Had something similar happen. The lady (driving) kept screaming at me I put her kids in danger. When the cop issued HER the ticket for reckless driving and fault for the accident he filed a report and Child Protective Services followed up. They contacted me and I was asked to file an affidavit.

In Atlanta, a car cut off my uncle's vehicle, then they flashed a gun to try to intimidate him. So he calmly flashed his police badge and watched them look terrified and speed away. My uncle had fought in Vietnam. He thought the whole thing was hilarious.

My older brother and I were walking one night and a guy stepped out with a knife and said "GIMME YOUR WALLETS!" My brother said "fine, come get it". The guy said "I'm not kidding around! I live near a truck stop diner…BEST food in world. As a woman I often meet the drivers and talk over coffee. #1 complaint is cars driving in front of them and brake checking on interstate. These brake checkers are always looking for a payout. A highway trooper lives next to me and says patrol ALWAYS cites the brake checker…including arresting them for dangerous driving and tows their cars! 👏

29:33 That isn’t a truck. That’s a farm tractor. The brake checker was angry that a farm vehicle was on the road. There is a longer version that shows the tractor pulling a farm wagon and both vehicles have orange triangles displayed so they are legally allowed to be on the road.

Where I live if someone road rages and exits the vehicle with any type of weapon, they are free range and you are legally allowed to ensure they aren’t a threat to you or your family(swing first, last laugh.)
3:02 The bicyclist was right and the entitled drivers were wrong. The bicyclist could take up the full lane legally. A bicyclist has the same rights and responsibilities as a car does. I worked at a district court for three years. In that time I saw bicyclists come in crying about tickets for blowing stoplights and stop signs and motorists come in complaining about citations for illegally passing a bicyclist and harassing a bicyclist who took the whole lane. Particularly at a stop sign, if a bicyclist is turning left, they SHOULD take the whole lane. My judges tried to educate the people who got citations but most were so entitled that they didn’t listen. They got no sympathy from the judges. The ones who listened, tried to educate themselves and actually learn from the experience were the ones who got citations either reduced or dismissed. Even if there is a bike lane, they are often unsafe and a bicyclist isn’t required to use it. If a bicyclist is turning left, they are REQUIRED to get out of the bike lane and get in the leftmost travel lane to make their turn. If there is a right turn lane and they are going straight, a bicyclist is REQUIRED to use the general travel lane and they SHOULD take the full lane. This is from my states drivers handbook. It’s available online and anyone can look up their state laws regarding how a bicyclist should behave.

You're right, but the cyclist is also in the wrong. They have the same rights, but must also abide by the same laws. They cannot impede the flow of traffic. Most states, the cyclist would receive a ticket since it was a single lane in both directions and he was traveling well below the posted speed limit. I understand two rights don't make a wrong, but calling the drivers entitled and not the rider is very disingenuous. The turn was something else entirely.

@@breedlofamyou're about 80 shades of wrong there about a ticket. Even with a "minimum speed requirement" (speed LIMIT is irrelevant, nothing says you MUST do the speed limit), bicycles are exempt from that law. They're also exempt from having to wear the DMV orange triangle.
Do what the OP says, and educate yourself on the law...ALL of it, not just what you think applies.
(NOTE: MOST cities forbid riding a bike on sidewalks; my city is different, it's allowed, but when I have to be in the road, I will be. The street I live on, for example, has no sidewalks. )
The driver's license should be taken away forever from every "brake checker" and give them at least a year in prison. What they are doing is life threatening. It's reckless endangerment.

OK but why ride someone's bumper. Slamming brakes then yeah that isn't good. But a brake tap usually puts said car a few car lengths back. And then if they get back on bumper they get another tap. I saw something like the angry guy who walked into the poll. I was in a bad neighborhood in north Philly and guy walking across the walkway just giving my the hardest look at staring like whole way across the street, what he didn’t realize was they were doing work on the side walk and had removed drainage grate. He put his whole leg into and fell right into it. The two guys with died laughing, I got to make sure he was ok and the dude actually apologized to me and said he was just messing around with the staring. We all had a pretty good laugh and everybody was ok. This was in the late 90s so I didn’t have cameras yet.

Same penalty should apply for tailgating. Really dangerous especially in the winter on icy roads. Even in good weather there is no reason to ride and inch away from another vehicle’s rear bumper. Tailgating and not using a turn signal are my two major peeves while driving.

