Hi, this single, Falling In Love With You Girl and the B-side, You're Wrong About Me was released in 1971. The other single released by The Star-Tells on my channel, Exterminator Man b/w What More Can I Ask For was released in 1970. Hope this helps!
My sympathy goes out to you. This is my first night (October 29, 2023) I hear this song, and it means that music soothes the savage beast. I pray that may Gracious Great God take well care of you much more.
That decade was the era of continuous soul music. In this year 2023, I love this song, but hear it better on UA-cam. After all, the free radio stations are not playing it anymore.
This [old] and genuine music is my heart. There are lots of rare singers and bands I had never heard of since I was 1 year-old and now 70 years old. Now, we know that music soothes the savage beast.
Chicago forgotten soul the star-tells went by a couple of other names the admirations the chimes the esquires had song on this label at the time girls in the city another one of those chicago classic that takes you back to the days of wvon
Thanks for the info! I'd heard about the star-tells going by the chymes but not the admirations, could you elaborate more on that? What singles did they put out under the name?
The Star-Tells and the Admirations were two different groups. The Admirations were out of the Cabrini-Green Housing Development on the north side of Chicago. The Star-Tells were a Chicago south side group.
Loving it. Records like this were very fine, but did not receive attention top 40 records did. It was unfair practice. Many gorgeous and fine records got cold shoulder from record Co. Execs and AM radio dj's. Was payola a real thing. One has to wonder. (Alas I was product of disco era. Those records did not depend on "MACHINE" to promote those singles. And still, they outsold everything else).
That is how many fine songs did not receive the proper airplay over the radio airwaves and listeners did not hear these masterful works. "Blame it on the boogie?"
That is how it makes me feel. I wish I would be in a ladies' home reminiscing with this music penetrating my nerves and soul. It feels much better than chemical medicine. Smooth is what this song is supposed to be. That is the way I love it. I am 70 years old and I approve this message.
This song has that Chicago sound to it.... beautiful sound and groove too it... five thumbs up 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

I could not ask for anyone better than Star-Tells. This music is out-of-this world!
Thank God for MD and CD recorders
Great indeed because it sounds like a song from the early 70's. From 1970-73 whether it is that was the time of great music.
That decade was the era of continuous soul music. In this year 2023, I love this song, but hear it better on UA-cam. After all, the free radio stations are not playing it anymore.
I've never heard this one before. It's not bad at all.

Not bad? This song is sweet-sweet!
" What a song to pull at your " Heartstrings "...Mmm
They were ahead of there time !!!!
These soul groups beat us to the punch! That is the way I get all this specially fine music on UA-cam.
I love songs from ASCAP publisher members, such as the Robbins Music Corporation and the Miller Music Corporation.
So smooth❤❤😊

You got style, you got a touch of class.
Sounds like it should have been a Shag classic.
The lead singer sounds a little like Archie Bell of Archie Bell and the Drells
Yes he does
no way, Archie had a scratchy loud soulfully voice, this sounds like white pop singer
Dreamy smooth song ❤❤
