I never get bored watching your portrait drawings, I watch in repeat mode endless times because the artwork the music strokes highlights everything is perfect. You are the best portrait artist if you ask me. You know where to stop the drawing. Please add more !! 🙏
Amazing! The friendship the artist developed with his material/tools and paper is just amazing! This shouldn't take away anything from his observational skill of course. What a delight watching this clip 👑
Exquisite work. For new artists, I tell them that a lot of this work is the result of knowledge. The more you learn, the better you'll get. It can take years, but is so worth it.
@@VitruvianStudio Materials. Materials are making the biggest difference here. Not to detract from talent, practice and knowledge, any portrait artist needs that. Material choices you're making are outsourcing the "heavy lifting." Again, you're smart and aesthetic in manipulating them, so it's not devoid of merit. If you feel I'm making a disservice, try drawing on a plain A4 with just a 2B. No graphite powder, no shading stamps, no charcoal, no brush. Shade by crosshatching the muscles. That purist attempt will show you your medium dexterity. Where you stand: what part is you and what part are materials. I get you are result oriented. The point is to get at that result without a material advantage. That would be something more special.
I slowed the speed down to watch the techniques in greater detail. Choice of subject, choice of tools, rendering, methodology: this is like a Masters in Fine Arts course, thank you
So realatic. I want to draw as you~!! Recently i also opened the channel that draw portrait using colored pencil. I always get inspiration through your artworks. I always cheering you.😀
Sumit, I only record these drawings in time-lapse, so there is no full length video. If you want to see the whole process, we have an online course for that... and a 15% percent discount for our UA-cam audience!
You are a man with magical hands. He's really good at drawing. It's such a nice picture. I respect them in many ways. I'm an artist, but you're so great. ❤️ very good!
Truly and utterly amazing! Extreme talent on show here.......anyone want to buy some pencils, paint etc..........no longer needed after seeing this!! 🥴
I have learned a lot from your time lapse videos... they have been so helpful and I wish there was an affordable online class for me lol... You are truly gifted and talented... I have always loved the first video you did with commentary, it helped me understand a lot about portraits and all... do more videos like that. From Zambia with love.
Beautiful work! Thank you for sharing. I learn something new everytime i watch your videos. I took your course and it took me to a new level of portrait drawing. Thank you.
this was a great motivation to me which says #1.spend some time #2.notice on little things #3.be slow #4.add more texture #5.you will receive what u want
@@VitruvianStudio I'm starting with the drawing basics, purchased last night. Lol. Will progress to cast drawing then onto the portrait. Have you ever thought of offering bundled course pricing? I know the value of these courses warrant the prices and are totally worth it... just curious as to bundle pricing. I'm excited to get started. Also...I know everyone progress at their own pace and their results are a reflection of their individual commitment to their craft, but I think it might be inspirational to newbies like myself to see maybe a gallery of past customer's work? Great content and I'm thankful I found it finally Lol. Cheers!!!
Your work is absolutely amazing...It appears as though you did the entire block-in of portrait from sight, without any comparative measuring of proportions or use of rythm guides like Reilly or Loomis...was wondering how long it took you to get to a level where you can correctly measure by sight the proportions and features of a portrait at any angle. A friend of mine who is also a very fine portrait artist said he committed himself to drawing 3, 20 minute portraits a day 7 days a week (from life or photo reference)and it took him about a year before he could capture facial proportions without any measuring methods..Would love to hear your thoughts
Beautifully captured. 09:18 for a second I thought you were using 2 pencils at once, but realised you have been holding one of them between your teeth, and you are just out of shot at the time 😂😂😂
Such a finely detailed rendering. She seemed to become younger as the time flew by. I can see how her cheeks would be a challenge, but I am surprised by the nose. In the photo, Julia's nose seemed to be much more gracefully lined, but the beautiful rendition has given the nose a somewhat bulbous bottom, thicker and wider. I am sure that it is a case of the photo being too small for me to see, but it seemed to be a prominent difference. Or is that part of the baby fat issue?
Thanks, Tom. You might be right about the nose. No drawing is flawless, and exaggerating the volume of the nose is a mistake I've made before... among many others.
And I have also noticed that about her mouth. In the reference photo her upper lip comes in-line to the earlobe but in the artistic picture it's going down (falling down), giving a look of sadness and aged. Nevertheless, it's brill. Like you said no art is flawless. Do you not measure the features of the face?
