Just did similar upgrade for both my new KI and T2 cabs and gives it a nice "umpf". I went with a Logitech 50W 2.1 set up($49.99 CAD) and the thing I like about that unit is it comes with a wired volume/on off toggle switch that you can mount with Velcro to the back panel.
Watching this at home... You know.... I would have tried to figure out a way to mount the Speaker Volume control to the outside the cab so you could never touch the cab volume. Double Sided Sticky tape for the Volume Control and BOOM!
Awesome mod, thank you for making this video. I never heard of the Klipsch brand, but those speakers sound incredible for the money. I also appreciate your detailed setup instructions...my biggest question was if the volume switch on the control deck would still control the sound...big help for demonstrating that. Kudos bro 👊🏻
I’ve owned nothing but Klipsch audio since before they were cheapened down to be sold at Best Buy. Used to have to find them at specialty stores or magazines to order them. They really kick ass
Great video bro!! Its an AWESOME 😎 SPEAKER set!! I picked up a similar Klipsch 2.1 set from Costco for 129! I think the sub is bigger - retailed for 179. I use it to power my full size custom Arcade!! Sounds Awesome!!
Right! Perfect little system in my opinion- hell I’ve even used that system bk in the day for parties and just hook it up to an iPod-- works perfect for that… that’s how I first came across it actually. Th is for checking it out buddy!!! Sorry I missed most of that trivia the other night- really cool idea there🤣
For anyone doing this mod if you happen to get a hum while the machine is plugged in while not on you can fix it with a ground loop isolator.. they are like $10 on Amazon
With this sound system- I def think so. Years later ,(I still think) putting these sound systems in the cab was one of the best mods I could have done- has that real arcade sound vs that high pitched tinny sound you get from the factory 3 inch speakers
Thanks brother- I was watching your game play against KAG- you don’t mess around!!!you guys are really good at this game! Thanks for checking the video out my dude!!! Appreciate that😘👍
Absolutely- just brings all the arcade one ups to a real arcade sound quality- I think people underestimate the sound we used to hear in the originals and how that hold just as much water to the nostalgia as the game itself
Hey 8-bit im local (MA) we should go to fun spot for a video of the biggest arcade in New England. Can only make it a better video to have a fan/sub with you lol. Keep up ghe great work bud
Thanks for checking it out bro- the camera doesn’t even capture the full depth either- much better in person. I saw your speaker upgrade review but I already had these on hand- so I went with it.
Yaaa you do!!!! That KI is a great cab- now that I see you got all your glitches fixed- that sound system puts it at another level!!!! Trust me! Thanks for checking out the video OTG👍
Yes sir. It’s like plugging in glorified headphone into your game.. but instead it’s a whole stereo system.. worth every penny.. done it to almost all my older cabs.. make the game sound so much more like the real thing
HEY! AWESOME!!!! Are you gonna be adding Happ or IL Sticks and Buttons to your cab as well? I have these Speakers in my Cart on Amazon... They are labeled at a great price and are THX Rated. I went around looking for a alternative to Logitech since their Prices have SPIKED! For my two personal Machines I added a Logitech Z533 for Class of 81, and for Marvel Vs. Capcom a Logitech Z623.
Nice- let me know how they work out…I know I get my klipsch ones on eBay- labeled ass refurbished for anywhere between $75-$100… which I price shop a little for the best deal with shipping included. Yes- I probably will put the happ buttons and sticks in the cab since I already have them, and simply b/c I want to be better at the leader boards…., however if your just a casual player?, I don’t think swapping them is necessary for this cab-- they actually did a descent job on the stock ones.
