I'm 74 newly retired and I'm finally taking up painting. Something I've wanted to do for years and years. I painted my last picture 43 years ago while waiting for my youngest child to be born. I came across your video and you made it look so easy. I tried H2O painting in high school and did not like it. But you just showed me how to control the paints! Wonderful video! I will be watching more of your work.
Thank you for giving us a detailed dancer it’s beautiful and so pleased you speak slow and clear
would be grateful if you could show us a little bit more
on the paint side when your mixing so we know about how much you’re putting in the well of the pallet and the names of paints even though we can choice our own
please.😊keep up your great work and videos i appreciate how much work goes into making these before showing the public.
I just love your Ballet dancer. I watch it over and over to get the courage to try painting myself
Really love your dancer. Thank you for charing so pretty picture.
I am also 75 yrsold. Drawing and painting. This the best lesson I have come across. Absolutely lovely.
Julie, thank you so much for sharing this lesson! My friend asked me to paint a ballerina for her daughter who is a dancer! This method is just the perfect style! Love your accent and encouraging instruction!
Love this and the ‘get a cup of tea’ break moment 😊❤❤❤
I have so enjoyed your tutorial. Your method of verbalising steps is so clear. It has boosted my confidence to try this painting. Thank you!
Such a nice painting - the cling wrap captured the flow of the skirt beautifully! thanks for sharing

That is so lovely and simple. I live to paint with watercolors and I’m still learning ! Nice tips on wetting a bit away from where you want your next color to blend to.
Julie, you are such a soft spoken wonderful teacher. I have been trying ballet dancers for ages. Most are so technical. I use Acrylics, I'll try this in WC 1st which I have been playing with, then see how it goes w/wet on wet acrylics. Thank you for sharing

Hi Julie! I hand sketched a lovely ballerina, excitedly rushed to my dining table to begin the wet painting. All went well until my crazy mind added too much color everywhere! I lost her feet, shoes, arms...I just had a ball with the lovely alizarin crimson & fumb. When dry, half the paper was the cling film! LOL She's such a lovely painting, that I'm going to do her again, trying, very very hard, to hold back my instinct to add LOTS of color. I cannot thank you enough for such a lovely gift as this youtube ballerina. Thank you so very much. PS: I ALWAYS overwork my paintings (began painting wc in July). Any secrets to walking away from the table at the proper time? Thank you again! Wonderful gift! Frances
Put it under the tap, wash it off and have another go. It sounds drastic but it works! Good luck. Juliex
God bless you! I LOVE your work and will be signing up for monthly patron lessons! You're wonderful! Thank you so much. :)
And I ended up cropping it, and "Bell" looks wonderful now! You're so kind, Julie.

This is the first time I've watched your channel. I really enjoyed watching your tutorial. I've never seen the cling film (plastic wrap in USA) It makes such a beautiful texture for the skirts. Happy I found you!
Thank you, Ms Julie. Such a beautiful painting and fun technique with the cling wrap. I was looking for the download for the drawing and the cheat sheet, but it was not available with that link you left at the end of the video. I would be much obliged to have those materials! Thanks so much!
Chere Madame Julie,,,,,,
Thank you for teaching me..... I am new at this medium and I appreciate your time!
Peace & Love

Educational and enjoyable describe your lovely watercolor tutorials. I've used Clingwrap (plastic film) with acrylic paints on canvas as well. Depending on the plastic, it can leave a semi-gloss sheen which adds texture to the painting.
Beautiful! Thank you
Thank you so much! This is lovely
Dear Miss Julie... hello from northern California, I want to say thank you! I just found you via the SAA channel and I am an instant fan! Beautiful and very helpful painting. I just found you and I am looking forward to more of your lovely work. Thank you for sharing your expertise. Your filming is very good and I love the closeups because it really helps to convey your techniques. I find that if a person is right handed it helps to have the camera view coming in on the left side so that it has a unobstructed view. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful art! Jo
