Buenos Aires is very safe but in these types of transactions you always have to be careful. Sometimes it is better to lose a little money but be 100% safe. Here we call the guys that change money in the streets "arbolitos", you can lookup information on the internet on how to detect when they are fake or real sellers.

As mention above. One trick to stay longer is to take a round trip to Uruguay for the day. There are a couple of ferri services. It won’t take over half day but you can stay the full day and visit Montevideo

Nice to see you visited Villa Crespo which is more of a residential area, same can be said for Caballito, Villa del Parque, Agronomia, Villa Devoto, etc. it's basically away from the main touristic spots but not that far away to the point of becoming restrictive. I mean, nothing you can't solve in 20 minutes in an Uber, and you have a few nice spots that you can enjoy without a ton of people walking around.
Oh, but you went to Newbery... thought you went to Ezeiza. Ezeiza has way many more money exchanges before you come out of the airport. But super happy that you enjoyed BA, one of the best cities around.

I'm Argentinian and love my country. I've had the luck of visiting most of the provinces. I recommend you visit Neuquén (Caviahue, Villa Pehuenia), and the sierras of Córdoba are a must. Santiago del Estero has a great folklore (Chacarera, Zamba) culture, which you can also experience in Córdoba, at "Los Infernales de Güemes" in Güemes. Ushuaia is a beautiful city as well. The only place I do not recommend is my home province, La Pampa; there's actually nothing there lol. Mendonza is also great, best wine I have ever had; San Rafael is great.

Since our culture comes primary from the Italian culture, mozzarella is god, pizza and beer is it's princess.. :) beans and rice.. are not traditional :)
Well, you missed the part about the beans. We have the white ones called "porotos" or "alubias." They are typically eaten during the winter season, most often in dishes like "guisos" or "locro."
Buenos Aires is just the beginning while being an interesting place. Argentina has a lot of beautiful places (and food) to know: -Bariloche -El Calafate -Ushuaia -Puerto Pirámides -Iguazú Waterfalls. and much more. -

I'm Argentinian and love my country. I've had the luck of visiting most of the provinces. I recommend you visit Neuquén (Caviahue, Villa Pehuenia), and the sierras of Córdoba are a must. Santiago del Estero has a great folklore (Chacarera, Zamba) culture, which you can also experience in Córdoba, at "Los Infernales de Güemes" in Güemes. Ushuaia is a beautiful city as well. The only place I do not recommend is my home province, La Pampa; there's actually nothing there lol. Mendonza is also great, best wine I have ever had; San Rafael is great.

Another good thing is that you came just when the country began to recover very little by little economically/legally/and educationally speaking.. as a third world country we can improve in other aspects. Since our culture comes primary from the Italian culture, mozzarella is god, pizza and beer is it's princess.. :) beans and rice.. are not traditional :)

Well, you missed the part about the beans. We have the white ones called "porotos" or "alubias." They are typically eaten during the winter season, most often in dishes like "guisos" or "locro."
