Is there some cases where a therapist may tell you to leave your partner? Sure. I’m not saying it never happens. Therapists are human at the end of the day and if I see another human struggling solely due to their partner I may have enough after 100 sessions and tell them they’re destroying each other; however a therapist is much more likely to say that they don’t believe they have the tools to fix this marriage, than they are to say “that’s it. Break up right now.” Relationship therapists are there to give you tools and suggestions to improve a relationship, while also working through the underlying issues that caused problems in the first place. They’re not there to be your friend that says “girl dump him” because you guys fight a lot. At most they’ll use suggestive language indicating they don’t think anything is helping, and help you to your own conclusion that you should leave. Thats not malpractice, that’s smart and intentional. Theres a reason why there’s so many awful relationships where one partner should leave but never does; because simply telling them to leave does not work. You could be their mom, best friend, or a professional, you still need to lead the horse to water and explain why drinking will save their life before they’re able to drink themselves. @@tortellinifettuccine I just wrote a long response only for UA-cam to not send it for some reason 🙃 I’m gonna try to shorten it this time. Wrong. There are so many relationships where one partner needs to leave for their own mental or physical health, but when told by their closest friends and family to leave, they still stay. No, it’s not malpractice for a relationship therapist to not suggest breaking up, it’s intentional and smart. You can bring a horse to water, but it has to drink on its own. You can force its head under water and it will probably drink some of it, however you’re causing more damage and the horse learned nothing for next time. Thats how they “suggest breaking up” Obviously in cases of abuse and other extreme cases the therapist is much more likely to suggest a breakup themselves; because at that point it’s a major safety risk for one or both of the individuals, but past extreme cases, therapists are seldom supposed to suggest breaking up outright without using very leading sentences so you come to that conclusion yourself

While everyone was shitty here, I get why they sent home that Jon. He was unwilling to recognize the pain he is causing his partner and address it. The others all need to rebuild trust, but he demonstrated that he was unwilling to listen and work for his relationship. “We could have talked at home”? No, you couldn’t have. And despite all that, he didn’t care that his actions hurt his partner.
I am so glad my brain matured when I was 25, because I ended up getting divorced. My ex cheated on me with a 16 year old and really it just made it easier for me to not love him anymore. "living abortion" was a popular insult in the late 90s early 2000s at least in LA where I grew up. Another similar insult was, "did your mom have any kids that lived?" the point being that the guy being insulted was actually aborted by his mom.
I've heard "failed abortion" before, which makes a little more sense.
Yea not gonna lie I thought this season wasn't gonna surprise me. But that dude T-Shaw? I was utterly flabbergasted. Befuddled. ^Edit* Also the domino effect of cheating admissions? Wild.
is that therapist lady even a real therapist or she just some random british lady cuz honestly i can't tell lmao
Apparently she is, but she plays a fake therapist on TV.
Amanda's piercings are... interesting 12:16
Yes very 🫣
unironically yeah, i actually think its pretty cool how the bars are oriented to look like a semicircle. also skin piercings (ones on flat skin) are hard af to heal, literally every skin piercing ive tried to get rejected 😔
33:22
That historically guarantees they make it farther in the competition
I'm so happy for this upload!! I love this dude, was waiting for next part for so long. 2 years since I followed u Gunnar! ❤
T legitimately rolled a nat 1 on his persuasion check 🤣💀
“Not my type” guy is how I imagine rolling a nat 1 on a persuasion check would go in real life
Its funny to me that there is a house full of scumbags but the worst person in my opinion is still the fake therapist.😂
This dude straight up took the high school break up route of "nuh-uh I broke up with her first"
24:32 was basically ”gentlemen, to evil!”
The cry count being around 60 when we're only on the SECOND EPISODE is actually wild 😭
How did Dre not be the hero? I understand why he was on the chopping block, but he was actually the courageous one. He had an out. He didn't have to say anything, BUT Dre was the one who started that domino effect. I think Dre's confession was the most sincere out of everyone.
I like that she walked away without saying anything. Left his ass on the stage.
I knew it was coming but it still caught me off guard and made me literally laugh out loud when he said I don't even have an Asian fetish
This entire rant is one thing it mess and I fucking love it 😂
Gunnar needs to enroll in tool academy, really show em how to make good tv
That end song makes me smile every time. 😊
It never stops being funny
The way she looks around right after he says it to show she's just this confused as the rest of us
The push notification for your video popped up while I was trying to be super quiet - and was just quickly looking at something for work on my phone. I went to click “next” for one of the apps I use at work, and your push notification shoved itself in really quick before I realized…
Next thing I know, everyone at work is staring at me because my phone suddenly had your voice blaring out of it saying something like “THANK YOU FOR BEING A TOOL” (or whatever your opening line was)
😭 🥺
I went to the bathroom to hide - and I’m too scared to go back outside… 🥺
Pro tip : make sire media volume is always off at work. Ring tone hardly matters, but oh god if you accidentally click something or if an app decides for autoplay a short youre fucked
This is iconic I say you own it
I want to become as good at twisting situations as that therapist is. She has so much power!
