- Here is my first reaction to Acoustic Sounds new Atlantic 75th Anniversary 45RPM vinyl record series. Let's take a look at Charles Mingus: Roots and Blues, John Prine's debut, and Phil Collins: Face Value and see how they look and sound

Thank u,best reviews of these series.
We did't expect anything less.
Congratulations. This Mingus needed beautiful editing. But, don't you wash your new records when they arrive?
I usually spray them off but I wanted to see how they were right out of the sleeve!
And you shouldn't have to wash a new record costing 60 dollars
@@davidlg0478 I had no issue out of the sleeve.
Where all your records flat? Mine were all warped@@bellisariosonic
@@juliosanchez95mine were flat with the exception of a very slight warp with the first Prine record. But it is very slight and doesn’t effect the play so I didn’t return it. How bad were yours? Did you return them?
Blues and Roots was by far my favorite of the three and sounded fabulous but all were great - will say though Phil Collins cut a little hot for my taste
Got my Blues & Roots. Thought it sounded good, not great, especially being a 45. The jacket is fantastic though. Absolutely premium.
I live in Ireland so if I want any of these I have to pay 88 euro, which is about 93 US dollars PLUS postage which makes no sense at all. AP and Chad seem unwilling to come to a sensible arrangement with a European agent for their records. He uses the Ludwig shop but the prices being asked there means there is no discount at all to try and achieve a reasonable price structure. It's a shame as good sounding European titles from Music on Vinyl and Speakers Corner are sold at reasonable prices in the US. What is even more annoying is a number of the titles in the Atlantic series are by European artists. 😮
Learn how to import your own direct from AP I pay £48 each shipped to UK
My first reaction: too fucking expensive
And in France 100 euros……
Wow that is crazy.
Vinyl sucks, CD is superior to vinyl
Right.... LOL if you say so. Intelligent people understand that every album needs to be approached individually. Some recordings sound better on on vinyl some CD. Those of us who have been around music for our entire lives in both recording and listening understand this reality. Thanks for stopping by..
