It's done! I only spent a few days on this, but it was still so fun to make! FAQ and full credits below.

FAQ
Q: Where can I download this?
A: It's an animation, not a game. It's not playable.
Q: What's with Sans speaking so fast?
A: I only noticed this after watching the video which took Swivel 8 hours to export. It's a problem with Swivel being frame-by-frame, timers, like the one used for Sans's monologue, get completely messed up. There's not much I can do about this short from animating it all manually. and no.
Q: What's with the ending?
A: I wanted to leave an open ending for an eventual part two. Also that sick drop just had to be used.
Q: What is this?
A: This is my interpretation of when Sans stops you in Snowdin in the Disbelief AU. This isn't official, nor am I claiming it to be. It's just a fan project.

My guess as to why Sans's attacks are easy is the fact that due to the sheer magnitude of the Determination in his body, combined with how fragile his body is, he has to focus nearly all his will into just keeping his body from falling apart, leaving little to no room for putting much thought into attacks.

I think the fight is too short and easy, but i understand that animation is hard and time consuming.
In reality, i think the actual fight wouldn't be this short and this easy, however I agree with the "story" of the fight. The determination would take longer to get to him, and his attacks should be much harder and longer.
In the end, i really like this animation, you did a great job. props to you, bro.
Perhaps the gasterblasters could wind up faster and sans should do alot more damage. (auctually he should basically ohko you because of his attack stat.

In part 2 have it to where he says "Heh, you're split now, that's my attack."
And the players SOUL is split in half, making you have to dodge 2X the bullet hell.
I just thought that would've been a interesting concept that I don't think anybody else has taken yet.
Another possible attack is to have sans disappear, and have his one kinetic eye shown, the eye moves around according to the hearts movement, crazy hell-ish attacks are supposed to be incorporated with this phase of the fight.
Probably make a discord too, for people to make more suggestions in.
Well, Hope you like the ideas I gave out. Good luck on part 2 of this project man, great attempt on a sans fight, better than the other 95% of undertale fan-made fights.

here's some light criticism:
the text is way too small. it's not a major thing, and maybe it's being me a little bit nitpicky. another thing is that some of the text is a little bit too fanon. (i.e "i'm sick of you killing everyone, i'm tired of seing papyrus' dust over and over again").
other than that, it's pretty good and the fake out attack at the start was solid. liked it, good job.

The thing is is that this is based off of what the fight would've been during Disbelief Papyrus, and the reason Sans stood in the way was that he already knew that papyrus was going to be killed again. Techically, its not fanon if its going off of the canon it needs to go off of.
Uh, no?? It's still pretty fanon, dude. I don't see a reason for him going into a fanon personality for simply standing in the way of the human, it could've been handled way better with the canon and fanon aspect.

Most people say this is amazing. Even Flame. I greatly disagree. This is as easy as Toriel's boss fight. Dead serious. It's easier than the first one. Nice custom model, though, I guess.

@@RadicalUnderstanding Undyne is another story, her determination came from the golden flower tea she likes to drink everyday, those flowers contains Chara/Asriel's dust/determination, flowey was born from them. Undyne was drinking determination involountarly. As for sans you may be right about his powers to manipulate the HUD and game mechanics, but then i say he do this thanks to determination, so why doesn't he melt like Undyne, maybe because he's a darkner from deltarune ... ??? Yeah... darkners grow tired when you fight them... and they are neither humans nor monsters... i dont know.

I like how there's artificial reflex in it. Like when the wave of orange bones comes through the player takes a moment to run through them. Very good.
Thanks! That's one of the few complaints I had about the original Disbelief animation, the "player" seemed to have reflexes not humanly possible at times. I'm glad I managed to capture that more.

Sans may be the weakest character but with DETERMINATION, he gets a lot more powerful
Elizabeth Regis monsters don't have the physical matter to use determination so their bodies start to break down
So no sans is not stronger and you could tell he was deteriorating as the fight went on.
No, Sans isn’t weaker. But since his main form of damage (Karmic Retribution) is taking you down at level 8, you’re not as messed up as the normal fight, meaning his poison damage isn't as good.

I like the detail of how Sans' attacks don't hurt you as bad because his KR isn't as powerful because your LV isn't as high in this fight as it is in Normal Undertale

I had wrote the battle against "Madness Sans" where his megalovania is slowed down by 50% as he falls deep into madness. His mind breaks after seeing us do Genocide Route so many times that uses Determination and gets help from Gaster to stabilize his body to stop and kill you.
Essentially saying, your animation was similar to my idea. Cool stuff! ;D

1:20 sans creates TRUE Determination, a thing that dissolves monsters if they got that. 1:30 Sans starts Dissolving due to him having True determination. 2:40: Sans Has so much TRUE DETERMINATION, that he refused to dissove and he combine them both.

I also like the idea of Sans using Determination to power himself up, and increase his defense to 9999. I agree that because of Sans' weak body, the determination would start to kill him faster than it does Undyne. So overall this is amazing, and I can't wait for part two.
This looks easier than the actual Sans fight in Undertale.
