It kinda makes sense canonically that the phoneix characters can unlock almost all the legendary characters. Playing through events of Star Wars Rebels like battling Thrawn and the Emperor like on the show before playing events of A New Hope
Happy for you! Im about 80% done with them (farming the 2 at the same time). There are so many good toons in cantina, having to farm these 2 is such a pain. I dont even like Han or chewbacca. I hope they kill chewie off in the new movie lol
I love vets. (I call them geriatrics) qira, raid Han, geriatric Han, geriatric chewie, and OG chewie are I very good offense squad and a come from behind huge defesive TW squad.
I would suggest that at some point someone one would also include "how far" to take a toon for them to be ready. Just getting them to 7* isn't enough. Toon level, Gear level and abilities is also really important. So far for me Grand Master Yoda's event was easy (got it done with lvl 80 toons, non maxed abilities, G7/G8) Emp Palp event is easy at the time i did it around lvl 80 (can't remember what my toons were at the time) Thrawn was tough and an RNG fiesta (got it done after 50 attempts with lvl 82 toons, G8/G9 and some abiilities/uniques Omega'ed) BB8 was a little rough (got it done after 20 attempts with lvl 80 toons, ~level 6 abilities, G8) - a Geared up Kylo Ren (Masked) was key for me. Once i geared him up i seemed to have a better chance at getting this done.
Yep G8 is like the bare minimum but G9 preferred. Or you can gear up a character more and undergear others. Like I got Ezra to G11 and the rest were G6/G7/G8.
Having all the uniques for Pheonix squad (not including Sabine) all Omega'ed really made a difference for Thrawn. I would still fail, but as i omega'ed each member I saw myself getting closer and just needed RNG to play nice. Eventually i got it done.
Great guide. I have pretty much been following this strategy and in less than a year have Thrawn, EP, and Yoda all maxed. I have my Empire team ready for R2D2, and only need a few more shards of Luke and Leia to be ready for CLS. If you are just starting out this guide will put you on the right track. U should have made it long time ago because it would help ppl to do better at the beginning where they have no idea which way they should follow. Took me 2 months to figure out the way to get all the legendary chars ASAP the 1st time playing because there are so many vids out there. Tks for making another great vid, as always !
I mean all of these are good tips but if you’re getting into the game for the first time, seeing all these toons that you would be farming for the first year+ of the game is intimidating. If you’re just starting the game and you want to get the characters you enjoy, you should do that, but it will set you back in terms of getting these legendary characters. This is a great guide for people who start over or make a second account, though. The only issue I’d see is when getting the first order characters to seven stars, three of those characters are in the cantina (KR, KRU, FOX). That’s several months to farm three characters that you’re only using to get another one. In place of First Order Executioner I’d recommend First Order Tie Pilot, because it can be farmed in guild store and fleet arena. Might save you a month.
Of course! Many ways to go about the game! You got those who try hard to be as efficient as possible, you have people who just like to collect, and you got people who just want to farm random stuff to have fun!
FOTP is a hard node farm with occasional fleet store drops. SFTP is the guild store drop and he alternates between himself and his ship. Also, FO do wonders in TW and TB, plus are arena viable even against traya (anti-meta though). On top of that they solo rancor and can end haat from p3, plus are decent in hst avoiding nihilus. People really underestimate FO's usefulness.
I agree. I've been playing for about a year (with a 3-month hiatus in there) and I am only just now farming the Phoenix squad. When I first started the game, I had no interest in the Phoenix squad and since they were the squad that kept beating me, I began to hate them. My favorite characters in Star Wars are the bounty hunters (where's Zuckuss!) so as soon as I saw Bossk released, I knew bounty hunters were my #1 farm goal. Now that I have Bossk almost to Gear 12 and 7 stars, I'm starting to pick up the Phoenix squad and it's going so fast! As a level-85 player, I basically 7-stared Zeb and got him to gear tier 7 in 1 month and am well on my way with other Phoenix Squad members. Am I missing powerful characters? Yes. But they are powerful characters I'm not really interested in using.
