I love how there's a faint quick sound of someone saying "hurry" in the Ross commercial at the 6:47 mark. Other than that, another great commercial block from KCOP.
When did jingles start to die out? Somewhere around this time, perhaps. The TWA has a seventies-style chorus with an eighties drum machine. I love the seventies ads best, but the "futuristic" style of mid-80s "high tech" ads is really cool.
Same thought owner of this awesome channel😅😅😅 As soon as I saw Nissan King Cab, my mind read it as "Nissan King Crab" 😅😅😅😅 but then again, in my Asian country there's an instant noodles brand called NISSIN, which sells instant noodles in pouch and in cups (just pour water, wait and enjoy)
That Pete Ellis Dodge jingle was very similar to a Westside Chevrolet advertisement in Houston. even had the kids singing and bouncing dot to the lyrics.
It's not "very similar", it's the same jingle. ua-cam.com/video/dlrA8kyMBZg/v-deo.html I'm sure that Pete Ellis Dodge used it first but perhaps this other dealership had permission to use it?
Return To Eden-got to love that heroic music playing when she says that she needs a agent Kentucky Fried Chicken-Kentucky Nuggets > Mcdonalds Chicken Mcnuggets Jeopardy-very easy answers Taco Bell-back when real ground beef was used Nissan King Cab-a better idea wouldve been to park near the lake
I wish I understood that Federated Superstore commercial, but that would require amounts of illegal substances that would kill Stephen King and Keith Richards…
9:32 Of the movies featured in "Tuff Stuff Week," Red Sun is perhaps the most underseen of the bunch. A prime example of the "East-Meets-Western" genre, Charles Bronson partners with the great Toshiro Mifune to recover a Japanese artifact stolen by Alain Delon and his gang!
It's part of this: ua-cam.com/video/ScoW8He5RjI/v-deo.html It's stock music used in a lot of TV promos back then. I knew it from being used in a trailer for the "Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" ua-cam.com/video/xK55pX1c3fQ/v-deo.html
The commercials back then seems to be happier.
I love the 80s
7. TWA- For a commercial about an airline company, it sure has a nice jingle with an epic feel to it.

Man I loved Benny Hill! lol
6:00 Pete Ellis Dodge was also a popular jingle in the SF Bay Area as well. He had a dealership on El Camino Real in Sunnyvale near San Jose.
I don't remember the dealership but the same jingle was used in commercials from the Pittsburgh area for a long time.
1:13 - Know your nuggets? That has to have a spot in the failed catchphrase hall of fame.
Royal palm ranch is still around surprisingly.
This takes me back to being 8 years old!
1:18 best nuggets I've ever had. New ones are good.
That TWA ad - epic! Except flying isn't like THAT anymore.
I do like the jingle for Pete Ellis Dodge, followed by another LA staple, Federated!
1:42 finally proved to my wife what the actual Benny Hill show theme sounds like, and that it's not Yakety Sax lol.
They played Yakety Sax at the end of each show, not the beginning.
@@Mr.White10-65 that what I kept telling her, and she always said “prove it” , and I finally did.
@@Federal3t22 I don't think they show it on TV at all or I'd say show her an actual episode.

@@80sCommercialVault I thought I posted that same video under my comment
1:36 Seeing a Coca-Cola cup in a KFC ad just blows my mind now.
Return To Eden-got to love that heroic music playing when she says that she needs a agent

Return to Eden is the kind of batcrap insane TV movie the 80s specialized in.
And it was glorious.
5:25 "It says you're going to get fired and replaced by Markie Post."
Seeing that Taco Bell commerical makes me hate Shrinkflation. I wouldn't have an issue with the prices if they keep the portion sizes the same.
I wish I understood that Federated Superstore commercial, but that would require amounts of illegal substances that would kill Stephen King and Keith Richards…
Trying to out-crazy "Crazy Eddie" leads down a dark path some might consider, unnatural
I hope Alex is hosting game shows in Heaven both classic game shows and of course Jeopardy
Hopefully Alex, Sean Connery and Burt Reynolds are playing Celebrity Jeopardy for eternity.

This was a couple of months after Peckinpah died....
What does this have to do with his comment? Red Sun was directed by Terence Young.
Is it just me or does the music to that "Return to Eden" sound awfully familiar?
