This restoration came out beautifully. Mom and I have used that homemade copper cleaner for decades. It's so much better than anything you can buy. These old pencil sharpeners are still the best. I absolutely refuse to use modern ones!
I love all of your videos. Very nice aesthetics! Everything is so clean, no narration, and I love how you show different methods of doing things. Very satisfying to watch. I'm looking forward to seeing more. Keep up the wonderful work! 😊
Wonderful and beautiful video. It is true that you are a beginner in the channel, but the way you filmed and worked was perfect. This helps bring more subscribers. Good luck. 😊😊😊❤❤
@@MDRestoration - Thanks for your answer, but sorry, I was just being a bit of a smartass. The little finger tip size made me envision going to the store and asking tiny little bits like that. Like they would have a cute little display case of them, in various grits, just like full sheet displays. Poor joke delivery on my part. Sorry.
Interesting but the printed instructions on the video are incorrect for the Hydrogen Peroxide and the flour, salt & vinegar for cleaning, calling both of them soda
Our teachers had one of these that clamped to their desks in primary school (I'm in the UK). Brings back some good memories and some.....weird ones! XD I remember we had this one kid in our class, he looked like an angel, blonde hair, doe eyes, cute smile..... but he was a demon. Total psycho. Case in point, he sharpened his pencil to a real point in our English class, went and sat down..............then stabbed it into the hand of the kid sitting next to him! He just laughed as the boy screamed. No reason for it, just did it. Often wonder what happened to him as I got older - did he become the serial killer he was shaping up to be? LOL!
All that work and then assembles it dry? Not even a spot of 3 in 1 oil on the springs. Also NEVER use WD40 in the way you did. WD stands for water dispersant. It's not a protective coating. It will, and does attract dust like a magnet. Again use 3 in 1 or GT85 but never WD40.
The extra spray paint kills all sense of authenticity. I do Not Support Ruining things just to Pretend we are saving them that much 'harder'. Saving things worth rescuing is the Whole Point!
Awesome. Brings back memories. The bench at the front of every classroom had one.

Great job. What happened to the pencil sharpener you restored?
I'm so glad you liked the video. The pencil sharpener was worn out
@@MDRestoration Okay.
Great video my friend with fantastic detail. This style pencil sharpener was the standard in most schools and homes in Iran. Keep up the great work.
It,s the acidity that does the trick, lemon Juice would work just as good. And you can drink the Coke!😋
Thank you very much for your comment

Rule No. 1 for restoration videos: Do everything slow and ceremonious. Rule No. 2: Wear gloves, even when you loosen the tiniest screw ...

I didn’t know you could buy sandpaper in such small sheets.
The original sandpaper is bigger and I have cut the sandpaper into small pieces

Coca-cola method is new for me. For anybody competent and admin, is it real or a marketing scam?
I used Coca-Cola to remove the rust

coca-cola isn't a rust remover, there are way better methods to remove rust.
I used this method to make the video more attractive
It's more fun though, but I wouldn't wouldn't drink it afterwards!
Evaporust
What's even weirder is he uses a Coke can with a pull tab. I guess other countries still use them for soda.
But it’s the tastiest…
The extra spray paint kills all sense of authenticity.