It's actually questionable if jtr is worth farming for at this point. By the time you get the vets and everyone else farmed she won't really that big a deal anymore...
Literaly started this game again 4 days ago after leaving it about 2 years ago. This guide is awesome thank you very much. Updating with the new legendaries as Kuroneko suggests would bring this right up to date. Keep up the fantastic work.
Solid video. Wish I knew this when I started a year ago. I’m always thinking in hindsight should have gone Phoenix first. Also the graphic at 8:40 needs to be update as Rey is no longer on 7B dark.
I wish I had known this a year ago when I started playing. It took me about three months to realise I needed Phœnix for everything-I had been ignoring them because I was not a fan of the cartoons. As of now, I have just got to seven stars with BB-8. JTR is the last legendary I need, and I don't have any of the other characters needed for her above four-star.
How did you increased your squad arena score? I've been screwing around 4-5 months getting characters randomly and didnt farm phoenix squad at all. After i realized i needed them i hard farmed them to 5* (zeb is 6*) but im so low in squad arena and cant beat anyone (2560 permanently) how am i supposed to have more crystals without paying? Im lvl 75 and i feel i'm outclassed in squad and fleet arena
Phoenix is also an awesome early game arena squad! Every beginning player should farm them from the drop as well as get your ftp scoundrels together so you can get your credit heist on and level up all your characters for these events! STH can do double duty in that respect. Love this vid and hope lots of beginning players see it.
Very good advice. Scoundrels are crucial. Plus, they even have MORE utility now, being very useful in TW, TB, and some combos even to beat Traya! So I 109% agree: Phoenix and Scoundrels should be your first farms.
I started off with the 1V1 Tournament and bounced over here. I love the consistency. It's very similar to Warriors 4 Pillar System. The graphics and animation is fantastic. This is basically the path I've been taking. I am prepared for the next CLS event. Now switching my focus to First Order. I am excited for the future. The only thing I would add to any of the farming guides I have seen is the time frame with and without resfreshes. So player have a time Gage. For myself I got my core Phoniex team to 7 stars Gear 8 in 2 months. I always love your professionalism and appreciate your time.
I desperately needed this video! Just got Thrawn to 7* and now I’m ready to take on the next R2-D2 challenge, as well as the next CLS event (already farming all CLS characters)
Good guide, I started playing in November of 2017 and had every legendary character unlocked by about a month or 2 ago. One thing that made it easier for me was prioritizing how useful a character was over having their faction. For instance I was farming FO and empire at the same time. I prioritized TFP, FOTP, KRU. Good characters that allowed me to fight for top 10 in my fleet shard. The extra crystals made farming the vets a breeze when you can do 3 cantina energy refills a day.
Do you think it would be possible to have a series with you and other people where you start new accounts and go to a certain point and see what you focus on to do well in arena/ raids/ legendary characters/ ships? I know it’s an odd thing to do but it’d be interesting what you guys would do
Ahnald probably doesn't have a lot of time to do that but it's a good idea to try if you have extra time. personally i started another account about a year ago for fun but i found i didn't have enough time to manage them both. it was interesting though to see what you do differently with some experience. fast tracking phoenix and scoundrels right away makes it so much easier and better. Phoenix didn't exist when i started playing but since they do now it's a great boon for everyone. and even now it's different again with new sith and new jedi characters to contend with. I kinda feel bad for people who start now though since they missed the jillion marquee events this year- it would be even worse to have to farm all those guys from scratch including sion and bastila