I wonder what the outcome was for the guy who pointed his firearm at the motorcyclist who blocked him and appeared to be reaching for a weapon. Kinda a tough situation to judge in the moment.
Happened in Virgina Beach. Both were detained at the scene but no arrests were made.
Regarding the bike at the beginning, Safety outweighs convenience .If they know the road creates a condition where it is unsafe to allow motorists to pass, or unsafe for them to remain in the bike lane/shoulder, or if they need to prepare for a left turn, then they are in the right morally, as well as (in most states) legally. And most likely, they'll get out of the way at the earliest safe opportunity for them to do so.
Plus, this is at most a minute or two delay, probably less. Not the end of the world, they're going to wait at least that long for a stoplight

Just FYI, bikes in the street are legal in all 50. And there's no requirement to hug the curb. Some states use the caveat "as far right as practicable", which means safe to do. It's not safe to hug the curb where you could get a pedal strike that would launch you to your death under the next car.

One ends up squished because they're too damn stupid to admit roads are made for motorized vehicles and the other goes to prison for being careless while operating a motorized vehicle. Prison sucks. America has a behavior problem. When law enforcement arrives, give them the memory card from your dash camera. They will place it into an evidence bag and will analyze it....ALL OF IT. In many states, Road Rage is now a Felony crime that truly carries a prison sentence and a Felony conviction. Also in many states, introducing a firearm in the commission of Road Rage is an additional Felony. Most road rage offenses are committed by people between 25 years and 38 years of age, with a little percentage sway either direction. Most are men, and usually involve someone who cannot control their anger or rage, or presents themselves as an "Alpha Male". This is still not an affirmative defense if you are arrested for Road Rage; you will still be charged. Passing a car and then pulling in front of it, or cutting it off to bring it to a stop is now considered Abduction in many states, including here in Virginia. To commit the Felony crime of Abduction, you DO NOT have to take someone or kidnap a person; simply cutting them off, placing your vehicle in front of theirs and preventing them from leaving is enough to find you guilty of Abduction, a Felony. Intentionally ramming another car with your vehicle because you are angry can be charged as Felony Vehicular Assault, or Felony Aggravated Assault (your vehicle makes if Aggravated). Throwing any object, such as a bottle, at another moving vehicle in most states is charged as "Throwing a Missile at a Moving Vehicle", and is also a Felony. If you find yourself involved in a Road Rage incident, if you safely can, begin recording with Facebook Live. Even if they get your dash cam, they CAN NOT delete any video recorded on Facebook Live, and Law Enforcement WILL retrieve it. Be safe, and remember, ALWAYS RECORD.

I have a simple solution for tailgaters. I hit my 4ways and slow to a speed that makes the tailgaters distance a sare following distance, roughly 1 car lenght per 10 miles per hour (which is still too close. Think 9 seconds is too close). Yes i back up traffic when that jackass behind me endangers me and mine.

Since the pandemic I have seen a lot more left lane lurkers, the ones that drive in the left-most lane on highways under the speed limit. If you impede traffic in this manner you should be charged with an offence.
In most states that is considered aggressive driving.

Looks like Thru traffic had green light, she didnt have a left turn only green light so thru traffic and right turn traffic has right of way not left hand turners= she was wrong. also she turned left when she couldnt even see the right turning traffic because of the cars stopped in the intersection. You dont proceed when you cant see if it is clear.

I was driving a big rig in LA California, folks out there seem to think it's a good idea to stomp their brakes in front of big rigs, when it happened to me I tried to switch lanes, but caught the corner of their car, it was according to the eye witness a perfect pit maneuver, the eye witness was a cop

It's unique and hilarious considering I'm a 250lb 6ft1in veteran, I mean, I can look pretty mean. I got into a situation last month, a guy riding my ass, I stopped so he could go around and he stopped behind me, I got out, teenager. I scared the living shit out of him with my sgt voice. I made a 17 year old kid cry just yelling at him and making him feel stupid. God bless my 20 years of training, worth that one moment. Ahhh memories.

In LA I had a car try to break check me on the on ramp, on my motorbike. I stopped with an inch to spare, and which time he got out and started screaming at me. I waited for him to take off and then broke the drivers side mirror off his car. I took the next exit, waited for him to go by, caught him and broke the other mirror off too. Road rage doesn’t work, and it makes you look stupid.

I've been driving for over 35 years here in Norway, and I've driven all over Europe. Road rage isn't a thing at all here, I've never seen anything worse than people showing each other the middle finger.
That is because you live in a civilized, first-world country (as the term "first-world" has come to be understood...which is different from the original definition), instead of in a country with a violence-soaked culture. I envy you.
Here in Hawaii we have one million people living on one island. We are the aloha state. We’re kind to each other…allowing folks to merge, we change lanes by pointing to which lane he wants. We back off and let him in. We have six lane traffic and I’ve never heard a horn honk. Just don’t drive as if you own the entire road. Be respectful…allow others to come into lanes; allow cars to come from access roads. IT’S not hard to share the road! What a bunch of entitled idiots who won’t let someone merge or change lanes!!!
