Hi Jim! Thank you for such a clear explanation! I went to the range and hit solid shots that were so pure! I have been open using a mass swing, I hit the ball bullet straight but not as far as I would like. I was really using my mass to crush the ball!!!! I am 65 and a women and know this is the way for me to go. I have been teaching golf full time since 1989. I played the Women's European Tour for 10 years and won the 1986 Scottish Open. This is a breath of fresh air! Thank you

I watched several of Jim's videos and decided to implement his method to only get AWESOME results! I practiced chip shots first and then went to the range to hit PW and 7i. My dispersion was tight! Hitting a draw became effortless. I went thru about 75 balls and maybe mishit a few. The whole 'sesh' was effortless. The setup works out of the gate, I'm freakin' out on this. Gonna work my way up to driver going thru the bag. Jim you're such a cool cat man! Love the vibes, so mellow: Closed Stance, Weight on Lead Leg, Keep shoulders closed and Swing with a STILL CORE. DUDE YOU ROCK!
    Love from Montreal, Canada

I'm gonna throw in my kudos to Jim. I used massively struggle with over the top. It stunned me when I started trying the swing how hard my former baseball pitcher right side wanted in on the action. It was like watching an autonomous entity activate in my swing. I've been able to slowly shift the balance to my left. Golf is soooo much easier and more fun now. It's legit.

I've improved. Trying to make sure that my left shoulder is coming up instead of left on my downswing. So many ppl. Are trying to convince me to go back into a traditional swing & they're hitting the ball so inconsistently where I'm finishing with superb balance, ball striking, & tight draws all day. Thanks Jim

This swing is legit!!! I use to do remax long drive competitions so have always had a long powerful swing. I started blocking everything right though and wanted to get rid of it. I remember seeing Jim's swing years ago and finally decided to give it a shot. I knew it would shorten my swing by staying still but I am actually hitting it even farther now with a draw. I would definitely join the academy vs teaching myself this swing. Unfortunately I had already purchased another online course that did not work, and I value my marriage. (My wife obviously doesn't understand the feeling of hitting a power draw) Priceless. If you have a steep swing give this a shot, the game will be fun again. My only thought now is start it right because I know its drawing back.

Jim, I have been working with this swing on my simulator for the last few weeks. I have to say, I have never felt such compression on my irons. My ball flight has been a draw , and my ball speed has increased considerably. I have never been a long hitter, but I can see how this swing will give me better distance. My feel is , I set up weight on my left foot and leave it there. The more still I am , the better compression I get. ⛳️

I have been playing around with this for most of the summer with some success. The ball striking is certainly better, but I have been drawing or hooking the ball 30, 35 yards to the left on the range so I have been reluctant to take it to the course. In studying Jim's video I noticed his right arm folds in the backswing where as I have been trying to keep my right arm as straight as possible, using my wrists to cock the club. Once I started consciously folding my right arm on the backswing I started hitting the ball a lot straighter with a tight little draw that Jim talks about. I am really excited about using Jim's method.

Jim, Thanks so much for all your videos. Everything you say makes perfect sense. The thing I still struggle with, however, is that "magic moment" when the swing is for real. Practice swings and most range swings are good, but that very dominant right hand wants to come into my swing when I'm hitting the shot that counts - even though I'm putting it in a subordinate position. This doesn't happen all the time, just when it seems the shot matters most. If you have any ideas about how I can deal with this, let me know. You're set up position and artistic approach to golf has made golf very enjoyable again.

My brain ,when i reach the top of backswing, always tells to my body to reach the ball with my right Hand, but this generate only over the top move. The only way for me Is to think to initiate the downswing with my left hand keeping my backside to target as long as i can. This is absolutely correct. What golfers call right handed clubs are in reality left handed clubs and left handed swing. Also the dominant hand does not like being under the non dominant hand. I used to play tennis and two hands on the racket usually meant backhand with dominant right hand on top. I started playing golf and two hands on the club with dominant side in front and dominant hand in my case the right hand on top, and everyone started claiming that I was left handed. I could hit the ball perfectly well just with my right hand. Eventually they convinced me to switch to so called right handed. It took me months for hands to agree that dominant hands should be in an inferior position. The right hand always wanted to snatch the club out of the left hand. Eventually I learned how to play left handed or what they call in golf mistakenly the right handed. It’s much easier to get left handed than right handed equipment, and people don’t constantly ask me stupid questions about me supposedly being left handed. I am using left handed equipment and swing now but call it right handed and everything is good.

Jim Venetos Golf Academy I’d hope not but alignment would be different to a classical swing. Do you line your feet to the target and then you turn so that your shoulders are closed to the target and the result is a draw back to the target. I suggest that it would help in your videos to show where the target is and how to consistently align so that the result is at the target. The mat is aligned with the camera but you are setting up to hit the ball way right; it would help if you were hitting straight down the camera line.

How does a baseball pitcher throw it straight with the right arm and a body that’s well open at the point of release? Shouldn’t they all miss the plate 10 yards left?

plentyofouts is this before or after they throw out their shoulder from the misuse of their arms?

Jim Venetos Golf Academy Its world class athletics. A shelf life comes with the gig. Unless your suggesting world class performance without a physical cost.

plentyofouts a little leaguer can throw out their shoulder so not sure if you’re choosing the correct example. Try something where both hands are on the implement. If you’re just looking to argue, please move on. What I teach is proven at all levels.

Jim Venetos Golf Academy Not just trolling man. Interested in any different perspective. Appreciate what your saying. Has merit and at least worthy of consideration. I’ve just found that looking at true functional commonalities between the highest level ball strikers is the best way to discover the deepest truths about highest optimal level ball striking. And tremendous rotation (from Hogan, Trevino, Palmer to Dustin Johnson, Garcia, Koepka) seems to practically be an axiomatic fundamental.

plentyofouts high jumpers previously went over the bar belly first. Maybe what the pros are doing isn’t ideal since zero percent of the golf population can replicate it. Try it before you state your case. You’ll thank me.

Question....does the use of bladed irons increase the shot shape?

    • @jimvenetosgolf
      @jimvenetosgolf  4 роки тому +1

1slander1970 first may I adjust your lexicon..blades or blade irons. Second, the difference between blades and perimeter weighted clubs is blades are less forgiving than the others. Other factors effect your shot shape than just the head such as the shaft flex and offset so your question is a bit incomplete.

You didn’t look like you pivoted at the end...it looked like a conventional swing.

Hi, it would be great to see where you are aiming exactly before you pívot round. It looks like you have the club head aiming where you want to go with your shoulders and feet aiming right. It would be great to see this with a long iron and driver too!