I used to watch and rewatch this video while farming my Phoenix and dreaming of getting Thrawn unlocked. It's kinda crazy looking back and realizing i have almost every single one of these characters relic'd now

I'm going to farm holdo and make her important in my resistance team Not because I want to, not because I have too, but for an ingenious plan If everyone in my shard sees that I've farmed holdo shards, they will be so shocked and depressed at my life choices that they won't bother attacking me! This will definitely work right?
Similarly I started playing way back when mace windu was my highest jedi took a long break back now and feel so far behind but I'm just taking it slow and this guide is super helpful I'm two jedi rank ups away from getting grandmaster yoda! Love the content thanks for being awesome
I had to laugh on seeing that flow chart, seeing as that is literally the approach I was already taking on my own (just with FO Tie pilot in place of Executioner so I can focus on farming the Vets a bit sooner). Kinda multi-tasking rn, nearly to 6 stars on vet chewie and FO Tie pilot, with officer also at 5 stars, while also dealing with the torture of 7 starring Nhilus and Sion.
fidgety9001 tooshay lol and I mean to the tee, although FO tie wasn’t too bad getting his 5 shards from fleet shipments and the two hard nodes. I halfway through the vets now. It’s going to be close for next months JTR event. Assuming it actually happens lol
Same here, I'm glad I took a logical approach at this game rather than maxing out garbage characters like clone chewie and Jedi consular. I'm hoping maxing mace window will pay off during this clone wars rework though.
@@MommazBoyz I'm not going to be ready if its next month, haven't even started on han yet, but all things considered I should still have JTR after only playing for a year (assuming she comes back January and I'm ready, which I should be).
Anon amouse I won't take your word for it because his synergy is useless because clones are currently shit compared to so many other easy to farm characters especially those who actually have relevance to the bigger picture. Please don't think just because it "works" makes it good. Also good luck doing well with him in high tier-myhtic raids.
perfect! searched for a guide like this at the beginning of the game and didn´t find one. i switched tfp with the imperial guard because i got so many of his shards out of the free packs but tfp is defenitly the better option, the rest of it was my way to get them, too (jtr is still in progress because the vets take so damn long). great video and every new player should stick to it to make the fastest improvements.

