Georg, I would like to know from which drummers from the past or present times you learned the most? Which drummers do you admire? Or do you like to develop primarily your own style, without "leaning" patterns from others?
The two drummers that have influenced me the most are Vinny Appice and Matt Cameron. Outside of rock I would mention Dave Weckl, John Blackwell, Omar Hakim and Gary Husband. Of course there are many others as well... I think my own style comes from what I have learned from those players, combined with who I am as a person; my taste, my physical capabilities and limitations etc. Thanks for a good question!
I don't want to say I have a favorite song because this album is fantastic from start to finish but this would be the front runner for sure.
