- There’s something profoundly cathartic when there's teardrops in your eyes, especially when the rain is pouring down around me. It’s as if nature is joining in on your emotional release, making the moment even more satisfying. When you're facing tough times, those teardrops remind us that it’s okay to feel deeply and express our emotions.
Have you ever felt that sense of relief when you just let it out? 🌧️✨ Share your experiences in the comments!
Growing up, I was often reprimanded for showing my emotions, especially crying when I was upset. As a result, I learned to suppress my feelings, which only led to greater pain and eventual breakdowns. Over time, I've come to understand that expressing emotions, particularly through tears, is not only natural but also healthy.
In the first verse of "Tears," I reflect on the intense pressure I faced during my childhood, particularly in competitive sports like baseball. I vividly remember crying after striking out, which I thought would hinder my performance. However, I realized that letting go of the game's significance allowed me to play better. Interestingly, in Japan, it's common for grown men to openly cry after losing significant games-a testament to the emotional connection to sports and the importance of vulnerability.
The chorus serves as a reminder that tears can cleanse our emotional wounds. They allow us to reset and return to our emotional baseline, highlighting the idea that crying should be embraced rather than shunned.
In the second verse, I explore how this struggle with emotions extended into various aspects of my life, including school, relationships, and sports. With time, I recognized that crying was not a weakness but rather a means of healing. Yet, I still found myself fighting against the urge to cry.
The final verse marks a turning point in my journey. I finally accepted that tears are a natural response to life's challenges. This acceptance has transformed my life, encouraging me to inspire others, especially men, to embrace their emotions and be vulnerable.
"Tears" encapsulates the journey from suppression to acceptance, urging listeners to recognize the power of tears as a pathway to emotional freedom.
Lyrics-
Planned perfection
A heavy burden
I made a blunder
They'll be no pardon
At my breaking point
First drops will fall
No shoulder to cry on
I hit the wall
Dark and stormy forecast tonight
Teardrops cure all
Like melodies and time
Teardrops cure all
Like sunlight from the sky
Teardrops cure all
Like raindrops and memories
Teardrops cure all
Shed a tear for me
Miscalculation
My heart is shattered
A pool of sorrows
Does it matter?
Illumination
My mind is clear
I felt the magic
Like music for my tears
Dark and stormy forecast tonight
Teardrops cure all
Like melodies and time
Teardrops cure all
Like sunlight from the sky
Teardrops cure all
Like raindrops and memories
Teardrops cure all
Shed a tear for me
Like a melody in time
Teardrops cure all
Like sunlight through a stormy sky
Teardrops cure all
Like ripples in my memory
Teardrops cure all
Teardrops cure all
Mother nature takes her course
Open the floodgates
Disaster, shattered dreams
I woke up with these broken chains
Hurricane in my brain
Can't hold back this heavy pain
Tears will come, I won't explain
Nothing here can stop this train
I'm crying, not dying
My life is now an open book
I'm living, not lying
My spirit just cannot be shook
These teardrops, they cure all
They're falling like the son of man
These teardrops cure all
The time has come to make my stand
Teardrops cure all
Stormy skies have shattered (They've shattered)
Teardrops cure all
Stormy skies have shattered (They're passing)
Teardrops cure all
Stormy skies have shattered (Yeah it's clear now)
Teardrops cure all
Stormy skies have shattered (They've shattered)
Teardrops cure all

It’s an alright track. It’s very creative and I feel like I’m listening to four genres at the same time, which I really enjoy. The instrumental is alright, the melody isn’t too bad. I do like the skittering trap beat and some of the harmonies you manage to get at the chorus
But I feel like the track could use more energy and oomph, and your vocals really can use some practice… because they really get outshine by that female background singer. Also… forget the rap verse… it’s admirable but does not work at all.
Improvements can be made, a lot of it. But I’d be wrong to say this is a horrible song. It’s okay!
Edit: The lyrics are passable. They’re poetic but generic
@@vhaakaraynen6578 Appreciate the criticism. Lots to work and improve on. I like to merge different genres so some things work, others sometimes miss the mark. Finding my way
@ Yeah. You clearly are a creative and talented man. Keep on working hard and smart. Maybe find a vocal coach too, I think it could do wonders. I myself had to take lessons in some areas when making music, so no shame there
@vhaakaraynen6578 I completely agree and am actually actively looking into vocal coaches
@@tonyosomusic I can’t wait to hear your next songs!
@@vhaakaraynen6578 Appreciate it, love your advice
