The sonic landscape of this material sounds awesome, through my laptop speakers. I can only imagine what it sounds like in close proximity. You have yourself a pair of great sonic brushes. Happy creating!
any comments if have 2 shelfords and then having MBC has any further added advantage, since a lot of analog color is added via shelfords and MBC although a very good converter, can still add something to the overall mix?? My interface is UAD Apollo..
Can this limiter be used as a kind of first "glue" limiter of the mix that goes into computer for final mastering and maybe as the final "all in" limiter at the end of the "mastering chain"? I'm just thinking this could be a great tool for me if I use it on a mix bus to add a little color and a little "glue" with that limiter before going to mastering stage, like you would use a bus compressor ... Or this is just for final stage?
Hey Dan, the video is part of our german review- u can find more audio examples comparing them there! www.bonedo.de/artikel/einzelansicht/rnd-mbc-test/2.html best, felix
great video... i have a question.. in my analog chain, My AD is the Burl B2 ADC and the last unit before i hit my Burl B2 is the Maselec MPL-2 Limiter.. Do you think its a good idea that i sell the burl and maselec limiter and get the RND MBC? i am just thinking that maybe with this unit i would have more versatility with the tone shaping options with the transformer/silk options or going clean, the side chain options in the limiter thats not in the maselec...etc..
The MBC is def. a level up in converting alone. u also have a lot more Options in colour and most important being transparent, which is my fav here. i am not sure about the limiter. honestly, i don´t use it. Or if then so slighty i guess there would be no difference compared to the maselec. i think software limiting is way better than hardware. also: www.bonedo.de/artikel/einzelansicht/rnd-mbc-test/2.html at the bottom u can find more audios comparing burl and mbc ;-) hope this helps!
Hey Miguel, not quite sure if I got you right. In this demo i am using the HEDD just to show the Output via its LEDs - i do not toggle between them. Master Clock is always my audio interface as i am lazy and want to be able to change SR from the computer. hope this helps!
@@amalgami You own the MBC?, i have one on the way, wanted the lavry gold when i learnt about this clock thing, but then heard mbc has a good clock, so got it instead. You think the mbc can least be in the same ball park of clock sound as lavry or that grim clock.?
@@barneyrubble8255 Mine is on the way too :).. I hope MBC to be the best or close. Don't have experience about others you have mentioned but have heard about them. There is a thread on gearspace comparing these you have mentioned.. Also throw in Burl in the comparison..

You need to explain to people the full audio chain - 1. Whatever the source is - D/A ( DAW - converter, and/or etc) - if you claim at 0-00sec, Clean A/D - My Question - Where from is Analog Audio coming from,? tape, recorder, Tascam 3000, and etc?? , then show full chain, up to the speakers, otherwise, this video is useless.
@@ProducingBonedo No one needs the picture of your speakers, yet, someone would appreciate the full chain of the audio from the source to the final destination. Very strange though to ask a question to someone who asked you some questions, no further comments on this video. The playing on the guitar is awesome, if it helps!
Yes you do have a valid point …. this guy is being deliberately obscure, which is typical of a lot of ‘smart arse’ tech heads who think they know more than anyone else and want to keep it that way. Really Bonedo shouldn’t have bothered even making this video, if he finds it so hard to share the information you are validly requesting. Typical German

"sonic brushes" I love that
I like it! I own the MBC, too! Great demonstration of a great tool!
how do u like it as a converter and as a limiter.. how does it compare to other converters you used?
@@mnawara I like it very much! I use the Limiter all the time. Just a few dB to shape the transients and to glue! The coverter is more transparent
does anybody know if this is worth it more than the Lavry Savitr for the price
Beautiful piece of music.
Thanks for that!!!! Again a really nice mix!!!! YOU ARE SO GOOD!!!!
This is amazing demonstration video if not the best! Thank you!
can you make a video showing how to connect the mbc to a music equipment ?
music instrument? a guitar ? u will need a preamp for this.

OK I am confused ....it appears only the RND was tested but the HEDD
yupp - thats right. hedd is only used for metering post conversion
Thank you :) Is it the Audio that we’re hearing coming from the RND into the HEDD, or just the RND?
@@mattevans1427 RND is going AES into x16, thats what your hearing. HEDD gets AES from x16 for visualization

Symphony IO mk2
How does the AD compare to the Hedd?
I am curious in both those pieces. Have you compared the clocks of the 2 to each other?

keep the limiter and buy both the RND and the HEDD...always best to have more gear....different songs require different gear etc
Who is the group performing? And name of the song? Sounds amazing!!
