Yea i am using the QX1002USB on my android just fine. Love the fact that its a audio interface and a mixer in 1 and that for dirty cheap.
Does yours have a compression knob as well? I'm actually quite amazed they were able to include that in such an affordable mixer.

THANK YOU! Finally got it to work.
In the past I had a couple tiny cheap Behringer UB series (UB802) mixers and they always had noise / grounding issues, sounded like sizzling bacon. I am now using a Soundcraft ui12, love it other than the network connection dropping out to see the web GUI. (Even updated the firmware). The only problem is that the 3 USB ports can only be used to play mp3s or update firmware, not actually being used as a interface. I did manage to use one of the USB ports to power the Arturia Beatstep, however thereby freeing up a mains.
Great except few jerks in the beginning. What's the software you are using on ipad?

I use an Alesis multimix 8 usb mixer. A Tapco mx100, which goes in to an Alesis i/o Dock.
So 1 input on the i/o Dock comes from tapco mixer so i have 6 inputs to ipad......🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵

What if you want all the audio from the mixer to go to the iPad (AUM), apply FX and just listen/output your processed signal with fx from the iPad. Do you need to connect a jack to the headphones of the iPad? Or can you somehow get the totally wet output from the usb/ipad from the mixer? Use case: I want to connect a guitar to the mixer, apply some shimmer effects and just output the processed sound from the iPad, from the mixer,without hearing the original guitar sound also summed to the mix

Isn't a separate USB hub and mixer more versatile and less confusing? I thought about getting something like the Q802, but a phrase involving eggs and a basket came to mind.

I've just bought a Xenyx 1002FX (Nearly new for £35 - still shiney in the box) and a Behringer UCA202 Interface for £29 on Amazon to give me more line inputs for my studio. I already have a Zoom R8 and the more I think about it the Zooms only USP now is as a 2 channel mobile recording device. Everything else is recorded at home in the studio mostly on Cubase, Ableton and Audacity (for major surgery on WAV files). I'm now struggling to justify why I should keep the Zoom as with 2 inputs it's very limited but has some very good soft channel strips. I'd get €175 for it over here and by chucking in a few guitar pedals I could fund an Arturia KeyLab without raiding the piggybank. I think the only thing I could miss would be putting the Zoom and the UAC 202 under an Asio4All driver but that would (alledgedly I admit) impact recording quality/latency. Its not exactly the worst problem in the world to have but I do covet the Keylab with its 5,000 presets....
Any thoughts.
PS I have bought lots of apps for my iPad on your say so. Theyre great. The one disappointment being Thumbjam as I didnt think the synth sounds were up to much - am I missing something here?

You should have bought the QX1002USB or Q1002USB and have both a mixer and audio interface in 1.
I've seen so many reviewers routing all kinds of weird wires to get this thing to work. Lol Honestly had they just read the manual they would've been able to figure it out. Kinda sad for the company that the top search results on UA-cam for this thing are people who don't know how to properly use it. I think a lot of times when people leave bad reviews on Amazon, in many cases their problems involve user error. If people would just take their time to figure stuff out they wouldn't be so miserable. Lol
Hi. i found over the internet many reviews saying that you cant monitor your input while listening to the laptop recording via usb. is this correct?
In my experience that is correct with the non-usb 802 also
eg: you cannot hear your voice through the headphones while multi track recording " not without recording the other tracks onto the current target track" I've tried many configurations, no luck
Is it possible to send an external source (e.g. guitar, vocal, synth) over USB into the iPad, through an AU3 like Blackhole, then back out to the *main* output of the mixer? I can only seem to do this into the headphone output of the mixer, no matter how I configure the two buttons on the mixer you mention at the start.

You can’t, you need the USB to make it an Audio Interface
lol, 'I see you...'. Good vid:) a friend of mine's trying to get his 802 to work with headphones and seperate mic with his computer.
I can understand how this takes instrument and vocal inputs and feeds them to a laptop for recording and monitoring, but does it also take the output of the laptop in via the USB as well, so if you had the Behringer linked to an amp and speakers it would output the laptop's sound as well as wgat's going in?

I have a Soundcraft compact 4,it has phono inputs as well as guitar line in and mic ins.
My iPad do not charge using an adapter like what you are using, it looses power even though it’s plugged in, the problem is the adapter like you are using.
Could this mixer be used with dj vinyl decks? If so, do you need to download software to record mixes or does this do it all for you?

This doesn't record. This is specifically for audio processing and routing. There are ones on amazon that do record and store music and can also send blue tooth signals as well as play music from flash drives.
i have the 802USB trying to connect to non-Apple is nightmare with ASIO drivers got mixer few years ago with AT2020 have never gotten to work any help would be great
perhaps you can help me out ,I have a Behringer x2222. the issue is the soft ware I'm using is reason8, the sounds come out but I have no input from x2222 going to the daw.

No, you can't record separate channels
It’s a stereo output to the USB so if you pan one channel left and the other channel right you can record to separate mono tracks in your DAW.

a tripod is a thing they make. Its like a microphone stand for video. It keeps me from getting dizzy

I wonder if it’s possible to plug it into one of the USB ports of my Novation Audiohub 2x4 which is connected to my iPad.
Vural Pamir - it looks like that may be possible. The Audio Hub has usb inputs as well as line inputs. However I suspect you will need a DAW with good input output channel management. My advice is check with Novation. Apple would probably say no in their normal way of reinforcing their arrogance.
I correctly understood that you can receive an audio signal via USB from an iPad and give it to another mixer or, return to the input, back to the iPad for recording in Cubasis?

Hi Nelson, yes, it is the Apple USB 3 CCK, it lets you charge your iPad while plugging in your keyboards etc, it’s brilliant, if you buy one make sure you get the office Apple version