I'm so glad they changed the Mod Challenges character requirements, thankfully now you can use any and all characters! They also reverted the Mod colors as well, presumably in preparation for Mods 2.0.
Nice guide! I did exactly this when I got each legendary character and I was able to get them all very very fast (except rjt, still waiting for her to return). If new players follow this guide they can get all the characters in less than a year easily
Those Jedi: Ezra, Kanan, Old Ben, and Yoda, can also join up with Bastila to make a very good team for arena (and it will get even better when you get HYoda to replace Kanan). You will want to keep Kanan with Phoenix in most other game modes, though. So, sub in any of a number of Jedi to your Jedi squad (a healer can be helpful in some raid modes - again, until you get HYoda), with Sabine stepping in to replace Ezra in the Phoenix squad. This gives you 2 really good squads for several raid phases - Bastila's Jedi and Sabinix. Also, you only need 3 rebel ships to unlock the Chimaera at 5 stars. You will need 5 rebel ships to get it to 7 stars, though.
What I like about that, is that if you get that empire team built up, you have some quick arena viability that has a corner stone to stay strong until you have been in the game awhile. I don't like the idea of TFP in there for that, and I'm not sure who to recommend instead, but the other 4 are a strong arena core.
Exactly! TFP is not horrible by any means. But if you want a sadder Empire arena team definitely try having Stormtrooper or Shoretrooper for a good tank. Palp, Tarkin, Vader, Thrawn, and a tank would be good
This is true. TFP is mostly useful as a pilot. In PVP? He's pretty much a glass cannon. But despite the recent nerf, his ship still works very well in Fleet Arena when paired with TIE Advanced under Tarkin's Executrix.
I restarted in January and actually plans like this are key. If you have a plan from the start and stick to it religiously, you will far outpace your shardmates and get off to a fantastic start.
Don't know if someone mentioned it already but Finn is also in the guild store, albeit not as often now with YHan, but if you're smart and start farming him early you can finish him long before you need him. Also for empire I found Starck to be my best 5th, he's easy to get and doesn't take energy from anywhere else, he's used eventually for IT and he's also really good for newer players in all aspects of the game.
Wish I'd started off with Pheonix a couple years ago, I wouldn't be gearing them up now, and sitting with a 6* Thrawn who's ready to gear up. Great info, bud.
It's faster if you consider that three of the guys are in cantina and you can only farm one at a time. Farming FOTP from hard node and fleet will take longer for the one guy but you'll finish all 5 characters faster.
AhnaldT101 he’s actually pretty fast to farm, I got 100 shards for him in roughly 3 days thanks to a combination of two nodes and being available in ship fleet store a bunch, ended up being faster to farm then FOO
One thing I realised which most people don't mention is that getting all these characters as soon as possible doesn't matter if you can't gear them. My R2, BB8, Chirrut and Baze have been sitting at gear 8 for ages because I have so many higher priorities (arena and pilots). After you get your Phoenix and Empire squads, there's really not that much of a hurry to farm characters. Palp squads can beat pretty much anything except Bastila. I'm almost finished my Vet farm but after that my JTR will probably be gear 8 for another 6 months too while I work on my transition to Jedi in arena, and Pilots, so why did I rush her? Gear is the real grind.
I won’t lie, I’ve been putting off the heroes journey events for a while because I just prefer focusing on the characters I want as opposed to the ones others tell me I should have. I like to play my game my way.
Never give up dude. Vital Channel. I’d love to see you on Jedi council one day. Their reluctance to see the light with mobile games is rubbish. I can dream.
I actually used this system to unlock CLS! I used Phoenix to get Thrawn to 7*, then I used Thrawn, Palp, Vader, Tarkin, and Snowtrooper to get R2 to 7*. Also, you have no idea how happy I was when I got Thrawn to 7*! I largely relied on this plan. I only got the Phoenix faction to Gear level 8, and after countless attempts and a lot of mod upgrades and changes (I was low on credits and crystals), I literally managed to complete the last tier in the last few hours of the event. I was so happy that I wanted to scream, but I was in the library, so I had to hold it in, lol!!
First Order Tie Pilot is very good for BB8, GW and his ship is amazing. He was one of my top 15 toons to develop since most of my crystals came, and still come, from ships.
I wish I would have known more about the legendaries when I first started playing last year. My friend told me FO was strong so I went for them first (and Wiggs). Not horrible, but unlocking Thrawn+Palp asap is the way to go.
Another character that's good for unlocking GM Yoda is Mace Windu. Granted, you may not use him very much beyond unlocking Yoda, and you may never use his capital ship much, but you get him for free from the early ship stuff, and he's easily farmable. When I did GM Yoda event, my team consisted of Old Ben, Ezra, Mace Windu, Luminara, and Qui Gon Jinn.
I'm wokring on leveling up all of my Jedi right now for when Grand Master Yoda comes back around. Other than the Raid Han, I want him more than any other character right now!
Pro tip on Yoda: If you have Ezra and Kanan and OB geared pretty high from the other events (my Ezra was G10 for Thrawn), you really only need the other two jedi as filler (7* G1). 7* GMY is really easy compared to Thrawn event. Don't stress over how useful the last two jedi are, just farm up the fastest ones you can easily get.
Started last October and next month I'll be getting Rey which is my last legendary so. Don't really know why I'm watching but you normally make me laugh so
Pheonix Squad with their health regain and protection regain and high gear and mods to get a 7 star Thrawn, actually connects to Rey Jedi Training with the ability to survive and help players get to the last stages of Cantina to unlock the Veteran Smugglers.
Thanks for this road map mate - huge help for us newbies. I too 7 starred Windu before I saw this! Luckily I 7 starred Kylo Ren which mitigates the pain a little.
I didn't start with phoenix squad (I had no idea who they were), but I was quite lucky to unlock all legendary characters and characters from hero's journey relatively fast :)
Great video, just to late for me. What I need really, really bad is a step by step video of the Rebels - basic training event. Tried 100's of times and just cannot win this sicker. I'm sure there are others also needing this. I know it's not required for anything special, I'd just really like to get it off my screen. Thanks for all the great helpful videos so far! Never, ever, ever taunt with Old Ben in this...he'll die fast...and you want him alive for his ability block (that's a key ability in that event and you want to use it whenever you can). Keep Han and Leia's offensive boosts up at all times. If you don't need to use R2 for a stun, then use his burn (don't bother using stealth at all)...that'll pretty much take care of the TFP on it's own over time and might even finish it off before you get to it. If you get stuck behind a Stormtrooper taunt, dispel the taunt with CLS (2nd ability again) and go back to your kill order... Use Han and R2 to keep Vader and Palpatine BOTH stunned as much as possible (keep applying those stuns)...take out Thrawn first (keep his turn meter down with CLS 'use the force' ability...you don't want him to get a fracture in (or/and get Ben's ability block up asap). Take out Palpatine second, then Vader...still keeping them both stunned until they're gone...finish up the rest...job's a good 'un.
Even though I know the whole deal I just went “NOPE ARENA FIRST” so after that THEN I’ll do my legendary grind. The vet farm is gonna be such a pain when I get there

