It’s amazing to me that the community has already written off this character as unusable when only 10 people are even playing him properly. Thanks for sharing this, I do NOT want to see him buffed. He’s already powerful enough, people just don’t play him right.
I've definitely seen a lot of Iron Men in casual glued to the ceiling trying to tickle everyone to death with splash damage, then just getting kills with the occasional ult. Sure, he can be tricky to hit up there, but he's not really doing damage either. I'm a Luna main so I definitely see his lack of long range damage (strangely she also has a piercing attack that they dont tell you pierces, same as the unibeam)
With the hulk team up his splash damage is more meaningful. I’m trying to learn him and from what I can tell he’s more of a tank shredder than anything.
I agree, but flying high i just got 47 kos with a good team because I was cleaning up the ( good ) messes they were making, plus : I was taking out the other teams iron man immediately.
I've been hitting MVP in 80% of the games I play this character, because of these tips. You can get double and triple kills just by sneaking on the enemy, hitting E and then using the laser to melt healers and dps with it.
subbed ur guide is the best cuz every guide says dont use Missiles but ur weaving the in as an aniMation cancel for More dps way better to do ty i learning it
me too lol, most don't last more than 3 sec alive when they get that close specially with black panther, iron fist I mean pretty much anyone can kill iron man easy if you don't hide in the skies lol
He has good points but yeah most people would get melted. I’ve been playing iron man for a few weeks now, I found the best strat is to flank, obliterate their healers up close, and then zoom away. Communicate to your team their healers are gone and pepper them from the sky while your team obliterates them up close. It’s MUCH easier to land direct hits at a distance if your team has their attention. Then play a little more defensively for a bit, do it again, and then save your overdrive for when they send people after you. Once you melt them, go all in on the healers again lmao
*question* Have you tried binding jet packs to scroll wheel down - then rockets to scroll wheel up? I just started playing iron man today so I watched your guide. 2:20 during your explanation you mentioned the quick jetpack burst-to-rockets and the fastest way I’ve found to accomplish this is by quickly scrolling down than back up for an immediate use of the rocket cooldown. Thoughts?
@@batteryshower4714 got to d3 with these tactics with Ironman and punisher as my dps mains. Safe to say it works. And Ive only done competitive for 2 days solo queue. Iron man is by far one of the easiest characters to use to counter a whole team with your skill. The only way you should die is if your healers don’t look up or you can’t get to a health pack in time. No one beats iron man in a 1v1. Him and punisher have the least bad matchups
is it just me? i played iron man for 50 hours now, and i have never used the missle rockets ability. it does very little damage, hard to hit, and long animation ps: i'm diamond
Because it is suggested to stay up close, when would you use repulsor bean over unibeam? Perhaps if you want more mobility up close you'd use repulsor? Only thing I'm not following
I disagree. I've done much better with Ironman when using him far in the air away from the opponents compared to midrange. He is not built to be that close. The unibeam should only be used defensively if someone gets in your personal space, rarely offensively. And it doesn't matter if you tickle or chip the opponents with the repulsor blasts and they outheal, the point is that you rack up damage.
@@MasterMask14 Again, not what I experienced. Both of you just did an appeal to authority fallacy. Just because an expert says so doesn't mean that's always true.

They do the same for storm and wolverine. Yet they both bully and take over the pace of the match.
nah he need a movement speed buff still hes only useful when there’s no hela or hawkeye

wait the unibeam pierces? I felt like most players were inting on Iron Man, but this is very compelling.
Most people are shooting from way above so they never see the pierce

I’ve gone 44-4 doing that. I’m usually top in kills doing that. It hits way more damage than you think if you are actually accurate
Really good guide, made me understand him MUCH better.

your guides are really good, you just convinced me to pick loki up!
There is one thing that this video reminded me of. Micro Missiles are really good for chip damage regularly and good for damage in the enhanced state.
Love this video. The tech is insane thank you. Can you do magneto and venom? I know they are boring but I can't help but wonder what they might have

Armour overdrive should auto reload the mag lol fr come on
Should I play iron man with a mix of flying high and using unibeam and like flanking with beam?
Interesting but lets see some of this outside the practice range
