Is it wrong to charge companies for reviews and accept loaned watches, not make the reviews and stop returning their emails when they inquire? Then threaten them with a negative review because they had the audacity to ask for their watches back?
They’ve been sent the watches back- they’re trying to slander my name because I had to delay their review past the holiday shopping season because I had Covid. 🤡
Yep, you got it right. We had to set Jody at JOMW right too. This blows the Seiko away. Got the green one and put a black five ring Nato with bright hardware on it. The knees, of the bees.
I really like the little bit of color they've added to the watches as well with the colored hands. I really adds something to the visual appeal for me.
Got a bambino mirror polish indicies 3 hander, wear it all the time during cycling competitions and manual labour job, all because t3 exposed orient to me and fell in love with them :) thanks bro for talking about this brand!
Watch reviews are also a form of entertainment. There is a guy in the UK called the Mad Watch Collector who also does excellent reviews. These guys including the Time Teller know their stuff.
That cream dial is so nice looking. I have no use for this watch, and already have three Orients, but that cream dial…*lol* Still waiting for Orient to make a four hand GMT!!!
Thank you for your reviews! I take your reviews into consideration purchasing my watches. I just received my Orient Kamasu and I love it!! I’ll definitely be looking at this Orient Defender! Once again, thank you!! 😁👍
I can see that was a real challenge for you to admit that... Respect... Also, I agree, drilled lugs and a framed date windows would make this an 8 instead of a strong 7 in my opinion and, I'm always right ;^) Have a great weekend. -David
I'm glad that I didn't listen to you the first time about the Defender 1 and went ahead and got the Defender 2. I'm really glad I didn't listen to you about how right I was. 😄
This actually looks really nice. Good job on the macro shots, sir. Why no lume shots though? I'm not a watch size zealot, but I do feel like the entire watch excepting maybe the hands and date window could be scaled down a bit. The bezel-less design with a larger size equates to a very large visual presence. But it still looks nice - classy even.
Yeah this is a difficult one because I love my Defender 1. I like the color better personally. However a big issue you failed to mention in the "win" column on the Defender 2 is Lume on the indices as opposed to just the hands being Lumed on the Defender 1. Also the rotor on the Defender 1 is noticeably audible. Like you can forget it's there but if you're quiet you'll hear it. I had to replace my crystal and it ended up costing close to $100 but if something else happens to it I'd definitely pick up the Defender 2- better movement, more Lume, and about half the price.
I also love the colors of my defender 1. The indices are more black with just a little lume on the tips of them. It makes the watch look better to me. I had the choice of choosing from both during the change over, and chose the 1st generation. The lack of manual wind is OK, but I really miss the hacking.
I've been wearing my Defender 2 almost every day for the past 2 years and I absolutely love it. It's the perfect daily driver in my eyes. Mine is already a bit scuffed up because and if it were to break on me I would probably just get another Defender 2 again
Nice looking watch but… What I don’t understand is why anyone would need a 24 hours dial. The only two situations I can imagine is if you are exploring a cave for several days or you are trapped in a room without windows. Oh, I figured out the third one. If you live beyond the Arctic Circle during the polar night.
I put my black dial Defender II on a Barton Leather and Rubber Hybrid strap. I wanted the look of the Hamilton Khaki, but with a more “ aggressive” dial. I still can’t decide if I like it better than when it was on a black Artem sailcloth strap, though it is much more comfortable than the sailcloth. It’s not so much my beater as it is one of my more casual looks, without being as sporty as a nato. I may be doing this entire thing wrong.
I have the grey dial defender 1 and still love the placement of the crown compared to the 2. The 2 however has a nice crown logo and I like the hand design of the 2 with the red-tipped seconds hand being a real improvement. I wish the date window was larger on both watches and I prefer Defender 1's date at the 6 O'clock position vs the 3 O'clock on the 1. I went a tad overboard with the replacement strap and bought a stainless and carbon fiber Vollmer. Damn you Time Teller now I also want the Two!
I don’t really care as much about the hacking but it does bother me that it doesn’t hand wind. I’m talking about my defender one but come to think about it if it’s going to be a field watch and you were going to be in the field doing maneuvers with other people and you synchronize your watch with them you probably should be able to hack it on second thought. OK I think you were right
I went looking for the first one on your recommendation, but ended up getting the II instead. After several days it hit me "wait! This one IS better!" One thing you don't mention, but seems to be a thing, is that apparently the new one has better lume!? If you've got both there, maybe a side by side!? There's another improvement on # II, but I can't recall exactly what it is right now. 🤔
You made me laugh so much, you (QUACK!)ing clown. Thanks... 😂😂😂 Let’s say you were right in the context of the data you had at the moment... ;) I love Orients. They are so great in their humbleness. I caught myself telling my Mako Ii, “You know what? You are the most real of my watches...” ❤️
Defender 1 was my least favourite watch ever. Mineral crystal scratched super easy, the watch felt cheap and the movement was archaic. The factory strap was also terrible. I did like the dial however and it kept good time.
I own one , different version. Mine is all black and comes with an olive green nato band. All very nice, and it has one of the best lumes in the industry! What I don’t like in this watch is the back part of the hour and minute hands. A big mistake!! They should not be there, they cover most of the information on the round dials! Totally overlooked by the designers! A shame!, otherwise it would be perfect!!
The way that ppl get triggered about hacking kills me , like do you need to set your watch for a satchel charge on a ww2 SAS raid 🤣🤣🤣 " we strike at 0700 lads set your mark "
Some people have an obsessive compulsive disorder about wanting the exact time all the time. I am setting my $25 Timex with my Atomic Clock on the mark of three, two, one.
HEY !!!!! No sapphire on a field watch are you kidding ??? By the way the beige dial has tempted me for quite a while on the other side Hamilton kakhi waterproof ?,???? 50 meters I think and not 100 what a shame !!!! Even new seiko 5 are 100 meters come on Hamilton it s a joke
The 24 hour dial makes setting it simpler, and I appreciate it being there for that reason alone.
A watch I wear more than I thought I would. 🙂
Sapphire would make this an instant buy for me.

