Special Assignment - Prisons, 15 June 2014

Special Assignment met four inmates of the maximum security section of Grootvlei prison just outside Bloemfontein, two men were inside for murder and one a bank robber and fourth, a fraudster and a thief. The special assignment team was told extraordinary tales of the corruption inside prison and was handed a chilling tape to prove it. The prisoners started making a secret video of their interaction with warders, they filmed the warders buying stolen prison food from them, bringing them drugs, juveniles for sex and even selling them a loaded fire arm.
This programme shows the video the man handed to the special assignment team and also reveals the identity of the implicated warders.