There have been several new legendary characters released since this video, It would be nice to see this updated to include all of the current ones (+Chewbacca, C3PO, Jedi Knight Revan, Darth Revan, and original Millennium Falcon currently, roughly 33% more legendaries). This video is still less than a year old, so perhaps you are waiting a bit longer. Digging up some information on how likely we are to get new legendaries can help guide when to update this.
It's another great video. But with how the game has progressed, If I was starting over, I would go after FO for BB8, and snag Finn and resistance for JTR. Then I would go after Phoenix for Thrawn and forget the rest on this chart. I would even consider going after Solo/Scoundrels first actually, in prep for the next Legendary event that's coming soon. cheers and thanks!
Working on getting gear 9 for all my Phoenix characters on my second account. I'm level 80 right now. I just need to 7-star Papa Palps and Thrawn. But holy shit those stun guns for Kanan and Zeb are kicking my ass.
My lineups that I used for unlocking the legendary toons: GM Yoda: Qui-Gon lead, Anakin/Ahsoka, Luminara/Barris, Mace Windu (lol), and Old Ben. Papa Palpatine: Ackbar lead, Princess Leia, ST Han/Old Ben, Biggs, and Lando/Wedge. R2-D2: Palpatine lead, Vader, Tarkin, TFP, and Death Trooper/Stormtrooper. BB8: Phasma/KRU lead, Kylo Ren, FO TFP, FO Stormtrooper, FO Officer. *Thrawn: Hera lead, Ezra, Chopper, Zeb, and Kanan. *= 7 star is a work in progress. Please stand by.
Your FO section has you farming three characters from Cantina, which is going to take months and months. They're good characters but you're going to need to farm Vets for months too and you have no options there. What I did was farm FOTP and SFTFP instead of KRU and FOX. The team is much worse overall but it's a way faster farm and as long as you gear up Kylo to G10 and the rest to G8-9, the event is doable. Then you can go back later and farm Matt and Foxy.
I was thinking about about crit damage from Advantage, 1 tank, 2 support and 2 dps. I will drop Phasma for FOX at some point but she's cheap to get at the moment. I also was thinking with fleet in mind. Phasma lead just doesn't seem as good.
Mace Windu should have been in the suggested Jedi line up. I know, he’s horrible, but he’s also really easy to get. After unlocking ship battles you’ll have him up to about 5 stars. His shards drop pretty often from bronzium packs, and the rest of them can be gotten from the squad arena store. It’s an easy way to fill out a slot so you can get Grand Master Yoda. After that, farm up someone better, and bury him in your lineup because he’s just awful.

I mean all of these are good tips but if you’re getting into the game for the first time, seeing all these toons that you would be farming for the first year+ of the game is intimidating. If you’re just starting the game and you want to get the characters you enjoy, you should do that, but it will set you back in terms of getting these legendary characters. This is a great guide for people who start over or make a second account, though. The only issue I’d see is when getting the first order characters to seven stars, three of those characters are in the cantina (KR, KRU, FOX). That’s several months to farm three characters that you’re only using to get another one. In place of First Order Executioner I’d recommend First Order Tie Pilot, because it can be farmed in guild store and fleet arena. Might save you a month.
Of course! Many ways to go about the game! You got those who try hard to be as efficient as possible, you have people who just like to collect, and you got people who just want to farm random stuff to have fun!

FOTP is a hard node farm with occasional fleet store drops. SFTP is the guild store drop and he alternates between himself and his ship. Also, FO do wonders in TW and TB, plus are arena viable even against traya (anti-meta though). On top of that they solo rancor and can end haat from p3, plus are decent in hst avoiding nihilus. People really underestimate FO's usefulness.
I agree. I've been playing for about a year (with a 3-month hiatus in there) and I am only just now farming the Phoenix squad. When I first started the game, I had no interest in the Phoenix squad and since they were the squad that kept beating me, I began to hate them. My favorite characters in Star Wars are the bounty hunters (where's Zuckuss!) so as soon as I saw Bossk released, I knew bounty hunters were my #1 farm goal. Now that I have Bossk almost to Gear 12 and 7 stars, I'm starting to pick up the Phoenix squad and it's going so fast! As a level-85 player, I basically 7-stared Zeb and got him to gear tier 7 in 1 month and am well on my way with other Phoenix Squad members. Am I missing powerful characters? Yes. But they are powerful characters I'm not really interested in using.
I hate, and I do mean HATE the vets farming. It was the most awful thing ever happened in my journey of galaxy of heroes.
I can not for the life of me beat those last two farms. I don't even try any more, it's just a waste of time.

