Absomotherfuckinlutely shred-a-licious... fuckin' on 🔥 for reals. Shit I wish I had a tenth of that playing ability my brother from another mother and know first hand from being a self-taught musician/guitarist with the work and dedication it takes to just play the damn inanimate object we love so much. I never had lessons, not even musically educated in anyway shape or form. Not even in grade school or high school classes or any books/video guides or tab books in my 25yrs jamming from knowing nothing about anything music orientated, not so much as a scale ever practiced. Hell I don't even know any covers to this day man... how sad is that? LmFiAo 🤣 I have maintained an original goal from the gate to be an all original player when I bought my first guitar in '95 for my own b-day present which was an Ibanez RG series electric that I didn't even have an amp to play it through for more than a year before finally getting a cheap ass Crate 2×10 combo solid-state in an ad in the paper. So before that I would literally stick the headstock of my guitar in the corner of my bedroom wall to get some kind of life out of her and volume to hear more than a dry unplugged electric guitar sound. Note many times I was tested with the love hate relationship of learning how to make sense of a guitar that I was clueless on coming close a few times in giving it up because it was such a slow process for me. But I some how some way kept the drive alive in wanting to discover the feeling one day of actually being able to make that damn thing one day sing. I didn't care about recognition, fame, being signed, making lot's of money for it wasn't my intention to do so... l literally just wanted to experience being able to play good enough to make myself smile from gratitude for getting that far. Being self-taught musician I am limited in my abilities as I am very aware of this. Trust me I do wish I was musically educated these days because I feel I would be three times better than the player I am today. Sorry for the rambling on and telling my tidbit journey into my playing experiences man but just wanted to say I have a mad respect for you and your dedication and wish I had approached it from the perspective you know and understand so well because the freedom I see you play with is that next level I want to be able to experience someday my brother from another mother you have re-inspired me to pick her up again after a void that came upon me and my playing man so thanks a million and keep doing what you do, you are a solid kid and got the right attitude for it too!🤘😎
@@ZachAdkinsGuitar if you do end up covering my tune Twin Towers Falling please don't hold back and even ad/incorporate some of your own flare and style if you'd like man. I ask of this of you in a sense of sending back a piece of me that was lost 5+yrs ago man. Not only that I could really seriously use that kind of push in inspiration and energy in my direction passing back the torch if ya know what I mean my brother, it would be beyond greatly appreciated and words would never be able to describe how grateful I would be and if you are able to mimic my tune playing wise I would be beyond dumbfounded by it. Not to mention be fully renewed spiritually by witnessing such awesomeness man, for reals! 🤘🤑 ~•🆘️•~ 🎸🔊🎼🎵🎶
You are very talented, watched a few of your videos and you're very advanced technically but also great at playing slow with lots of feel and good phrasing. The top 1% of guitar players
Amazing cover especially in 1 take! I am working on covering it too, would it be possible to share the backing track (or I will have to do all from scratch that is more laborious!) thanks!!
Damn Man !!!! On a scale of 1 to 10 to cover !! And you nailed it dude a 10 bro !! This is so difficult to play doing just a few phrases from this monster is insanity Loomis playing this live is well insane !! How long did it take you to get it like this Zach ?
I've been playing this song for years, finally felt it was ready at this point. That was my 5th take, I didn't wanna piece it together. One camera, one take. This was the one I hated the least lol

I wish I could. But, I got the backing track from Jeff himself.
It is his property. I wonder if he is selling it on his website as a download
Came here after Jeff's shared post..
Incredible performance..

I don't have it. I got it from Jeff Loomis. He has not given me permission to share it. I'm sorry!

Like you said some messy bits, and the backing track is too loud, but overall you got the song down. Nice tone as well.
