Thanks to Bandai Namco for early PC review code. - Ігри
Soulsborne expectations on an Armored Core game is hilarious
Couldn't agree more. Perfect world: give me the core of an Armored Core game, but gussy it up visually. Maybe an interesting new mechanic or two.
This video helped me make an informed purchasing decision.
This succinct comment validated my hard work and I thank its kind author.
On NG+ you supposedly get new missions and weapons and other stuff that only unlocks with multiple playtroughs. The 50h might have been a statement about platinuming the game?
I've seen a handful of missions I didn't play, purely because I didn't pick them first go. But one thing that has to be factored in to any duration conversation: any subsequent NG+ replay will at least be half the hours of whatever you did the first run in. You're going to want to skip hours and hours of cutscenes/audio messages you've already seen/heard.
Thanks for being honest..
You'll always get that here. Thanks for stopping by.
I've decided to cancel my preorder on pc launch edition because I realized I was more excited about these physical addons than I was in the game. I was very hyped but then it died down. I will get it when it's cheaper.
10 hours after doing EVERYTHING in the first playthrough is crazy, i was expecting 20 hours just for the main missions alone
speaking of first hurdle difficulty, AC4 and 4a can be beat in under an hour once you have your monster built. The gameplay is so fun it just doesn't matter
Too funny you mentioned Virtual On. This game totally reminded me of that and had me watching videos of that game lol
I remember that, despite polygons being a very finite thing in 1996, each of the Virtual On bots had mini Saturn consoles attached to their backs. Am now petitioning From for DLC that let's me bolt a PS5 or Xbox on my butt in this.
@@GrizGamingI also love virtual on, I have it emulated on my pc! Great game. Thanks for the review of armored core. I knew SOMETHING would be wrong with it, and it sounds like duration is the answer.
Early nerd catches the worm.
Great review. Thanks for this!
Heh, nice. You're welcome!
Thank you so much for the review!
Seriously hope that they will expand on the multiplayer PvP in subsequent patches. From the sound of it, PvP is actually what's going to give this game the longevity.
Me too. Zero mention of it in my reviewer guide notes -- which doesn't fill me with confidence. I'm itching to deploy into it.
I would like coop campaign.
Man! That's just decline. This was supposed to be an elevation but they seem content to barely deliver. *sigh
Thanks for the clear review.
Very well expressed. Good job.
Crazy how fast you beat the game compared to others. You are truly built different.
I also would have accepted "built odd." I honestly think I lucked into that build. Right weapons. Right balance of mobility and power. Minimal need to grind money for parts. Invest early in plasma rifles, plasma missile launchers, and the suit power that momentarily negates/exposes incoming melee attacking enemies.
Thank you for a good review. It is nice to see reviews who are offering cons for games too. Otherwise review looks just like shilling. I wish you could review PVP side of things. Please consider making a separate review for it.
Thanks! That's a sad flow on of creators "trying to make it" or stay in the good graces of the review code keymasters, I guess. I'm beyond caring about either. My motto: Say it how you think it is or not at all.
That pile bunker/flamethrower set-up went way harder than it needed to. That frame had no chill.
I didn't use it in the campaign, so I was pretty surprised by the range of the thrower. Mid-range melty.
How did it run on pc? Any stutters or did it run really well?
Barrelled along like a dream when cranked to Maximum -- no frame drops. Had one isolated crash during a pre-mission load screen. Beyond that, zero issues.
@@GrizGaming Thanks for that info, but shouldn't you have included this in the review since you are reviewing the PC version of AC6?
@@clevelandbrown4571 Had more important things to say. If there's a problem with framerate or other technical aspects, I mention it. If not, just assume it's hunky dory.
It's less than ten hours away from release, and this is the first I've heard that it was 50 hours long, or that there could be 100+ missions. I'm not fireproof, but this is new heat. Regardless, after ten years, I just want a few hours of hot Armored Core.
Is this title a Jim Henson reference?
It is now
The AC assembly part was... meh. Not the best segment but this is coming from a fairly hardcore AC fan. So those values are something I'm very, very, very used to.
Otherwise I quite like the vid & if it matters to you, I did indeed end up liking the vid. All in all it still contained a good amount of information. I just had to adjust the point of reference from yours to mine, in a manner of speaking.
Fair call.
So its sekiro length & content wise
Which on par on FROM output
Maybe we'll get expansion 1 year from now
I think the game is not that short, there are tons of multiple paths and alternate possibilities to branch out and try on extra playthrough for additional hours of gameplay. Similar to Nier Automata
Here: ua-cam.com/video/f7d4wydjyNc/v-deo.html I say 20 hours to see it all (if on your two subsequent playthroughs to get all 3 endings you skip the cutscenes you've already seen.)
Assuming this is a typical AC game there are likely 2-4 endings you entirely missed.
Nah. 3. I got two of them. 3rd is a slightly longer affair, but it goes over a lot of old cutscenes/audio messages that you'll not want to re-see. So the runtime of that replay is shaved down ridiculously.
It’s interesting because some reviews have stated it’s taken them 50 hours to finish the game for the first time. It all depends on experience
I think a good medium seems to be the 15 hours IGN's reviewer reported. Though they don't say how much time they spent replaying for content not seen. I'm interested to hear how the wider community goes with it TBH.
@@GrizGaming honestly 15 hours is ideal for me though. I dislike when games are overly long as if you’re not struggling with the game, it can feel bloated. With Elden Ring I was breezing through it, but there was so much content that I felt a sense of burnout before finally finishing it. Like you say it will be interesting how the general community takes it though.
@@christopherlyndsay8611yeah I hit the area after the city and was just fed up. Powered through the rest of the game but it was a slog the last 1/3rd or so
@@babadook1283 yeah mountain tops of the giants onwards wasn’t great. A lot of farum Azula was brilliant though
My full longplay ua-cam.com/video/f7d4wydjyNc/v-deo.html . Update: Game Director Masaru Yamamura: “There are about 50 missions in total [...] players are expected to play repeatedly with different endings.” His estimate of one playthrough of Armored Core VI: 20 hours to beat. In my experience, however, publisher estimates are always higher than reality. Maybe split the diff and go in with a 15 hour prediction for yourself.
I'm shocked you only have 30k followers, this video was professionally cut together and VO'd, the perfect length, and was honest
like gmanlives but not annoying
Many thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks for a great and honest review. I'm a patient guy, so will probably purchase the game once it's down to £25, ( and I suspect won't be that long of a wait). Cheers
I dont know why i watch these because i genuinly dont care about anyones opinion about a game i have yet to play LMAO
triggered LMAO
ok I'm going to be blunt, you know how to play, lol! I've seen so many videos of people playing this game and they can't aim, they can't use the energy blades ( always miss a non-moving target) they have trouble moving. you have none of those problems! so your like halving the game time? for real look at the other videos and tell me I'm wrong.
Cheers mate. Here's the full run, see for yourself: ua-cam.com/video/f7d4wydjyNc/v-deo.html
