Hi I finally got my laminate sheet with my stickers to cut. Since I didn't have the kind of tape you used I used my white looking paper tape from the hospital 😊 it works.
Hi Bev! So happy to hear you got the paper tape to work for you! 👏😊 Great idea! I know how frustrating it can be at first, I wasted supplies when I started. I hope you enjoy sticker making!! Have fun & thanks for watching!
Hi MyaoChan! Thanks for watching. So on the machine itself I have it set to “Custom” then in Cricut Design Space I use the “Heavy Cardstock” setting for EVERYTHING 😂 I also set that to “more” pressure vs just the default option. Hope this helps! 👍
Here’s a time saver! Stick the matte tape on the sensor light on the cricut! Saves a lot of time!! I also had to do a double layer of tape on the light when I put laminate.
Do you ever find that adding the Avery laminating sheets causes your stickers to look scratched? These are the laminating sheets I am currently using and they always appear to be scratched! Great video, just subscribed :)
I have just recently started noticing this too!! I wasn’t sure if I just got a bad pack of sheets or if it was the ruler 📐 I was using to slide the laminate on the stickers. It’s frustrating 😓 But I’ve realized that when I sell stickers with the “scratches” as “B grade” I’ll get reviews from ppl saying they don’t see what’s wrong with them. 🤷🏽♀️😅 Thanks for subscribing! 💖
Hi for the life of me I can't get my cricut explore air 2 to read the black marks. I don't have the tape you have I did color on top of the laminate sheet with the black marker. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated thank you
I’ve only ever tried using the scotch brand magic matte tape so I can’t speak for others but if you don’t want to buy a bunch of it someone here in the comments suggested putting the scotch matte tape on the sensor light itself.
As for the cylindrical surfaces it really depends on the curves in your design, for me some of my stickers got a little crinkled more toward the neck of the bottle.
Hmmm 🤔 Did you upload your design as a “print and cut” file in the Cricut design space? And is your file a .png image? (As in it has no solid background).
so, the cricut calibrates correctly and it can read the sensor marks when I put the laminate sheet on the sticker paper because the laminate isn't on the marks directly but when it cuts it, it cuts COMPLETELY off! I don't know what to do anymore its so frustrating
I’ve had this happen recently… Make sure your Cricut Design Space software is updated to the latest version. That helped me, hope it works for you too! 🤞🤞🤞
Just to make sure, are you using the matte tape? And something I tried before the tape that worked was going over the lines with a sharpie. Just use a ruler to make sure the lines are perfectly straight. Hope this helps 🤞
my sticker papers are matte but when i laminated them with the self-adhesive laminating sheet, they became glossy. is there any type of laminating sheet that is matte?
I use that matte sticker paper myself and can guarantee that it is waterproof, I have a video all about it if you'd like to see for yourself: ua-cam.com/video/nocAOmtEZPM/v-deo.html
when i use this specific laminating sheets no matter how much i try to smooth it out there are still ridges that show up in the light. do u have that issue at all?
Sorry for the late response! Are you getting air bubbles? I used to have that problem when I used the roll of laminate. But ever since I got these they’ve worked great for me. I just peel and lay it face down, then my sticker sheet face down. If there’s no air bubbles at that point and you smooth it with a ruler it should be good. I guess you just get a feel for it after a while. I messed up a lot at first 😓 but sold some of the messed up ones as B Grade stickers for a discount on my shop and ppl didn’t seem to mind.
@@keilamarciel funny enough i found that after leaving them overnight most of the little ridges/airpockets that i saw disappeared! i also got a felt ridge squeegee type thing to smooth it out. thanks so much for the video!
Genius worked like a charm x
Yayyy!! Glad it helped! I know it can be so frustrating to deal with that error.

Thank you so much for your hack! You’re the only video that was able to help me cut my stickers again 😫
Oh thanks so much for watching and saying that! I’m so happy this helped you! I remember how frustrating it was before I learned of this too.
Thank you so much for that video!
Glad it helped! 👍👍
Thank you so much for the time at the beginning!
Haha, right? I know I always appreciate when videos have that 😂 Glad it helped!
Hey Keila! I think this video is really helpful! I do have one question though: what setting did you put your Cricut to cut your laminated stickers?

Brilliant! Thanks for sharing! I’ll have to give that a try next 👍👍

Hsve you tried laminating with matte laminating paper?
I have! But I still got the error, so that's why ultimately the tape was the best option for me. Have you had different results with the matte paper?
Very nice hack! So helpful)

Cut the laminated sheet to fit inside the box instead of laminating over it. Also saves laminate
@@mrjoethemiz thank you for helping me
That was a great suggestion from Joe! Hope it helped!
Do you have to use this exact tape? I have wall-safe tape and it's pretty matte but my cricut still can't read the lines
I’ve only ever tried using the scotch brand magic matte tape so I can’t speak for others but if you don’t want to buy a bunch of it someone here in the comments suggested putting the scotch matte tape on the sensor light itself.
@@keilamarciel I do have the Scotch brand and i tried using the trick mentioned but no luck for me. my cricut still doesn't see the lines
do the lamination sheets make the stickers to thick my put on cylinder surfaces (thin metal water bottles) or are they still flimsy?
I have a metal water bottle covered in laminated stickers I've made. It's been over a year that they've been on there and they're still fine 👌
As for the cylindrical surfaces it really depends on the curves in your design, for me some of my stickers got a little crinkled more toward the neck of the bottle.
@@keilamarciel thank you much!!! I've been trying acrylic sprays and I just do not like how they come out. Definitely gunna try laminating after this
@@larzpeterson6471 Hope it all works out how you want! 🍀
Thanks a lot. I want to make my own stickers and laminate.
Glad this helped! Good luck with your stickers Garima 👍
@@keilamarciel Thanks.
great video! do you know why my cricut didnt recognize my actual sticker design to cut and only cut the border? i'm confused
Hmmm 🤔 Did you upload your design as a “print and cut” file in the Cricut design space? And is your file a .png image? (As in it has no solid background).
What setting to do you turn the dial to?
I turn my dial to "Custom" and then use the "Heavy Cardstock" option in the Cricut Design Space. I use that for everything I make with the Cricut.

While I don't know of any matte laminate I can recommend Homsto Matte sticker paper: amzn.to/3nmguRJ