Here we go, I can actually start my UA-cam watching for the day now that Gunnar has posted
Not the rebel flag skully. He can’t even show loyalty to his own country let alone his gf.
Bruuuuuhhhh!!! Stu has to be the greatest live implosion I’ve ever seen. Buddy couldn’t dig that hole fast enough! 🤣😂🤣😂
ive had the roughest god damn few months of my life & these videos are some of the only things keeping my serotonin flowing tbh
i think the therapist must have watched yes minister for the way she uses courageous
Best series on UA-cam rn
I love how scared Dre P looked when the dude got punched 😂😂
Gunnars actually my father. Thank you daddy😤
Gunnar the type of guy
Therapist is a baddie
Therapist looks like ghislaine maxwell
Somebody in the chat said “you can flirt without intention (to act on it)”, and isn’t that just leading somebody on? How are they supposed to know you aren’t intending to follow through and actually have a partner? Just don’t flirt with people if you’re in a monogamous relationship FFS
I love when the stream says hi to us at the start
CONFEDERATE FLAG? GET HIM OUT.
It's almost as if he's a hillbilly 😮
IKR
This was what, mid-2000s? It was generally understood to be a cultural thing, not a racist thing. Never said it was right but it's unsurprising.
nah breaux. get him IN
But he did a fun little cheer 🥺
Yay Gunnar! So excited to watch this. Love your commentary
*No one. Absolutely not a single soul*
Stew: It was because of her that I gained confidence…. The confidence to cheat on her 😌
“I actually have a lot of faith in my boyfriend now. I think he’s growing as a person.
…because he plugged some holes in a boat.”
it's great how the comments on his stream and in youtube here are always roasting him. He's a good sport
Love the Mclaren shirt!! also why were early 2000's shows hilarious and so dramatic lmfao
Think this was like 2009 if I'm not wrong
@@AdamOBrien29 okay? I still consider it early 2000's since theres like the same style & i'm more so meaning theres not shows like these like super dramatic
@@karisgaines These days people would think it's too exploitative, societal standards changing has made Reality TV go from exploiting the contestants for drama to exploiting the viewer's emotional connections to the contestants, that's why everyone's got some silly ass sob story in a modern Reality TV show
all day youtube has been recommending this video but from the last season. it was a sign
I JUST finished your reactions to the first season the timing is insane 🎉🎉
That show just feels like torture for the girls, like they are the one that cry as they found out how little their partner had no respect for them and than are forced to immediately just to forget about it and take part of a challenge where the win is just a date with the person that just admitted he cheated on u. Like the girls are the one who get in the show more fucked over than the guys, as the whole point is just getting girls to stay in abusiv/toxic relationships instead of dumping them
42:06 “Send him to jail!” ->Call up Chris Hanson! From one show to another, this toolbag could be a star 🌟
i flipping lov gunnar‼️‼️‼️
I'm gay for gunnar
@@djtoxicdhgSame
@@djtoxicdhg I'm not gay, but same. lol
Danggit man I would never choose to watch these kinds of shows but, dammit Gunnar makes it so much more funny. I need a rapid release of season 2 please 🤣 thanks Gunnar.
She tried to talk to you during the episode, and you refused to listen. The tv show is meant to show just how serious she is about it and that others think his behavior is not correct. And despite all that, he didn’t care that his actions hurt his partner.
“i’m so sorry baby”
no you’re not?! 😵💫
the way they partied after confessing just proves to me that none of these dudes are redeemable lol
11 tools = toolbox
5 tools = handyman belt shit
😂
You got me hooked with the first episode now I’m binge watching your entire playlist.
Those guys were really suffering
I feel so bad for them 😢
I am so glad my brain matured when I was 25, because I ended up getting divorced. My ex cheated on me with a 16 year old and really it just made it easier for me to not love him anymore. He cheated often and I would just let it go, but it really took a toll on myself. :< The 16 year old was crossing the line though. I could never stay with someone who does that.
My cheer "This guy's a fker. He cheats on everyone to so he can get luckier. What a fker." *throws pom pom at face* Then just awkwardly walk off and sit down. That's my vibe.
You deserve only the best
Good for you for breaking it off and not desperately trying to fix it on reality tv lol. I hope things are better for you without him
Did you sing it in A minorrrrrr?
