Too many people are willing to do the wrong thing to keep their jobs, it's time people stopped being cowards and did what's right.

God I despise Labour. They are just as bad as Tories in my eyes now.
Driscoll needs to win to at least give Starmer pause to think that he has alienated a huge voting base.
I’d vote for Jamie.
Last time I did not vote for him as he had the most sloganeering meaningless manifesto I had (and have even up to now) seen in my life. And he delivered according to the manifesto, i.e. slogans. This time I've already sent in my postal vote for him because 1) only he and the Labour candidate have any chances and the Labour candidate, amazingly, has an even worse record as PCC than Driscoll as mayor, 2) interestingly he has this time the best manifesto and 3) as a matter of course I felt obliged to vote against Labour purges if there is any chance to do so. If he wins, Starmer has some egg on his face. If Labour wins, we have a non-white male mayor better connected to the central govt so there may be better crumbs coming our way. Nothing to lose.
It's videos like this which expose the underhand tactics of the elite class. Keep up the good work.
Similar to Dennis Canavan in Scotland in 1999, despite him being a Scottish Labour MP for 25 years at Westminster, Labour refused to adopt him as their candidate for the Falkirk constituency for the then new Scottish Parliament.
Dennis stood as an Independent Labour candidate and got the biggest majority in Scotland. Says it all really, Dennis was a terrific constituency MP, which is why he was elected. The UK could do with a lot more MPs of that calibre nowadays, instead of the self-serving cowboys that seem to dominate the headlines these days!
Party politics is finished, all independed people with honesty and dignity need to do is stand up to be voted in and end two party politics forever!
I hope he wins, he’s a great mayor and the fallout on Friday will be phenomenal.

Mr. Driscoll's communication style and general presence seem more convincing than his competitor's.
It's not Labour nor Cons that is the real problem, it's the political system. Bought and controlled by lobbyists and powerful business stakeholders.
I realise that I am being a bit negative here but I think not only would it be brilliant if Jamie wins but, bearing in mind the way that they have treated him, it would be brilliant if Labour lost.

It would be nice to have a JD to vote for. I only have PCC here and they're all crap or so poor at communicating, they seem crap.
Does "I'm for good things, against bad things, I know what's broken and will fix it" really work on people, cos that's all the folks in my area have to say for themselves without actually saying what's broken, what's good, what's bad etc.

Lifelong Labour voter but, I've voted for Jamie, disgusting actions from the Labour party. Kim McGuiness did sod all as Police and Crime Commissioner, don't really expect her to do anything as North Of Tyne Mayor, at least Jamie has a proven record on what he's achieved. Go Jamie !
I hope to God Driscoll wins. It will send a message to voters, prior to the GE, that a vote for an independant isn't a wasted vote.
Driscoll, Galloway and the like are all that stands between us and a political hegemony. Realistically we've a one Party system. Starmer or Sunak, the differance is narrowing by the day.
I've seen Driscoll speaking. He's inspiring. Come on, North East! This guy has a brilliant record at North of Tyne. The only record Starmer's Labour has is for u-turning and cosying up to the rich and powerful.

My choices in Manchester were Tory or Labour only. I had no choice but to vote labour and it made me feel sick.
There’s a website for all locations on how to vote tactically. Unfortunately, in Bristol’s council and police commissioner’s elections, there were no Workers Party candidates. My votes go for an independent, the Greens and if no choice, for Labour. The Greens seem to have a lot of support here while in neighbouring counties the LibDems are often the only alternative to the Tories..
We need disrupters, the uniparty system we now have will not look after us.

As far as I'm aware Andy Street has distanced himself from the Conservative party and is virtually standing as an independent. Hence whatever the outcome of his effort, it cannot be transposed to the general Conservative UK position.

Maybe because she wants to finance put lights in a park in Gateshead under the premise of safety of women but unfortunately this council park is chained closed every night at 5pm and isn't a short cut to nowhere. So at most it would be lit for around 30 minutes everyday in the winter.
