I love Christmas decor as much as the next guy, but the fact that almost all Lowes stores are already replacing all their Halloween stock and it's not even October? That's the prime month that people buy stuff, I don't understand it

Last I checked Halloween industry was over 9 billion dollars. And it is still growing. But retail does not see that as much... Because Christmas time has been their cash cow. And they are too busy whipping that cash cow to realize that they are ignoring the money on the table. I can only hope that someone will eventually do the math and see that this major oversight is hurting their profits.

Our menards had about 8 Christmas inflatables and had half of their other Christmas stuff out on the floor yesterday . This is the earliest Iv ever seen the display out. Hardly any Halloween stuff left.

most of all the stores have Christmas in sep so does a lot of all the stores, they should wait till atleast end of Oct or beginning of Nov😑 but unfortunately they always rush that other holiday.

retail stores have Halloween, Christmas, and thanksgiving it’s not just Lowe’s it’s nothing that the workers can do it’s the people who send the stuff to the store and workers just do their jobs and put it out retail workers are confused and not happy with Christmas with Halloween

These stores cram Christmas down our thorts so much anymore that by the time Christmas even gets here your tired of looking at it....and it seems like its showing up in stores earlier and earlier every year

It's the war on Halloween. They make it worse every year. It's not just here... its everywhere... Christmas gets bigger every year. Halloween gets smaller. Ive watched and noticed this trend shince i was a child in the 90's... Christmas HATES Halloween apparently. Just wont give us our time.

This is nothing new. Home depot does it too. They're big box stores. They're not Halloween stores. They're not even Christmas stores. They have the ability to put out for sale anything at any time. And that's why small stores have been wiped out. Big box store capitalism. They can do whatever they want whenever they want. The dollar is the bottom line. Not appropriate seasons for decorations. They're just a step away from having haunted houses too. Imagine what they could do with the garden center completely redone as a haunted attraction. With all the merchandise they have, how cool would their haunted houses be? And how many people would be perfectly satisfied going to their Lowes and home depot haunted houses and forego the darkness? Big box stores don't give a rats ass about following seasons for decorations. Only the dollar. They get it, they move on. That's all it is.

Halloween does not make the money in retail like Christmas does. Most stores will buy so much stuff for Christmas because they know it will sell.

For the record I feel your pain... LOL. I was really impressed with the Pneumatic Animatronics at Lowes Last year, 2023. Bought one and a silent compressor to run it along with some other items needed, air hoses, fitting couplers, etc. Ultimately ended up going back and buying another one. Was really hoping that they would continue the trend this year. I would have bought at least one to add to the display along with some more air hose and fittings, etc. That being said they and the the other stores that sell Halloween props need more weather resistant props. As well those props don't have to be Ginormous. The regular sizes would work well. Don't get me wrong the big stuff is cool but storage quickly becomes a REAL STRUGGLE. If they would have had the full 4 piece Reaper Band in stock and it was outdoor rated I would bought all 4 pieces. The website said it was outdoor rated and I was feeling kinda zippy about it. When they setup the store display they had 3 pieces in stock and as it was all indoor rated. For me it was a pass. I wanted it but just could not get past the indoor rating. I cannot spend that much money on props $200 to $300 plus dollars only to have them destroyed by the rain and high winds we get during this time of the year. I am getting older and do not have the help to set things up as in prior years. I need weatherproof things that are relatively easy for me to casually setup, probably by myself, during the last couple of weeks of September when the weather gets a tad cooler. That way the display will be up for the entire month of October without worry that the typical natural elements will destroy the stuff. Oh ya... this year I ended up going to Home depot and getting one of each of the large weighted rotocast/blowmolded tombstones at about $40 to setup a graveyard scene in the front yard. Will have them set up this last weekend of September along with some other outdoor props I have secured over the last couple of years. We will setup and run the pneumatics on Halloween for the Trick or Treaters. Thanks for posting this and maybe it will not fall on deaf ears and Lowes and well the retailers will catch on.
