  • One of the popular traditional soups from Nigeria. Bitterleaf is native to the easterner states of Nigeria .
    The regular method of cooking this soup is with coco yam, which is cooked, pounded in a mortar and added as a thickener to the soup. This recipe will show you how to use the coco yam flour instead, you get the same result. The coco yam make the cooking time faster.

    Yummy. You didn't add the bitter leaf on time. Won't it be hard? It is good to add it on time sis.

      Thanks for your question. However, I used already-soaked and frozen bitterleaf, so the texture was already softened.
