Thank you so much! 😊 Between you and me I was quite glad I finally found a use for the bucket of beach sand I've been keeping in my art studio "just in case" lol. But it's been more than a year and the texture is still holding up perfectly!
I really like the result. It's great to have made a wall that can open, so we have the surprise of discovering the interior. Everything is so pretty in it! Thanks for sharing this with us! 💕💕💕💕
I love the exterior of the mouse house with the textured paint! Now I have to go back and watch the whole series to see how you did the roof and the inside. It looks very cozy!!
Thank you so much! It was a real labour of love building this since I had never done anything quite like it before. But now I am totally addicted to quirky and unusual dolls houses because it is just so fun creating your own little world in miniature! I appreciate you taking the time to watch
Thanks a lot! You'll be pleased to hear there is a new big project in the works that I am building from scratch, and I can't wait to fill it with tiny creations!
I think it looks great. The wood beams look good. I'm currently working on a chimney and making faux bricks from a hunk of foam. Awesome, keep the vids coming!!!
Hey that sounds really cool! It's amazing how many ways there are to make fake bricks, stone, and wood. Good luck for your project, I hope it comes out just as you imagine or even surpasses your imagination. Thanks for watching!
Finally you get to see why I was so buzzed about it! Hahaha that was the hardest secret to keep. Thank you so much for sticking with me so patiently through the series. You're an absolute star Maggie 🤗🥂
NESSIE ! THAT IS ADORABLE !!!! MY FAVORITE was THE ROOF!!! Excellent use of materials!!!! I LOVE HOW EVERYTHING CAME TOGETHER! THANK YOU for SHARING!!!
Thanks so much Gretchen, I had been hanging on to that cardboard for the roof for so long because I knew it would come in useful one day. Even better, it looked just how I imagined it would! 😁
Awww thank you so much! Yes the channel is growing pretty fast at the moment, I'm really excited to see so many new subscribers joining the Nessie Monster family! I hope you had the best honeymoon!
Hi, from a fellow Kiwi, miniature UA-camr, although living in England, I’ve come to you from Gretchen’s channel. Look forward to seeing more of you content. We are not quite there yet, but Happy New Year to come. 😊
I just realised that I wasn't subscribed so remedied that, I was sure because I have been hearing about you for ages, thought you were Scottish for ages but I've sorted that and have added you to my list of fellow miniature lovers. This is lovely ❤ I have been using strips of EVA foam to simulate wood for a long time, as, like foam board, they take an impression well, are easy to work with and making medieval buckets etc. uses up a lot of scraps (my favourite thing, being Scottish and grippy with my pennies lol!).
So awesome to hear you are now subscribed! I'm pretty sure you will agree EVA foam is so versatile. In a future Gnomehome update you'll see how I use it to make curved skirting boards and doorframes. Really simple but so much easier and smother than trying to curve card or wood around the corners! And there is absolutely nothing wrong with being grippy with your pennies, in fact I think it adds to the fun and the challenge of doing things for the lowest cost possible. It really makes you think about how you're going to create something. Hey maybe I inherited that gene from my Scottish Granny? lol
I love the textured walls! Great job. 😊
