Dr Azaz, your videos have saved my life. I am not even exaggerating. Your videos should be watched by every medical student. You have made studying embryology so exciting and easy. I am very grateful to you, Sir.
The best thing of these lectures is that after watching these videos , concepts goes into the permanent storage of my memory ❤️❤️❤️and you will not open the fusy books, the over all content is here in lectures ☺️
I don't know why did I find this channel at the end of my 1st year, but before my exams,,,,, I will complete every topic of embryology from here,,,, INSHALLAH
I am just thinking how much a person has to truly understand the concepts to teach students like this!! Truly praiseworthy!!!!! If this wasn't for this channel, I don't think I could ever visualize and learn with clear concepts. Whoever you are , may god bless you for the effort you have made in making us understand. Thank you so much
I spent 3 days for understanding the topic ,by miscellaneous lec but there was no sequence ,I have no words to thanks ,your lec are beyond the appreciation ❤❤❤
Actually if we see so the bad thing in embryo is that when you see the embryo from one section you will understand it but when u try to see from another section u will get confused but with medicovisual there is no such confusion and i strongly recommend these videos for basic medical sciences students it's amazing
Thank you for this fantastic video, i’ve been trying to get the proper 3d orientation of this whole folding business for months now, i am so glad to have finally found this. THANK YOU!
At 5:08 and for the rest of the lesson you probably meant primitive endocardial tube (and not endodermal). Really loving this lectures! Thanks for your work.
Finished watching whole lecture and going to start the embryo playlist you have mentioned below. Just wanted to say big thank. Really , thank you so much sir !!
First I was taking lectures just to prepare for my upcoming test this Tuesday but now I'm enjoying so much your lectures. You make embryology my favorite 😭❤️. That 2d and 3d explanation really really made concepts crystal clear and that Balloon and fist example 👏 I can't Thank You much enough 💯 Keep it up Man!!!

Sir thank you for uploading these lectures as embryology has least weightage in final professional exams in India people here keep ignoring these beautiful concepts. THANKS SIR for taking my love for embryo to another level

The text books say that all the cell types of the heart - cells that form the myocardium, endocardium, epicardium, purkinje fibres are formed from the primary and secondary heart fields but your animation seems to suggest that the myocardium is formed from a separate population of cells distinct from the two heart fields. Are those cells truly distinct from the cells of the heart fields?
Great question. Thanks a lot for asking. Actually, there is some discrepancy among different textbooks of Embryology. Some textbooks like Langman (14th edition - p.182) describe, albeit vaguely, all the layers of heart as the part of the primitive heart tube. While on the other hand most textbooks of embryology like Clinical Embryology by Robert (p.243), Larsen's Human Embryology (5th Edition - p273) and The Developing Human by Keith Moore (10th edition - p.289) and many others, explicitly state that the initially formed primitive heart tube is surrounded, later, by the splanchnic mesoderm (some books like BRS Embryology (6th edition p.37) writes “Mesoderm surrounding the primitive heart tube”, which implies the splanchnic mesoderm) that forms the forms the myocardium (and epicardium). Most of the modern research articles also concur with this view. Keeping that in mind, I preferred to go with the later (and more widely accepted view) that describes the myocardium as a separate entity. I typically refrain from going into the depth of such discrepancies in my visual lecture because the lecture would become too lengthy, boring, and more of a debate-style rather than teaching-style lecture. Also please note that all the layers of the heart, including endocardium, myocardium and epicardium, arise from the single germ layer i.e. Mesoderm (specifically splanchnic mesoderm). This concept has been beautifully reinforced by MCQ number 7 in BRS (6th edition p.50). Waiting for your reply. Regards Dr. Aizaz
Thank you for the video. I have a question, in case of blood island formation, is it from mesoderm or from the Primitive heart field cells in splanchnic mesoderm. What exactly the primitive heart field cells differentiate into?

Sir, what causes the formation of cardiogenic plate ? Blood islands are formed from this plate I know that mesoderm aggregate in such fashion as you have explained in other video + further vessels come out by VEG F stimulus But cardiogenic plate is firstly formed then all these things come into existence right so what causes cardiogenic plate to be formed ? Or simply it is formed by some arrangements of splanco pleuric mesoderm but I believe still there must be some order for that for example the connection of embryo and placental / 1st ever maternal connection as for that many lucunae are formed in syncytiotrophoblast which then joined together to form one structure and invade abd digest away sinusoidal capillaries then which causes the blood flow to embryo and their 1st connection. ( it was just as example ) hoping to get your reply back soon 😊
I have a question ... Primitive heart tube is formed by blood islands but how secondary heart tube is made ? You have explained it where it lies but what causes its formation ? And sir is secondary heart field is also in tube structure as primitive one ? Or is it just plain layer , no hollow in it?
Hello, Sir on 5:30 the formation of blood islands is same as you have explained in other video of vasculogenesis right ? And so cardiacgenic plate is first abd foremost structure which actually develop and is reason of all other blood vessels in embryo right ? And so splanco mesoderm is only place for blood vessel origin ? No other area or layer is involved in blood vessel or heart development right ?
