While training for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Suarez suffered a neck injury, which derailed her Olympic aspirations. An MRI and CAT scan not only revealed a bothersome disc in her neck, but a cancerous growth on her thyroid. Suarez underwent radiation therapy and had her thyroid and several lymph nodes removed. After successful treatment, her thyroid cancer was gone and she eventually began to train again...
that neck injury might have saved her life.

Who else has done what khamzat has? Ive been watching MMA for 15 years and i cant remember anyone coming into the UFC, winning 4 fights (3 in the first round) without ever taking a significant strike. Its hard not to get on the hype train.
Bro this will sound weird, but like a year and a half ago I had this dream. I was chilling on the floor, and Khamzat was by me on the couch gaming on like a PS4. Beside him was this little dark purple monster, like the size of a softball, looked like a dino-demon. I could tell it was real hungry, but he refused to feed it.
As the minutes went by the lil demon's mouth would grow larger and larger, sharp feral fangs ready to devour increasing in size. When it would just get to the point of being a real threat, Khamzat would smash it on its head, and it would reset/get knocked out. I said to him like "WTF is that man?" and he's like "don't worry bratha, iz gud, iz gud", and then the demon gained its wits back, and it happened all over again, and he hammer fist smashed it, and reiterated "brothaaa, no need for scared, heheh". I've had some prophetic dreams in past, I definitely think this was a sign of him being the real deal monster we anticipate.

Not a lot of depth in those divisions unfortunately
Rose has already beaten the other 3 best strawweights at least once. Carla got the title shot without beating Weili, Joanna nor Andrade, barely scrapping by lesser competition. I think Esparza would lose to all of them. Carla is also an extremely favorable matchup for Tatiana. Suarez beating a smaller and physically weaker wrestler is pretty much expected and it doesn't tell me anything about her chances against the best 4 fighters in the division. She doesn't even look like she can make 115 anymore.

Tatiana is awesome, and felt so bad for her being so unfortunate with injuries. Will be at 276, so hoping to see her comeback fight! Hopefully she has a good clear run for a few years, and can get those belts.
She was an excellent addition to Strawweight and when healthy was an absolute wrecking ball down there. To watch her destroy Carla Esparza (who is fighting Rose next) was a testament to how dominant her wrestling is and its a win that has aged well. I have no doubt if she stayed healthy she could have become a champion by now, possibly defended it a few times as well. It would be a tragedy if she never fulfilled her potential to become a champion.

Been waiting for years for Tatiana to return. Age and time is passing but I still believe she is championship mettle. Hope she's able to get the ball rolling soon and heal up and start competing ASAP. She's a big time problem for the Strawweight division and has serious Flyweight potential. Nothing is happening for 2022 with Suarez. Really hoping 2023 is her year.

She has plenty of thoughts on other fighters and can point out their weaknesses. And she gets defensive when her stand up is brought up. And she says that she can beat anyone right now. But she hasn’t fought in almost 3 years and didn’t look great in her last fight.
