Awesome. Brings back memories. The bench at the front of every classroom had one.

This restoration came out beautifully. Mom and I have used that homemade copper cleaner for decades. It's so much better than anything you can buy. These old pencil sharpeners are still the best. I absolutely refuse to use modern ones!

This pencil sharpener, Faber-Castell colored pencils and Razi super glue reminded me of my childhood. 😊🫠 Who remembers this? 😃

@@MDRestoration - Thanks for your answer, but sorry, I was just being a bit of a smartass. The little finger tip size made me envision going to the store and asking tiny little bits like that. Like they would have a cute little display case of them, in various grits, just like full sheet displays.
Poor joke delivery on my part. Sorry.

All that work and then assembles it dry? Not even a spot of 3 in 1 oil on the springs.
Also NEVER use WD40 in the way you did. WD stands for water dispersant. It's not a protective coating. It will, and does attract dust like a magnet.
Again use 3 in 1 or GT85 but never WD40.

Our teachers had one of these that clamped to their desks in primary school (I'm in the UK). Brings back some good memories and some.....weird ones! XD
I remember we had this one kid in our class, he looked like an angel, blonde hair, doe eyes, cute smile..... but he was a demon. Total psycho. Case in point, he sharpened his pencil to a real point in our English class, went and sat down..............then stabbed it into the hand of the kid sitting next to him! He just laughed as the boy screamed. No reason for it, just did it. Often wonder what happened to him as I got older - did he become the serial killer he was shaping up to be? LOL!