It's actually questionable if jtr is worth farming for at this point. By the time you get the vets and everyone else farmed she won't really that big a deal anymore...

I wish I had known this a year ago when I started playing. It took me about three months to realise I needed Phœnix for everything-I had been ignoring them because I was not a fan of the cartoons. As of now, I have just got to seven stars with BB-8. JTR is the last legendary I need, and I don't have any of the other characters needed for her above four-star.
How did you increased your squad arena score? I've been screwing around 4-5 months getting characters randomly and didnt farm phoenix squad at all. After i realized i needed them i hard farmed them to 5* (zeb is 6*) but im so low in squad arena and cant beat anyone (2560 permanently) how am i supposed to have more crystals without paying? Im lvl 75 and i feel i'm outclassed in squad and fleet arena

Phoenix is also an awesome early game arena squad! Every beginning player should farm them from the drop as well as get your ftp scoundrels together so you can get your credit heist on and level up all your characters for these events! STH can do double duty in that respect. Love this vid and hope lots of beginning players see it.
Very good advice. Scoundrels are crucial. Plus, they even have MORE utility now, being very useful in TW, TB, and some combos even to beat Traya!
So I 109% agree: Phoenix and Scoundrels should be your first farms.

I started off with the 1V1 Tournament and bounced over here. I love the consistency. It's very similar to Warriors 4 Pillar System. The graphics and animation is fantastic. This is basically the path I've been taking. I am prepared for the next CLS event. Now switching my focus to First Order. I am excited for the future. The only thing I would add to any of the farming guides I have seen is the time frame with and without resfreshes. So player have a time Gage. For myself I got my core Phoniex team to 7 stars Gear 8 in 2 months. I always love your professionalism and appreciate your time.

Also worth remembering that legendary's unlock at 5 stars, which means you can unlock even if you can't fully max.

Good guide, I started playing in November of 2017 and had every legendary character unlocked by about a month or 2 ago.
One thing that made it easier for me was prioritizing how useful a character was over having their faction. For instance I was farming FO and empire at the same time. I prioritized TFP, FOTP, KRU. Good characters that allowed me to fight for top 10 in my fleet shard. The extra crystals made farming the vets a breeze when you can do 3 cantina energy refills a day.
Do you think it would be possible to have a series with you and other people where you start new accounts and go to a certain point and see what you focus on to do well in arena/ raids/ legendary characters/ ships? I know it’s an odd thing to do but it’d be interesting what you guys would do

Ahnald probably doesn't have a lot of time to do that but it's a good idea to try if you have extra time. personally i started another account about a year ago for fun but i found i didn't have enough time to manage them both. it was interesting though to see what you do differently with some experience. fast tracking phoenix and scoundrels right away makes it so much easier and better. Phoenix didn't exist when i started playing but since they do now it's a great boon for everyone. and even now it's different again with new sith and new jedi characters to contend with. I kinda feel bad for people who start now though since they missed the jillion marquee events this year- it would be even worse to have to farm all those guys from scratch including sion and bastila

I used to watch and rewatch this video while farming my Phoenix and dreaming of getting Thrawn unlocked. It's kinda crazy looking back and realizing i have almost every single one of these characters relic'd now

I had to laugh on seeing that flow chart, seeing as that is literally the approach I was already taking on my own (just with FO Tie pilot in place of Executioner so I can focus on farming the Vets a bit sooner). Kinda multi-tasking rn, nearly to 6 stars on vet chewie and FO Tie pilot, with officer also at 5 stars, while also dealing with the torture of 7 starring Nhilus and Sion.

Same here, I'm glad I took a logical approach at this game rather than maxing out garbage characters like clone chewie and Jedi consular. I'm hoping maxing mace window will pay off during this clone wars rework though.

perfect! searched for a guide like this at the beginning of the game and didn´t find one. i switched tfp with the imperial guard because i got so many of his shards out of the free packs but tfp is defenitly the better option, the rest of it was my way to get them, too (jtr is still in progress because the vets take so damn long). great video and every new player should stick to it to make the fastest improvements.

