Millions around the world have already watched his TV programmes and bought all his books, his knowledge has been well shared with the people of this world, its a shame other people of this planet seem intent on destroying it for the sake of money though.
Neanderthal Outdoors UA-cam is free and also an excellent advertisement for his books, tv shows and personal training courses along with an great stream of income if it’s done well and frequently, frequency being the most important of those 2, a handful of 2-4min videos each year isn’t enough though.
Ray!!!! The world (UA-cam) Needs Ray Mears... I grew up on you. Watching with my dad and two brothers. You'd always be in the back of our minds while camping deep in the Wicklow mountains.
I miss your program on tv Mr Mears. Because of you i started to love bushcraft and it never left that feeling. Thank you! Greetings from The Netherlands 🇳🇱
PLS RAY, it would be awesome if you of course have the will for it, to create more of the old kind of bushcraft/survival videos that were just so awesome! Blessings Ray, cheers!
No one ☝️ will ever replace or match him he is one of a kind!!!! Not only in bushcraft he is an artist and a master at his art second to none !! He’s a legend now and forever his voice alone puts people in a trance. Even I play his videos every night before I go to sleep 😴 there’s no one man like this..thanks to this man I feel confident I can go to any part of world and survive off of his bushcraft. I’m sorry but this man has done bushcraft from brutal jungles deserts and mountains snow heat rainstorms with all do respect to others posting there’s on you tube this man has traveled the world doing this his intire life.. but there is a couple who has my heart they are wonderful the man is jake mace I’ve learned a lot in martial arts and peace. Him and his wife are great they are now living off grid👍
Hey Ray! I regularly snowshoe or ski into lakes here in Canada to do just what you teach. As a forester/geologist/woodsman, that's how I live. But in this increasingly urbanized world, people are needed to teach such things, so kudos to ya' there Bud. Another aspect of outdoor life is making your own gear (snowshoes, skis, knives, packs etc) and a man can develop a real appreciation of nature by making his own gear. Of course, if it fails, you can't point fingers at anyone else. I know you make stuff, and as a way of self-reliance, perhaps there should be some sort of contest, or comparison for bragging rights, as your students display their home made gear. Birch bark what-nots (boxes, match safes, knife sheaths etc), rawhide thingys (snowshoes, laced chairs, moccasin soles etc), canoe paddles, canoes, ash pack baskets, and the list could go on forever. Discourage the use of plastic. Encourage the use of canvas and leather! I have sometimes looked at the contents of a man's pack to determine how good a woodsman he is, surreptitiously of course. To really impress me, I need to see stuff he made himself in there. There's a video in there of some sort, as folks display their Kuksas and home built stuff, at the Ray Mears International Home made Bush Gear Annual Extravaganza, and being Canadian, I have to strongly suggest that beer be involved. And maple syrup. Funny how a wonky pair of snowshoes can look better when beer is applied...and maple syrup just generally improves life all round. Incidentally, on my last ice fishing trip I caught an 18" lake trout. I ate it, With beer.
As a long-time proponent and advocate of responsible, low-impact, recreational camping on Crown land here in Canada, I absolutely love the conservationist message towards the end of this video. It perfectly expresses what I think is our best hope for presevering wilderness. Thank you, - Martin
Ray Mears is the man. 🔥I haven't half missed him on TV. 📺Maybe we'll get to see some courses as they unfold on here, and get to learn some things along the way. 🏕️🤗💎
Ray looks a lot older in this. That’s odd as I’ve been watching him for 30 years and I personally haven’t aged a bit during that time. Okay, the mirror says I’m lying. Ray is a treasure. So much respect for the man.
You lucky lucky gentleman sir, been so long since been somewere so remote. Yes i also would like to see much more Ray, as this sort of information is getting rare and it's something we should all know, i would cut of one of my toes to get the opportunity to do something like this
Wow, this video was shot and edited so beautifully, props to the production team! It's my absolute dream to one day attend a Woodlore exhibition with Ray Mears... maybe when I win the lottery :P
What a stunning place. I wish I was of the means to take part in a course like this. I'd better have a rummage down the back of the sofa. Mora videos please Ray.
Great movie. A perfect tutorial for someone like me. A nice place to stay in it forever. Best regards and welcome to the English forests of My Self Bushcraft.
Ray I'm looking for a video of yours where you built a round house by digging into the ground and setting up a hexagonal shaped roof support please upload this great video
Ah man a miss seeing you on the TV a miss your old programs, a love bushcraft, I am starting my own channel with my 9yo son, I am off work alot with bowel cancer so spending the time with my son camping ect, so thought I would make a channel to possibly teach some people that don't know bushcraft that much, I am also a new scout leader in Clackmannan scouts, and I am loving it as they don't know alot of bushcraft or knive sharping ect, my new channel is. techno outdoors, Please jump on when a put vids up and possibly give me some tips that I could be doing wrong, take care and all the best to u and your family Thanks again Tony Gillespie
Man I would love nothing more to attend your course but I'm all the way in Hawaii and honestly since I moved to Hawaii practicing bushcraft here is almost next to impossible
There are literally thousands of bush craft you tubers now.. But in the beginning ,there were only two, fonts of knowledge, Mors Kochanski and Ray Mears. . plus the military. ,
Disclaimer if you don’t survive the trip please be aware ray will teach the group to utilise every part of you including turning you into a fine bone cutlery set
Yeah.......... I miss Ray doing his videos and TV presentations. Now that Mors has passed on, and Malcolm Douglas, Jack Absolom, Harry Butler, Les Hiddins, and all the other greats gone or retired, there is a huge black hole in the wilderness world. So much depth and character gone; replaced by the synthetic and disposable shallowness of PopCulture trash..............leaving us waiting patiently, for the new human renaissance. Hope to see you again soon Ray.....
I wish Ray would post more often. He has so much knowledge that should be passed on to millions around the world.

The best 5 min I've seen on UA-cam since your BBC replays. You're so good at delivering the message. Good to see you back on screen.

Hi Ray
"the environment loses more energy to the solar system than it receives"
that's interesting, i never thought of this, or thought of it in that way.
Super Channel..
When the SHTF I hope , that for whatever reason I'm stood next to this Man...
Man I would love nothing more to attend your course but I'm all the way in Hawaii and honestly since I moved to Hawaii practicing bushcraft here is almost next to impossible

Does Ray live in Canada all year?
God, I miss Ray on tv.
Ray over Bear any day
As much as i love watching ray and learning from him unfortunately im not a millionaire!
There are literally thousands of bush craft you tubers now.. But in the beginning ,there were only two, fonts of knowledge, Mors Kochanski and Ray Mears. . plus the military. ,
Scott Roberts the masters of bush
And who was asked to teach the military?
@@petehilll9492 That would be John and Geri McPherson in the US.
www.prairiewolf.net/special_forces.cfm
There was a few more than that
In the beginning was Andrea Mercanti with the book "manuale del trapper" (the trapper manual) (edited Longanesi 1976)
💓👍👍
Hey Ray did you teach a man called Paul on that trip
Réf.! ;)
Not one woman in this, surely there are some, somewhere, that would take up this challenging experience...
Disclaimer if you don’t survive the trip please be aware ray will teach the group to utilise every part of you including turning you into a fine bone cutlery set
i'm ok with this 😄
I know more than him.