@@dwayneraimer Well... The Z623 have too much distortion at the higher volumes... I could only assume it's do to the lack of an Amp or something like that for the game. I have watched many videos on A1UPs and over the past year that is what seems to be the case... The PCB and it's sound Output... or the PCB it's amp clashing with the Logitech Amp... I don't know. Now, because they do get loud before sound issues it isn't as noticable until I get buzzed with the beer, and after standing in front of speakers I get the itch to want to keep turning them up, and up, and Up LOL!!!!!! I didn't care for the Look... So I slapped my speakers on top to get full face smacked with the sound.... Overall.... I am happy..... Especially since I know I probably went to far. . . The Logitech Z533 were used on my MVC before Class of 81 launched, and although it had similar sound hitches... The point when it did distort was much easier to avoid whilst getting louder, but no where near as Bass Heavy as what I have now. My personal feel.... Is that the A1UP is too Amplified... And the sound even more amplified by the speakers so it begins to distort at level 13 with on board controls, and volume set to the middle on the speakers.. 🧐
It seems that UA-cam tends to delete comments with links... But here is the last video I made that shows how my cabs look like.... ua-cam.com/users/shortsd8Ajobo2UPU?feature=share
Yes I will be adding the happ buttons and sticks which I already have- just havnt gotten too that yet. As far as the speakers system goes- you’re going to pay too much if you get it on amaz9on- go to eBay and look for the refurbished ones… they are used but literally NOT…. They are just the speakers you see on display in the store.. no parts missing- works like brand new- free shipping- and comes in the original boxes..priced between 75 -$200 for all- you can’t go wrong
In all honesty- I’ve had that klipsch system for a year now in anticipation for this game because I already knew that A1up was not ever going to bring the sound to that level… bought that way bk when they barely mentioned that the game my come out- long before preorders were available. I appreciate you checking it out my dude!! Thanks
There’s just one problem-- once you get good sound… there’s almost no going bk.. it spoils you instantly… the systems are refurbished at that price-- but they are literally brand new and sometimes just the display model.. all look very brand new
just plug it to the headphone jack and get a better sound... I plug mine up to my Bose F1 Model 812 and it blows the sound at very high levels without any distortion.... keeps you from having to open your console.....js
Mine does buzz somewhat as well when the volume is cranked up… I honestly believe this does NOT hurt the pcb… you have to think of it like plugging in a guitar chord into an amp- always some buzzing there… but it’s the sub/amp related that’s taking all that harnessed electricity( not the pcb ). It’s just a little annoying if it’s plugged in the game isn’t on… in this case I just usually unplug the stereo when the game is off.
@@dwayneraimer thank you so much. I figured that would be the case but I just wanted to make sure. It sounds so awesome with the new speakers and sub. I just didn't want to hurt the machine.
After a years worth of playing it hasn’t done a thing so far.. you can but a speaker condesor adapter on amazon for like $10 in case your worried that just plugs in between the stereo speaker cable and the pcb itself
Seems to be… I did that to my original tmnt cab as well- no issues in 2 years🤞. Just to be safe though, if your not playing the game, (meaning the game is off), I would unplug the stereo system if possible. Of course that’s just my paranoia though. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it. Good luck👍
It would be ok but the output going out the back of the pcb is amplified it's not a aux jack. As long as your amplifier can handle an amplified source then you will be ok.
@@dwayneraimer Arcade 1 up has some great looking art on the cabs and the license must cost a lot. So I think what happens is they have to keep the price down so the quality of the cab suffers. Pro line looks promising but at what price. If it stay 1000.00 or under it will probably be the way to go. Thanks for the video.
@@waynerice4918 agreed. The most appealing thing I’ve seen on the pro line- is the 19 Inch monitor.. the competition happ controls and buttons are only $50 to upgrade yourself and A1up is gonna mark up some cheap variation of happ for another $200 a cab and still will not be competition grade. At the prices now- there’s no real excuse for not having top notch marquee without washout.
KI seems like a great candidate for a speaker upgrade. The soundtrack is amazing!
I know right- nothing like those guitar riffs blasting out from it!! Thanks for watching

Are you getting the full quality crisp from the speakers being inside the cab fully enclosed? Sound travel, treble etc?