I'm so glad they changed the Mod Challenges character requirements, thankfully now you can use any and all characters! They also reverted the Mod colors as well, presumably in preparation for Mods 2.0.
Nice guide! I did exactly this when I got each legendary character and I was able to get them all very very fast (except rjt, still waiting for her to return). If new players follow this guide they can get all the characters in less than a year easily

Those Jedi: Ezra, Kanan, Old Ben, and Yoda, can also join up with Bastila to make a very good team for arena (and it will get even better when you get HYoda to replace Kanan). You will want to keep Kanan with Phoenix in most other game modes, though. So, sub in any of a number of Jedi to your Jedi squad (a healer can be helpful in some raid modes - again, until you get HYoda), with Sabine stepping in to replace Ezra in the Phoenix squad. This gives you 2 really good squads for several raid phases - Bastila's Jedi and Sabinix.
Also, you only need 3 rebel ships to unlock the Chimaera at 5 stars. You will need 5 rebel ships to get it to 7 stars, though.
What I like about that, is that if you get that empire team built up, you have some quick arena viability that has a corner stone to stay strong until you have been in the game awhile. I don't like the idea of TFP in there for that, and I'm not sure who to recommend instead, but the other 4 are a strong arena core.
Exactly! TFP is not horrible by any means. But if you want a sadder Empire arena team definitely try having Stormtrooper or Shoretrooper for a good tank. Palp, Tarkin, Vader, Thrawn, and a tank would be good
If you wanna progress your empire team further in the game for arena i use zthrawnL, Vader, palp, DT & Krennic, very strong team which syncs up well.
This is true. TFP is mostly useful as a pilot. In PVP? He's pretty much a glass cannon. But despite the recent nerf, his ship still works very well in Fleet Arena when paired with TIE Advanced under Tarkin's Executrix.
I wish I farmed most of these characters when I first started rather than focusing all my resources on my favorites.

I restarted in January and actually plans like this are key. If you have a plan from the start and stick to it religiously, you will far outpace your shardmates and get off to a fantastic start.
Don't know if someone mentioned it already but Finn is also in the guild store, albeit not as often now with YHan, but if you're smart and start farming him early you can finish him long before you need him. Also for empire I found Starck to be my best 5th, he's easy to get and doesn't take energy from anywhere else, he's used eventually for IT and he's also really good for newer players in all aspects of the game.
Wish I'd started off with Pheonix a couple years ago, I wouldn't be gearing them up now, and sitting with a 6* Thrawn who's ready to gear up.

Yeah FOTP is pretty awesome. Slower farm but good if you wanna take your time.
It's faster if you consider that three of the guys are in cantina and you can only farm one at a time. Farming FOTP from hard node and fleet will take longer for the one guy but you'll finish all 5 characters faster.
AhnaldT101 he’s actually pretty fast to farm, I got 100 shards for him in roughly 3 days thanks to a combination of two nodes and being available in ship fleet store a bunch, ended up being faster to farm then FOO
Have him at or close to 5 in a week or so, I'm hurting for mods and credits though... and ability mats... lol so much stuff.
FOTP also hits like a truck once he's geared up.

One thing I realised which most people don't mention is that getting all these characters as soon as possible doesn't matter if you can't gear them. My R2, BB8, Chirrut and Baze have been sitting at gear 8 for ages because I have so many higher priorities (arena and pilots). After you get your Phoenix and Empire squads, there's really not that much of a hurry to farm characters. Palp squads can beat pretty much anything except Bastila. I'm almost finished my Vet farm but after that my JTR will probably be gear 8 for another 6 months too while I work on my transition to Jedi in arena, and Pilots, so why did I rush her? Gear is the real grind.
I won’t lie, I’ve been putting off the heroes journey events for a while because I just prefer focusing on the characters I want as opposed to the ones others tell me I should have. I like to play my game my way.

I actually used this system to unlock CLS! I used Phoenix to get Thrawn to 7*, then I used Thrawn, Palp, Vader, Tarkin, and Snowtrooper to get R2 to 7*.
Also, you have no idea how happy I was when I got Thrawn to 7*! I largely relied on this plan. I only got the Phoenix faction to Gear level 8, and after countless attempts and a lot of mod upgrades and changes (I was low on credits and crystals), I literally managed to complete the last tier in the last few hours of the event. I was so happy that I wanted to scream, but I was in the library, so I had to hold it in, lol!!
First Order Tie Pilot is very good for BB8, GW and his ship is amazing. He was one of my top 15 toons to develop since most of my crystals came, and still come, from ships.

