Hi Guys, We are from the UK and have just started watching you. We are loving your adventures , it’s really helping us get through a dark, very cold winter and lockdown! It’s so lovely to see the sunshine!!!!
Hey Helen, that’s awesome to hear I’m so glad we’re able to have that effect on the other side of the world. Have been to the UK for many Christmases to see family as a kid (Sian) I love the cold weather and snow but I can understand how restrictive it must be especially with Covid around as well 😓 hang in there!!
Oh wow what a different season for you. Chris is super jealous, he loves snowboarding and got frost bite on his nose in Banff and we learnt all about shuffleboard! 👌🏻
100%! We have the best country in the world and we’re so lucky to be exploring it like we are. I’m so glad we can take so many other people on our journey with us from their homes 🥰 thanks for watching mate! 🥰
Been watching since the Ranger build cos I have one also. Been stuck in Melbourne lockdown but it’s been good to see some of the country from the couch.
That’s great to hear. Always interesting to hear how people first saw us. I’m glad we can get you out of that lounge room too, even if only on the TV! Must have been so hard down there during lockdown for so long 😣 thanks for watching mate 🤙🏻
Hey guys, started watching you about a week or so ago. Australia looks like it has so much to offer as far as the off-road touring is concerned. I have been following 4WD24/7 and your channel popped up which is great. It's nice to see the entire families getting out there instead of " just the boys " I am from South Africa and look forward to watching more of your content. Safe journeys....
Seems we have a few South African followers, that’s so cool! Fun fact, South African accents are my favourite 👌🏻 We’ve always been a 4x4 family just haven’t always recorded it all. Glad your enjoying the content, thanks for following! ☺️🤙🏻
When you flood a car again look underneath, in most there are rubber grommets you can pull out to let the worst of the water out Unfortunately I learnt the hard way 🤦♂️ At least up there it’s warm to dry everything out, here in NZ it takes forever in winter 🙁 If the tides out it a lot easer to walk around the beach to the tip 😉, less rocks for you to fall over on Looks like you had a great group to share your trip with Funny watching Jack helping you with the beach clean up in fast forward, unfortunately more washes up every day. Good on ya for doing your bit
I just subscribed to your channel because I love what you do. I am from Trinidad and Tobago. It's a twin island republic in the Caribbean, I just love your channed.
Another unreal video guys. Just think, when the kids are grown up and have left the nest, and you both retire, you can do this adventure all over again. Happy trails .
An English German, sounds interesting ☺️ that’s awesome, thanks so much for following and I hope you get to come and do the same one day, it really is the best experience ever, you won’t regret it! 🙌🏻🥰
Nice work guys. We'll be making our first trip to the tip this September (had put if off the last two years because of COVID). Great to see you out there with your kids! Can't wait. Good video, loved it. Thanks.
Hello guys we have arrived at the tip with you now :) A great trip, boy we would love to run that ferry a nice little earner!! Roko Island next we are on the beach ready!! Take care C&R UK.
New follower here u guys are awsome. Loving the vibe. We aussie family here from Brisbane, about to leave this week to do our first cape trip... your videos have been a huge help and joy to watch
Cape York was an epic trip; we did the tele water up to the windscreen and never got water in the cruiser if you ever go back up to the tip you should go and see the aboriginal paintings in a cave you can only get there at low tide you'll never get all the bull dust out of the car you clean it It brings back great memories
The boys did actually walk around to try and find those aboriginal paintings, us girls and the kids stayed behind and they did see them! It’s on one of our episodes actually?
@@BigOzExplorers Northern end of the beach you climbe over the rock it's a little way you can only get there at low tide as the water comes up to the entrance of the cave even Coen has some great aboriginal art on the escarpments just out of town are you guy's coming to the Sydney carvan show
It's so awesome that you cleaned a beach. There is so much trash in the oceans. In Hawaii there are islands that are wild life sanctuaries that have so much broken down plastics, that the north side beaches look like all plastics now. It was extremely bad after the Japanese tsunami. I live in Washington State, USA🇺🇸 and we live on an island in Puget Sound, the pollution affect out local Killer Whale population greatly. If you want to know, it's Whidbey Island. Beautiful temperate island that we have chosen to retire on.
Sounds like you live in a beautiful place, shame about the littering ☹️ hopefully they can stay on top of it enough to help the killer whales, they’re amazing animals! Thanks for getting in touch and sharing some of your story with us mate ☺️
Oh that’s awesome Katherine! So glad we have been able to help you out with UA-cam and clothing, win win right there! Thanks for supporting us so much 🥰🥰

@@BigOzExplorers Thanks, in about 47 minutes it will be 2001 here. To tell you the truth I've been to Oz. So I searched for vloggers on UA-cam, that's how I found your vids. Keep up the good work, cheers!