wild that this dude just continues to lie, i doubt he has any fans but if they exist they should be aware TTT is a thief
A good dose of humor is appreciated into the watch world, good job mister
Yep, you got it right. We had to set Jody at JOMW right too. This blows the Seiko away. Got the green one and put a black five ring Nato with bright hardware on it. The knees, of the bees.
Did you buy yours directly from the orient website?

This dudes is growing on me , I used to have a very low tolerance for him … but is it just me or is the channel improving?
I have to agree. I’m enjoying the trolling he does. It’s what makes it for me.
he is my favourite watch youtuber since ever. I never understood why he doesn't have as much subscribers as those other guys ..

Hey, I finally got my Orient Defender 2. I love it! Thanks for the review!! Your channel is awesome!! 😁👍
Jory missed a great opportunity to demonstrate how to get the day hand off of the "half day", and hit the days. I find this funny.
I'm having this issue..do u know how to fix it?
I have two Orients and an Orient Star and they've been great. they look good and keep good time.
Boy, it sure feels good to be more right than the guy who's never wrong.
Have a nice weekend T³.
Orient is the best bang for your buck.
Nice review. Somehow with all the Orient watches that I have collected I do not have either Defender. Off to resolve that now.
Me and my dad are watch enthusiasts. I was about to send this to him, but the "shaking" part made me rethink that decision 🤣🤣
😊😊😊 you may not always be right, but you’re never wrong…. I reckon that sums it up, Jory. 👍🏻
Always fun to watch, thanks bro.
Remember Time Teller, your viewers write the script.
You are just the guy behind the camera like a game show host. ;-)
That cream dial is so nice looking. I have no use for this watch, and already have three Orients, but that cream dial…*lol* Still waiting for Orient to make a four hand GMT!!!

It's next on my list.. but can't decide on what color yet.. but that cream dial looks sharp. Great review as always.
This is gonna be one of those underrated watches that when Orient discontinues it everyone wished they picked one up earlier.
Yup. Happens all the time. The orient Neptune is going up in price. I could sell it at twice what I paid….which would basically be retail 🤣
Been there
I can see that was a real challenge for you to admit that... Respect... Also, I agree, drilled lugs and a framed date windows would make this an 8 instead of a strong 7 in my opinion and, I'm always right ;^) Have a great weekend. -David
"Shake it enough that something might happen"
laughs in Michael Scott 🤣
Jory you make me laugh... often!
Great watch, thanks for sharing. Big fan of Orient, and this may be one for me to look at.
I'm glad that I didn't listen to you the first time about the Defender 1 and went ahead and got the Defender 2. I'm really glad I didn't listen to you about how right I was. 😄

My two Orients have a very comfortable and extremely well made leather strap
Yeah this is a difficult one because I love my Defender 1. I like the color better personally. The Defender 1 does have lume on the indices, it's just not all lume.
You are right 99.7 % of the time. Not bad great teller of time.
That thing is nice. Yeah the Defender 2 is the one to get. And I have a Titanium Khaki Field Hamilton too.
I've been wearing my Defender 2 almost every day for the past 2 years and I absolutely love it. It's the perfect daily driver in my eyes. Mine is already a bit scuffed up because and if it were to break on me I would probably just get another Defender 2 again
I'm still rocking my first gen Defender. Been on my wrist for two deployments over seas. It's just feels like a "perfect" watch for me.
I own the black version of this watch and can confirm it is the real deal. Also very accurate for an auto
If only they threw in a sapphire. Great review, beautiful watch
Orient is such an amazing brand. Check out the Neo 70's. Solar Seiko killer !!!!
Nice looking watch but… What I don’t understand is why anyone would need a 24 hours dial. It's true, I won't be in a cave for days. I won't be saturation diving either, but I got a helium escape valve watch too
Got mine in that same color a few months ago, and I agree. I was right! We were all right...
Been watching your vids awhile. Ended up buying a seiko samurai last night from your vids
I was just thinking that wouldn't it be entertaining if Orient produced the Defender (or Bambino) with a Tiffany blue dial! That would be fun!
I put my black dial Defender II on a Barton Leather and Rubber Hybrid strap. I wanted the look of the Hamilton Khaki, but with a more “ aggressive” dial. I still can’t decide if I like it better than when it was on a black Artem sailcloth strap, though it is much more comfortable than the sailcloth.

