I see the chubby round faced guy on many headstones up until around 1800 , then it seems to switch to the vase and/or weeping willow tree …. are these specific to the northeast? does anyone know? great stuff …. these cemeteries are a challenging piece to the puzzle 🧩
@@kurtis47 I agree Kurtis.. there's a couple around me I've been investigating and I've found curious findings. That dam with the boxed in brick arch I climbed into was about 25 feet from old cemetery in my city. They burried something then burried dead people so no one would EVER think of digging... IMHO

I haven't seen chubby face dude but the weeping willow and vase are repeated everywhere. I think of perhaps one artist who could do a few but not thousands across a whole region. Perhaps they were mass-produced with machine tech. They are covering something they don't want us to know about.