How’s that fine dust... no stopping that getting in. Air filter was a dusty mess, who doesn’t love a compressor, I use one to blow the dust out of our cars and they’re not even close the your Patrol. Keep up the fun and adventure, it’s always a great watch.
It gets every where hey, the compressor has to be the best thing we have bought in that car, there is so many good uses for pressurised air 🤩 thanks for watching Michael! 🥰🤙🏻

As always love the video mate!!! thanks for taking us along with ya. Yes it is sad how the beaches get so much rubbish on them. it is the same here in US on the west coast, not as bad on the south and east coast. I wish the Asian country's would get a grip on there off shore trash, that is were most of it comes from... yall be safe and keep up the good work!
It’s the same for us, I believe most of it comes from Indonesia, there needs to be better global education if we ever are going to fix it 🌎♻️ thanks for tuning in from the states, yew! 🤙🏻
Quick tip with wet carpet, get heaps of baking soda put all over carpet should draw up water and damp smell leave approx 24 hrs or more , then if u can strong vac. Prob those do it yourself car wash places.
It was in the previous episode, they got stuck on a water crossing on the Old Tele Track. Seems the seals aren’t as great as you’d think, none of us expected it to take water on so bad! 😣
Hey Bee, we love that we did it too, we love getting involved with that kind of stuff, if we all do a little bit, it helps heaps ♻️ 🗑 We’re heading over to NT next week and heading towards Darwin :)
I totally get that everyone is on a budget. But regarding the cost in these communities; remember without these remote communities reaching these destinations would be impossible. I live and work in some of the remotest communities in Australia and every dollar spent goes straight back into the communities.
Totally agree! We’ve now seen the whole top end of Australia and the Cape isn’t even that bad really. Transport cost alone to get supplies there would bump the prices up. We share the details mainly because some people have no idea and are not prepared for the spend which can leave them stranded. 😮
Yep crazy hey! There are a lot of dry and restricted alcohol communities up that way so the limits are tough! It made it difficult when your buying for a couple of weeks at a time and we ‘rationed’ out the alcohol each stop between the cars 😂
Oh mate, everything’s all over the shop! We’ve had quite a few issues with the car after having some major installs installed in an unprofessional manner, this also includes the wheel alignment they did 🙈 it’s all fixed now but took it another attempt for them to get it right!
Loving your vlog. Wonderful insights, and so informative. We are just waiting for our van to arrive mid 2021. Love the quality of your video work - Question which software did you end up using to do your editing?
Awesome vid guys. Question: isn't it a pain to put your spare tyre on the roof? Or do you deflate it when you put it up there. Doesn't it usually store under the rear of the vehicle?
Hey Luca, we did have it underneath to begin with but after having a lot of extra wiring fitted, it just doesn’t fit anymore! It was already a tight fit before the wiring was installed 😣 we have it inflated ready to go on the roof, it’s not too hard to get it up there for Chris, I personally couldn’t get one up there though (Sian) 😂
To be honest we didn’t really compare hey! Too busy having fun lol 🤩 we all were filling up around the same times though and have the same tank capacity so I feel it would have been much of a muchness ☺️
Enjoyed the episodes up till the point where you started leaving your mark, scratching in rocks and leaving stickers in places they shouldn't be. As I said enjoy the show but this will turn me off. Please stop that and will continue to watch.
Guys, amazing, you definitely put the Y62 to the test and proved that it stands to its Patrol legacy, No Fear!!! Saludos 🇻🇪🇦🇺
Thanks mate! It definitely is a weapon of a car, it did so well through the whole Cape trip!
Fantastic effort doing the pick up Folks...well done.

Thats not a bad idea 😆 hindsight is a beautiful thing lol

Hi guys, what month did you take off on ?
Hey mate, we left in late August and stayed through September 😁
Curious on the 62s economy vs the 200 ? Did you guys compare
To be honest we didn’t really compare hey! Too busy having fun lol 🤩 we all were filling up around the same times though and have the same tank capacity so I feel it would have been much of a muchness ☺️
$130 return is better than were charged in 2013. We towed a camper trailer and it was $146
Oh wow, well that’s an improvement then! It’s the only way across so they’ve got you if you want to do it hey.
What van are you towing?
A Trail 21’6 X-Plorer :)
19 hours to go ! I’m just saying 👍😂
You were a little excited hey 😉🥳

Not from overseas from sth east of Melbourne Victoria
Hope we helped you through the lockdown period. We will get there eventually. I love Melbourne city and am looking forward to Chris seeing it too! 🥰
Enjoyed the episodes up till the point where you started leaving your mark, scratching in rocks and leaving stickers in places they shouldn't be. As I said enjoy the show but this will turn me off. Please stop that and will continue to watch.
Hey mate, we had a few comments about this. As I said to others, note taken! 🤙🏻
There's a lot of WOMAN going on in this video...
What do you mean? Lol
