What makes you think you wouldn’t of been a good NFL QB...I need to hear this?? He got arm talent, can make all the NFL throws and can extend the play, I can go on and I can only think of one thing that someone could knock him on and that’s his size then I say look at Russell Wilson or should I say Doug Floutie and Michael Bishop is a better QB than Floutie.
Nobody held Bishop down in college. The only way that he lost was in shoot outs. He scored points on everybody. He put up four touchdowns in Lincoln against Nebraska in 1997 the national champs. He was the Heisman runner up and is three inches taller than Flutie and is a lot stronger. Better passer and runner than Flutie
He’s in the College Football Hall of Fame and beat the Heisman Trophy winner Ricky Williams 48-7. He was a tremendous college football player. He won 22 games at K-State in just two years. He wasn’t the reason they lost against A&M. They got extremely lucky to win that football game. Bishop was the best option quarterback in Big XII history.
Living in Junction City Kansas via Fort Riley during the 90’s Bishop was a rock star! I was in high school during his heyday. He should’ve won the Heisman Trophy! One of the greatest college football players to ball.
That was amazing. I was at K State when MB was there and his games were the best and most electrifying thing I have ever seen in CFB. Greatest K State QB ever!
@@JohnKurtzShow it’s between him and another school. He guaranteed me 80-100 catches and I’ve been told what he says goes and is the truth. Plus he has insane amount of connections. Only con of his school is that it would be a 45 min drive every day.
Micheal bishop went to my high school I’m at now and he’s tutoring a sophmore QB who has offers from 4 D1 schools and is the 4 ranked QB in Texas for class of 2024 I went to there first game last week and micheal was yelling at our o line to block
Definitely should have won the Heisman. Instead, they gave it to Ricky Williams. The same year that we whooped Texas ass and held him to 41 yards on 20 some carries. That’s when I knew it was politics and money and whoever had the best PR campaign.
It appears to me Michael Vick, QB of the Atlanta Falcons studied his style of play. He also wore the same number as Bishop. Michael Vick has never called Michael Bishop’s name, as I know about! Cam Newton always credits who helped him. I like that about Cam, too.
Hell yeah. Heard about him from a friend. Said K-state has a new quarterback that could stand on the 20 and thrown it through the uprights. I couldn't believe it but then I saw his arm and knew it was true. Bishop was the last of a bread. He was the gun slinger with bravado who could not only throw a dart but run right over your ass. He had the right stuff. A cock stud who had the right to strut. That may not be wise but he had every right to think, to know he was better than you.
Except for KS all of those guys came after Bishop. Bishop was jumped by Tom Brady on the Patriots depth chart. If he goes to the Eagles Andy gets a super bowl a lot sooner.
Watching how excited the BYU +3 schools are to join the Big12, I hope BY puts tons of emphasis on the teams' excitement to be a part of the group. Unfortunately SDSU doesn't seem excited. Utah doesn't want to be here. Pass.
Who is better than this guy? Second in the Heisman Trophy in 1998...could have easily taken home the hardware because K-State beat Texas that year 48-7. The Heisman Trophy winner from that year lost by 41 points to this guy and his team. That is unheard of to pull off that kind of miraculous feat. Michael Bishop deserves your full respect.
Tommie Frazier couldn’t throw the football like Michael Bishop could. Plus they are very comparable in terms of talent. If you look at that throw against Ohio University there might be a handful of guys that have ever played the game that could make the throw that Bishop made in that game. Second in the Heisman Trophy for K-State. Keep that in mind

Because of the era if it was post 2012 he easily be a first round pick because back then teams wanted pocket passers and teams really didn't know how to use them efficiently yet
@bigjonh444 Randall Cunningham was about a decade earlier and was still mostly a pocket passer that ran occasionally. Donavin McNabb and Bishop played each other in the Fiesta bowl, and Kstate won 35-17. They were by far an anomaly and not the rule. Both Bishop and McNabb were drafted, but McNabb was used more extensively as he was more a passing qb than running qb than Bishop. Bishop was also drafted to New England where Tom Brady took the starting spot right after Bledsoe, again, because New England favored the pocket passing qb. It was very rare to ever see running/duel threat qbs get drafted or used extensively the NFL at that time, though that seemed to be the start of the change of mindset. Not long after, Michael Vick came in, and with the success of him and McNabb, I think that led to more acceptance of mobile and running QBs.
@@trevorthiessen6317 McNabb was terrible at passing. Running was his strength. He threw a lot of passes in the dirt. He only excelled as a passer under Reid. I tried to be a McNabb fan in college but he just couldn’t throw the ball.
