*The jaguar:* _okay, the guys are not gonna believe it, but I think I found an alien in jaguar robes, this is way weirder than average uncanny valley stuff_
Using life-like robotic animals to get up close to the real ones is a fascinating side to wildlife study and photography. I imagine that there must be countless numbers of untold tales of unexpected losses to obtain just a few minutes of usable footage👍👍🙂
There are ways to make a robot move in a natural manner using a not that complicated simple neural network. I like the spy robots. They accomplish their job nicely. Each one is an oeuvre d'art by itself!
It honestly seems like of all this footage 1 shot was from the robot, and basically all other footage was completely disparate and had nothing to do with other shots... Like the jaguar jumping and the capybara fleeing for example. It's all just completely different footage.
@@sansclone1874 we know, but they still use shots from other videos that had nothing to do with what was currently taking place. Like the one where the 2 jaguars are fighting, I'm pretty sure that video is old
This is how the uncanny valley started for humans I think. At some point aliens made uncanny spy humans that just stood there, watching and uploaded it to alien UA-cam
But the same lions, jaguars and tigers can't tell when a female is pretending to be in heat so the male does not notice she has cubs that he can kill? (In heat the female releases many hormones that make her scent different)
"Interesting question! If curiosity didn’t kill the real cat, maybe the robotic one will just glitch out instead. 😂 What do you think its biggest challenge will be?"
Beats me why these guys think a human smelling contraption will ever be mistaken for an animal it looks like. We tend cater for animals with items catering to our limited senses and think they function or see the world like us, stupid!
They should really have a second camera from on the other eye to even things out. The poor robotic Jaguar does look like it has some form of eye infection.
We work with some of the best animatronic & robotic engineers from around the world along with model-makers to create the most realistic Spy Creatures. Then the producers at John Downer Productions have an academic background in Zoology or Biology and work with other scientists/researchers who are experts in their field of work regarding the specific animals we film.
It's like a modern romantic comedy where the girl is rude initially to show cautious interest... The music is fantastic for creating the drama that evaporates at the end...
Ikr, and they should make the T. Rex true to life in terms of size and make it similar to the Prehistoric Planet T. Rex that way it’ll look paleontologically accurate.

They can be. This is a result of melanism. Melanism in jaguars is inherited by a dominant gene, which leads to a production of dark melanin in the coat, but most jaguars look like the ones in our video.
Sometimes we do but it depends on the Spy Creature we're building and whether there is enough space to include multiple cameras in a small head, especially when the difference in viewpoint from left to right is small. However, for something like the Spy Dolphin or Spy Whale which has eyes on different sides of the head then we did put 2 cameras in the eyes.

Never change the dead eyes of the robots. I love them so much.
This made me laugh out loud 😂😂😂
@boardst8086 haha I don't even remember making this comment :P
This guy deserve way more subscribers.
Each videos are awesone 👌👍
Couldn't agree more. Spread the word as we want to reach 1 million subscribers ASAP!
I totallys agree
If you pitch up any big feline fighting they do sound like a house cat.
Time to break up the fight with a giant spray bottle.
Plot twist: The 2 big Jaguars are robot cats
Jaguars are just so beautiful and majestic and powerful it's not even fair!! 😭
The V8'S sound nice too lol.
I find these videos (robot vs real) fascinating.
I think the reason jagbot wasn't attacked is cause it didn't smell like the real thing.
What an amazing video with beautiful creatures!
You are very kind. They are indeed beautiful creatures.
I was so worried for the lil guy 😆 Great shot mate
It feels like a bunch of different footage of different jaguars blended together.
Oh it definitely is…
These are nothing short of incredible. Thank you!
Glad you like them! Thank you

fantastic animation in eyes and nose! Walking just passable
Me: jaguars, do you know how to cat? You sound more like a dog to me.
Jaguars: it’s not funny
Yoo this one the cutest robots! 🐆
So why do the animals never end up trying to kill the spy cubs?
The robot probably smells different from other creatures.
thank you
¡Qué impresionante es la diversidad de especies en nuestro planeta!
It honestly seems like of all this footage 1 shot was from the robot, and basically all other footage was completely disparate and had nothing to do with other shots... Like the jaguar jumping and the capybara fleeing for example. It's all just completely different footage.
In other words most of the video is fake.
Bro.... Let's say that the said Jaguar chase after them.... You can't expect a detailed wide shot including all of them in same frame....
There were two shots from the robot, with the capybaras and the jaguar. And then the shots of them looking at the robot. So it's all good.
@@sansclone1874 we know, but they still use shots from other videos that had nothing to do with what was currently taking place. Like the one where the 2 jaguars are fighting, I'm pretty sure that video is old
they usually splice together footage to tell a story to connect with the casual viewer more.
the robo camera cub's reaction shots 🤣
robot spy jaguar cub looks so cute
These incredible robotic critters crack me up! 😅
Its like when humans are like wow this guy is strange 😂
😂 them animals are not stupid they see that android eye
Jaguar brawl tactic: immediately flop onto back.
I bet because the jaguar did not smell flesh it did not attack the robot.
yo where what my friends doing here???
It said HUH 😂
the robot looks bad asf 😭😂
Those are some chonky wild jaguars.

We're so glad spy jaguar survived!
Cats have a great sense of smell and the jaguar just knew that the robotic cub had a foreign scent
But the same lions, jaguars and tigers can't tell when a female is pretending to be in heat so the male does not notice she has cubs that he can kill? (In heat the female releases many hormones that make her scent different)
They couldn’t find a better one? lol
And spray some scent! That way it’s a lot more real!

I just discovered these and they might be my favorite from the informational commentary of the video and the engagement in comment section - like gold
You should give a robot kitten to a house cat who has a litter but put her scent or…urine on it?

I get Skynet vibes when looking at that eye :D
These little spy animals are great and all but when will there be the well awaited spy t- rex? The elephants and hippos will be baffled!
If dinosaurs were never extinct, John Downer would have produced spy dinosaurs to see how they interact with the real dinosaurs.