those diablo 2 pot noises brought back some memories. yes coffee is a rejuv pot :)
The burble sounds when T3 takes a sip of coffee/tea... corny as heck but it always makes me chuckle.
Min 2:33 and this is why I love this channel
Still want it in 40 by 20 with a simmetrical layout. That 6 o'clock date is better on D1.
Nice t-shirt!
Like how you never fail to tell the time lol.
Orient's Defender is genuinely fire 🚒
It annoys me that Hamilton Khaki watches still haven’t added threaded crowns. It’s a joke considering they cost 3-400 bucks
I would own several of them , but I refuse to until they add a screw down crew .
I have the grey dial defender 1 and still love the placement of the crown compared to the 2. The 2 however has a nice crown logo and I like the hand design of the 2 with the red-tipped seconds hand being a real improvement. It’s time to fog😂😂😂 the joke keeps getting better and better, thanks Jory!
Really made me laugh (again). Nice watch too. Take care big fella.

What's with the day indicator? It's not actually pointing at the day! Which day is it, wed or thur?
Wish I bought this instead of the Bulova hack field. I never wear that thing.
D1 for me. Date @ 6 + crown @ 4 are worth no hand winding.
Hey Jory, there is an account on YT that is impersonating you telling people that they've won a prize if they telegram them.
It's really a beauty
Glad we have that right, now.
New glasses? Lookin good.
Quantam Jory, not wrong but not not right, superimposed right-wrong wrong-rightness at the same time?
Orient packs a punch. My minimums are hacking and hand-winding for any modern watch. There's just no excuse not to have those anymore.
Thanks!
I Toldaso ;) Defender 2 > Def 1.... I have the green on bracelet. No scratches on the mineral in over a year.
I just wish they had updated the movement but kept the dial layout the same as V1.
Totally agree. The 6 o'clock date is much cooler.
Why did the Day complication spend the entire review and WED and 1/2?
I went looking for the first one on your recommendation, but ended up getting the II instead. After several days it hit me "wait! This one IS better!"
One thing you don't mention, but seems to be a thing, is that apparently the new one has better lume!? If you've got both there, maybe a side by side!?

No, no, no, the one to go for is the Orient Star Outdoor Field Watch 😉
Just bought one for 48 x 5 months on Amazon. There's 1 left boys... Go get em.
You made me laugh so much, you (QUACK!)ing clown. Thanks... 😂😂😂
Let’s say you were right in the context of the data you had at the moment... ;)
I love Orients. They are so great in their humbleness. I caught myself telling my Mako Ii, “You know what? You are the most real of my watches...” ❤️
This had me roooooolling. 👌🏼 Keep bringin the flames lol
Loved the response to the purists. 😂
Definite Walter Sobchak vibes!
I think that in the future, Orient will dump the “Rothmans” cigarettes logo.
I am very interested in these watches. What wrist size does the bracelet fit?
it sits nicely on a 7.5'' wrist
Is the fogging thing in the Hamilton’s something happens quite often ? I have the Khakki and this happened more than once . Thanks .
No personal experience but from what I’ve read a heavy sneeze can fog them , quite irritating.
love the glasses!
I love this guy!
What’s up with the day hand being in between two days?
Do you think I could get away with this on a 6 1/2 wrist?
Hey, you do know when you do a wrist watch check at the begging, the idea is to show us your watch, not the actual time? You do own some nice watches?
what about lume?ithink thats important for a field watch.....is that good?
Hacking isn’t important unless your watch keeps to a few seconds a month… or unless you need to synchronize watches.
Defender 1 was my least favourite watch ever. Mineral crystal scratched super easy, the watch felt cheap and the movement was archaic. The factory strap was also terrible. I did like the dial however and it kept good time.
I put in a Saphire and it feels and looks awesome. Not cheap at all. And with a green nato band it looks awesome (have the gray dial version)
Nice video.. 150$ in the Philippines
we get it ok! we are RIGHT and you are not WRONG.
Can mineral glass be replaced or get some sort of coat???
I believe this one has sapphire glass.
I own one , different version. Mine is all black and comes with an olive green nato band. All very nice, and it has one of the best lumes in the industry!
