Great to see and hear some of favorite guys... Hadley Hockensmith, Abe Laborial, Phil Driscoll, Bill Maxwell.... Thanks for all,the years of inspiration guys!
Very well said, Duff Rowden!!!! I alomst started crying when I became aware that the vocalist/trumpeter is Phil Driscoll. I been wondering where he'd "disappeared" to.
Wow! Music at its best. I’m not a blues lover. However I think I might be now. That was over the top. All the accents and runs can’t be beat. Thank you for making my tough day better. Keep jamming it up please.
I'm laughing (kindly) at the skepticism, expressed by some, of this work's originality. Fellas, when you have been playing as long as these guys - improv is like breathing! Talent abounds!! It's just a part of who you are - or have become. Don't doubt! Keep playing. Keep practicing! You'll get there! Meanwhile - enjoy the fruit of their years of labor! Blessings on ya'.
@Chanak GautamMan you wasted a lot of breath..There is nothing about this number..the feel, the color, the licks, the intent, the execution that hasn't been done exactly he same way a million times. No originality left. The organ player looks like he's afraid of the thing. The guitar player should open his eyes and dig his ugly shirt
I love it! It's really cool to see some of the old Koinoia guys still hanging around together having a good time while making beautiful music. Pretty special look; thank you so much for posting. Very cool indeed.
had one of the best evenings with my husband of twenty years, right here in South India, listening to this incredible music. What a soul, what a rhythm and what a passion...reminds me of the olden days,,, decades ago when we youngsters forgot ourselves in blues, jazz and The Doors: Riders on the storm.....Thanks from the bottom of our souls... thanks to the incredible musicians...
Thanks for making life so beautiful with your music. You took us on an intergalactic journey of emotions that we forgot existed in us. True respect and truly indebted and full of gratitude
Thanks for the excellent creative journey, taking those blues for a walk to galactic destinations, previously unknown to this here traveler. Grateful appreciation!!!!!!
Just found out about Abe. What a performance. I listen and have played all types of music but blues is and will always be my first love. These guys.can play and that man Abe, on point!
Only thing missing is me havin fun playin along side these guys. Just playin music and having a good time. NXT best thing sittin at home playin with them. Great stuff.
Some guys mentioned about a lady there, I didn't have a freaking glance, notice, recognize, mind distracting a bit but only sank in players' music! They must be mileniums.
+tune4jesus So your sweet thing left you. your dog died and they repoed your car....well come on in here and have a shot of Jack Daniels and tell us all about it brother. We may not get your stuff back but baby we'll kill the pain a little bit and it's on the house
Y'know the best part is Abraham's bass solo part I was almost lost just in simple counting 1 2 3 4 of 12 bars blues scales and in the drum parts, he showed off his tricky way of manipulated upside down backward upward mixed in still keeping the groove,. Main beat tempo, oh man wow ooh yeah, btw did they turn the tik Tok tik Tok to keep the tempo in norms! Seems like they lost, Ha' k'phew’"?!
Oh yeah…. I’m loving that music!! Reminds me of the good old days at the 🎶 Apollo Theater in New York & Lenox Lounge, Smalls Paradise & Baby Grand Bar when music was actually played flawlessly on musical instruments! 🎸 🥁 🎹
music like this is rare, but somehow as we search for it, this treasure finds us!00))
This is one of the reasons why I keep on playing the blues....It makes me feel younger whenever I pick up my guitar and play!!!
ABSOLUTELY
BLESS
maaan, i never thought i would see this all my favorites guys together, but i want to see them in heaven too, AMEN.
Yes! I know Abraham, Bill, and Hadley because they used to play for Keith Green in the early 1980s. They are still amazing after all these years.
@@FRN2013 I always loved Keith Green's music. I think this is the first time that I have heard his name mentioned in a comment section.
Damn, Bilbo has an amazing voice
OMG! You're funny
Hit the road, Frodo!
Love this! And miss jamming with my old buddies. RIP Jeremy Ryan.
I've been listening to this weekly for the past 10 years, it doesn't get old. The blues is really powerful here
When you're just that good, you just play what you play and it's incredible. Everytime.

Or, you've been doing so long that there is nothing left! Take note: There is no originality left in blues.

when the trumpet comes out and the bassist begins to smile so widely... i couldnt help but get goosebumps...
The bass player is the great Abraham Laborial

Before Koinonia, I remember three of them playing with Keith Green in the early 1980s.
Still a w e s o m e .
Bill Maxwell was also the drummer for Andre Crouch and The Disciples.
