You can create and do anything you set your mind to. Follow the dream, forever!
Thankyou! 🎠
LOVED this so freaking much
[Edit] "Buddy" was so right about you. being honest and vulnerable is what makes your art so good. i feel heard whenever i watch your videos
Thank you so much, it's really nice to hear 🧡
This is dope, I enjoyed your style. Always a great message for artists
Thankyou 🧡 love your account name, relateable 😊
This video gave me a spark of creative lightening, the way you put it together just scratches an itch in my brain and inspires me to create. I’m definitely following you to see what comes next. (And btw, congrats on picking the superset back up even when we're not on schedule anymore, I finished G in December, and I just posted H a few days ago! We got this!!)
@@kyliefrom06 thankyou for sharing, it means alot. And same to you on picking it back up, I've been enjoying the journey/detours
@@narikamckenziehey, detours are fun! Usually makes your art better in the long run. 🤍
THANK YOU! That's just what I needed to hear.... I've saved this video so I can keep reminding myself of why I tread the path I'm on... Beautifully presented and very relatable! ♥
@@ooakleaf thankyou! So nice to hear 🧡
This is what I needed to hear today- before I sit down to keep working on my ep. so inspiring, thank you ✨ I’m so glad you took that class!!!
Thankyou! I really appreciate the encouragement. Good luck with your work today! 💖
:) What a beautiful piece of art, I love your messaging.
Thank you so much 💫
What a cool video!!! Love your art. This relates so much to my current writing, I realized only yesterday that as I was writing songs I would step back into the third person out of fear of relating the lyrics I had written to my current life and having to confront uncomfortable emotions. Only now am I realizing that the whole purpose of art is to confront and acknowledge our emotions and that the release is so much better when you’re honest with yourself. Keep doin what you’re doin!!! Love to see what you got coming down the line :)
@@mrblobifier thankyou! It means alot. Also I only started listening to the audiobook yesterday but rick Rubin's book the creative act-a way of being is really helpful for this, particularly for song writing practice, he talks specifically about the thing you just expressed, definitely recommend.
Wow, your content is so cool, I like the way you cut the video! :D I relate to your message, take time, and do it.
@@cloudyrainee thankyou so much 🧡

Subscribing on principle alone
"I don't think art can ever be realized alone."
Welp, there's my exit.
@@johndoe-rq1pu I'm curious how you feel about this? I'm interested in discussing this idea. I myself am someone who's work is always made alone and often not seen by people, I've become interested in the ways ideas have evolved when sharing them, even just in discussion with one person. I believe in the idea of making work for yourself and not an imagined audience, but also think there is an added layer for ourselves to our work when we find out we aren't alone in what we are expressing. I'd love to hear how you feel about it.
@@narikamckenzie I've encountered roughly three types of people when sharing art: One who will tell you that even the rag you use to clean your brushes is actually modern art and any minute you're going to be famous etc, and they're probably well-meaning but they aren't good enough at acting to be convincing; One who thinks you're an amazing artist as long as you're painting their fence or fixing their powerpoint and not actually doing art; and One who is just delighted to tell you how you're wasting your time.
I'm sure there are artists who have found helpful and supportive people and people who have found artists whose work enriches their lives--that's probably the only way it would be worthwhile, I certainly get no joy from adding to the stacks--but I wouldn't even know where to begin looking except in cheesy movies.
@@johndoe-rq1pu I understand that, and recently I have had the experience of feeling like I rediscovered photography for myself where the process of going out and seeing things became the art for me more so than the end result, but in sharing some recent work and having connected with people over it the work itself has evolved for me. I think being the person who tells someone else their work means something to you is also part of making art, I think letting other people know their work resonates with you, that they're not just adding to the stacks, ends up offering you something as well as them. That was my experience with joining the writing class and I had intended to be an anonymous observer, if I hadn't put myself out there I would have missed the inspiration that came from it and the experience of making the work that has followed. Don't get me wrong, definitely feel like I'm adding to the stacks alot of the time, but I don't know how to do anything else 🫠 You don't know who might need your work till you put it out there.
@@narikamckenzie Glad that you've had so many positive experiences with making and sharing your art.
That’s a pretty good video 😊😊 grind it out
