I started the show out of curiosity and ended up watching the 8 episodes in a row what a beautiful and tender show. Now I cant stop talking about it around me. I absolutely love it
I really hope that Netflix makes a second series of this delightful Spanish LGBT+ romcom. One of the most enchanting and captivating series I've seen this year. I'd like to see how Alex and Bruno's relationship develops. 😀
Out of curiosity. The show is about two Men and their journey to get over their insecurities and get together. We all know its about two gay Men. We are all watching this video and we know whats up. I myself too am gay. But wouldn't it save so much time in this space or with like minded people not to have to use the indicators "gay" "Lesbian" or "LGBTQUI+?" Not trying to fight I ask this same question to many people. (I was reading comments you where the only on to use signifier's, i assume. I can only read in English)
Well, it was based on theatre play - so probably it was never supposed to be continued. They're finished together and that is great. Season 2, 3, 4 (...) would be only to repeat the story. So let there be no season 2 - but it would be great to see another story, of other people, with happy ending.

Finally watched something so sweet,loving and yet relatable, loved when Alex and Bruno were dating other guys but love, real love always wins at the end and that's I got to see, Alex and Bruno being together which is what matters🌈🥰❤️
I watched this show and, thinking critically, I saw a bunch of issues... but it doesn't matter because it managed to pull at my heartstrings so hard all the same. This video captures the emotion perfectly
This serie is absolutely perfect to wait heartstopper season 2. I have something to rewatch a dozen of times now I'm happy thanks to all people involved in Smiley! And I just discover Merlí bc of Smiley. So let's go 😂
It is just a cute little story about taking chances and don't let go that easy, because you can find what you are looking for in places you don't imagine
The editing is good. Would be even better if the scene at the end of episode 7 Bruno was crying talking about beer (aka Alex) is in. Personally I think that is the best acting of the whole season!
I loved this series so much. I'm heartbroken that Netflix cancel that after one season. I wanted to see their relationship blossom. I pray that the producers find a way to continue story. What a beautiful uplifting and adorable show. The two lead actors are phenomenal and have great chemistry together.

This show literally had my friends and me on our toes lmaooo. Spoilers: Like whenever the dream sequences came up and they got together and then it turned out to be a dream we got so pissed. Then we thought they finally started talking again and it turned out to be them talking to different people.. UGHHH!!! Then, we were mad at Vero then mad at Patri then like "oh cool" but still mad at Patri. Then at the end it turns around and they finally meet each other again were just all screaming!!! Such a good show!
I love how it start and end, I just do t like how much they push these two so far away in to other relationship just to break this new relationship to get them back together. Either they dont get both in new realationship or they take time for the character to process. I love the character, but I feel like they are kind of A-hole breaking their previous relationship like that.
After watching the whole series I then went to Merli, which also stars Cuevas. It has two series’ on Netflix and I’ve only got one episode left to watch. Highly recommended.
Bruno & Alex's story ended like a fairytale that I don't want them to mess it up with a second season showing them breaking up or cheating. To me, their story ended so they should have a new storyline and characters. Maybe Bruno & Alex can appear in a cameo showing how they're still together living in the same universe of the new characters! 🤷♂
Overall, I liked the series. I liked the characters of Bruno and Alex. However, I didn't like how they used Ramon and Ibra to fill till the void they were looking for only just to dump them. Ramon and Ibra were just innocent casualties in the emotional games played by Bruno and Alex. Not such a happy ending. I just finished this series last night and I have to decompress a little. That's why I'm adding to my comment. There is a lot of bad behavior in this story: Alex's dad, cheating on his mother with Ramiro, Vero not being honest with Patri about their relationship, in addition to the aforementioned treatment of Ramon and Ibra. And all this bad behavior is okay because Bruno and Alex get together in the end???. The series is about how people look to fill the emptiness they feel without regard for people they hurt along the way, only to apologize and be forgiven. Initially I was smiling, but after some thought, I'm actually sad.
I saw Carlos Cuevas in Merli and loved it. Smiley pales in comparison----sentimental, melodramatic and full of cliches, but I could watch Carlos Cuevas all day every day and never get tired of him. He's a great actor, super-hot with a smile that could light up the world.
I couldn´t agree more with you! Merli sapere aude is I think better and much more deeper and... yeah, deeper and unique, very thought provoking, but I also love Smiley in its own way! Different genres and styles, depends on what you like. But yeah I really fell in love with Carlos when I saw him in Merli for the first time... I mean wow, his smile can really light up the whole world as you said!! He is such a cute puppy dog and a brilliant actor. In Merli, he was bisexual and I am bisexual too and the biggest main character in tv shows are very rarely bisexual so it was really heart warming for me that I could relate to him in that sense. But yeah, I can never get tired of smile - when he smiles he does in genuinely - and his acting skills never stops to amaze me ❤

I really liked this serie but if you watched Merli before this series, then it’s hard to portray Alex with Bruno. In my head it’s still Pol and Bruno
