happen to me, we came out of it ok, had several jobs after that then was able to retire at 66. Will keep enjoying your channel. Keep looking up my friend!
Thank you Ken! I’m hearing lines of similar stories. We are excited and ready to move forward!
Hang in there you have a lot of support
Thank you. I appreciate it sincerely!
Always great content, Ed. All the best to you.
Thank you so much!
I appreciate your comments and like your videos! I was at a job for 25 years that disappeared, shocking yet looking back I have reinvented my self and in to another 20+ years working on my passion. You may well be fortunate as I was but for sure wasn’t too confident.
Although it’s difficult, this is not the first time I’ve had to reinvent myself. So I guess I have that going for me. 🤣
Thanks for the video, and all of them. I really appreciate you and your channel.
Thank you!
Good luck Ed, I know your channel will grow. You have a gift and I as many others will continue to support you.
I appreciate that. I’ll continue to TCB 😉
I m glad that I found your channel a few months ago. Thank you for your content. I think you will do good
Thank you! I’m really glad you’re here!
