It is sooo much easier to just lay fat on sofa, browse the web for satellite imagery and point'n'shoot at dropdown menus, until One gets bored (5min max), clicks on "Donate 1$ to teamtrees", feel as if s/he achieved something and return to play online games over night. Doing actual job for advancing something you/me/they really care for is a lot harder.
I'll say this. Pressure your state legislature not to allow the ceo of AccuWeather become the head of noaa. The national weather service will be ruined and all this weather data become paid.

Hi, you got me basically into this topic and getting out my old RtlSDR even I am studying in this field. Since I stumbled across your NOAA video (and your channel) and now I build my own antennas and pulling NOAA images nearly 24/7 :) Lately I'm more interested in the more advanced stuff ;) and want to first receive some 1.6Ghz GOES, or more realistic the European EUMATSAT "clones" When checking the GOES frequencies I spottet the 8.22Ghz raw data channel, which got me thinking if you can use a modified TV sat receiver working around 10Ghz. It would come with LNA and Downsampler/Mixer. Since I am not into RF stuff in my course of studies yet, is this only an idea I got while looking for a dish for the 1.6Ghz receiver... 3 days later you upload this video and I wonder, since I didn't thought of it any further or searched for it, are people doing the 8.2Ghz channel with DIY equipment, except for the final ADC (you showed some PCIe capure card briedly), since the channel has a whooping 120Mhz bandwith! :O I would love to get some link, if you have anything where I can start my research and of course would love to see a video from you about this topic :)

Please distinguish correctly between multispectral and hyperspectral imaging. It's a huge difference and needs to be explained correctly. hyperspectral imaging is a more demanding task and needs a higher dimension data structure and representation. Multispectral is anything more than greyscale. So RGB for example.

Can we plant enough trees to undo climate change? yes, but only if we also got rid of all the useless farmland and instantly stopped burning fuel. But that's not the point of team trees anyway. It's just a show of force that hundreds of people who may not all get along or agree, can put down their bullshit and do something positive. And there's lots of places you could plant those 20mill trees and have them be extremely beneficial to the ecosystem you plant them in.

...TIL the sun rotates on a monthly cycle, I had no frikkin' clue.
It's surface rotates with a period of about a month. The core rotates at faster speeds and thereby generates the Sun's strong magnetic field.
Also, the equator and the poles of the Sun rotate at a different rate, at the equator it takes about 24 days and almost 38 days at the poles.
