Approaching Casablanca we had to hold above SAK NDB. In the holding we had a beautiful view of the city and other traffic around us. After more than 15 minutes we where able to commence the non-precision approach towards runway 17L.

I am from Casa, And the HOLDING At SAK is absolutely stunning the view of traffic from the ground is even more beautiful holding above the city at low ALT and High speed ;), nice recording by the way.

Wat een gigantische hoeveelheid letters kwamen er vanuit de ATC. Kunnen jullie daar nog wijs uit? Moet wel natuurlijk, maar in mijn beleving was dit wel heel veel.
Verder weer heel mooie beelden, waar ik van genoten heb. Paste precies bij het weer hier in Holland.
Je collega zette het toestel mooi aan de grond, waarvoor mijn compliment.
Nu aftellen naar het echte werk. Hoop dat je snel weer de lucht in mag.

Hey Michaël, weer een heel zonnige bijdrage. Inderdaad mooi uitzicht vanuit je 'office' dankzij de hold. Met ndb-landingen heb ik niet zoveel ervaring in mijn pc-simulator. Nog wat info nemen op dit soort naderingen via UA-cam en documentatie en dan eens proberen hé, bv. op Casablanca. 😉😀

One of my uncles spent his shore leave in Casablanca while serving on board H.M.S. Isiis a destroyer during the Second World War and he told me that it is a very nice place with a lovely park he liked Casablanca and the weather

WOW that some quality ATC there its CAVOK they have radar and they run NDB approach out of a holding pattern , iam thinking a little speed control and vectors for the visual approach

@@mightymkl I spent 30 years as an air traffic controller 26 of those years as a radar controller at Chicago Center and Chicago Tracon and i never ran approaches out of a holding pattern in CAVOK WX

Thank you so much for another interesting video! One question: When the aircraft is too low, it says: Too low, terrain! Why it doen't say this when an aircraft is close to the ground because the captain want to approach? Is it, because the plane "knows" that there is an airport near and the pilot wants to approach?

I mentioned... "The cabin call has been given". At FL100 or 10.000ft we give the command to the cabin crew via the Public Adres.... "Cabin crew - Prepare For Landing".