I wish I would have known more about the legendaries when I first started playing last year. My friend told me FO was strong so I went for them first (and Wiggs). Not horrible, but unlocking Thrawn+Palp asap is the way to go.

Another character that's good for unlocking GM Yoda is Mace Windu. Granted, you may not use him very much beyond unlocking Yoda, and you may never use his capital ship much, but you get him for free from the early ship stuff, and he's easily farmable. When I did GM Yoda event, my team consisted of Old Ben, Ezra, Mace Windu, Luminara, and Qui Gon Jinn.

I'm wokring on leveling up all of my Jedi right now for when Grand Master Yoda comes back around. Other than the Raid Han, I want him more than any other character right now!
Pro tip on Yoda: If you have Ezra and Kanan and OB geared pretty high from the other events (my Ezra was G10 for Thrawn), you really only need the other two jedi as filler (7* G1). 7* GMY is really easy compared to Thrawn event. Don't stress over how useful the last two jedi are, just farm up the fastest ones you can easily get.
Started last October and next month I'll be getting Rey which is my last legendary so. Don't really know why I'm watching but you normally make me laugh so

Pheonix Squad with their health regain and protection regain and high gear and mods to get a 7 star Thrawn, actually connects to Rey Jedi Training with the ability to survive and help players get to the last stages of Cantina to unlock the Veteran Smugglers.
That’s a good way of thinking about it! Definitely could help knock out those harder cantina battles.

I didn't start with phoenix squad (I had no idea who they were), but I was quite lucky to unlock all legendary characters and characters from hero's journey relatively fast :)

Never, ever, ever taunt with Old Ben in this...he'll die fast...and you want him alive for his ability block (that's a key ability in that event and you want to use it whenever you can). Keep Han and Leia's offensive boosts up at all times. If you don't need to use R2 for a stun, then use his burn (don't bother using stealth at all)...that'll pretty much take care of the TFP on it's own over time and might even finish it off before you get to it. If you get stuck behind a Stormtrooper taunt, dispel the taunt with CLS (2nd ability again) and go back to your kill order...
Use Han and R2 to keep Vader and Palpatine BOTH stunned as much as possible (keep applying those stuns)...take out Thrawn first (keep his turn meter down with CLS 'use the force' ability...you don't want him to get a fracture in (or/and get Ben's ability block up asap). Take out Palpatine second, then Vader...still keeping them both stunned until they're gone...finish up the rest...job's a good 'un.

There have been several new legendary characters released since this video, It would be nice to see this updated to include all of the current ones (+Chewbacca, C3PO, Jedi Knight Revan, Darth Revan, and original Millennium Falcon currently, roughly 33% more legendaries). This video is still less than a year old, so perhaps you are waiting a bit longer. Digging up some information on how likely we are to get new legendaries can help guide when to update this.

It's another great video. But with how the game has progressed, If I was starting over, I would go after FO for BB8, and snag Finn and resistance for JTR. Then I would go after Phoenix for Thrawn and forget the rest on this chart. I would even consider going after Solo/Scoundrels first actually, in prep for the next Legendary event that's coming soon. cheers and thanks!

Papa Palpatine: Ackbar lead, Princess Leia, ST Han/Old Ben, Biggs, and Lando/Wedge.
R2-D2: Palpatine lead, Vader, Tarkin, TFP, and Death Trooper/Stormtrooper.
BB8: Phasma/KRU lead, Kylo Ren, FO TFP, FO Stormtrooper, FO Officer.
*Thrawn: Hera lead, Ezra, Chopper, Zeb, and Kanan.

Your FO section has you farming three characters from Cantina, which is going to take months and months. They're good characters but you're going to need to farm Vets for months too and you have no options there. What I did was farm FOTP and SFTFP instead of KRU and FOX. The team is much worse overall but it's a way faster farm and as long as you gear up Kylo to G10 and the rest to G8-9, the event is doable. Then you can go back later and farm Matt and Foxy.

I was thinking about about crit damage from Advantage, 1 tank, 2 support and 2 dps. I will drop Phasma for FOX at some point but she's cheap to get at the moment. I also was thinking with fleet in mind. Phasma lead just doesn't seem as good.
That's what I done used my phenoix squad to get thrawn and palpitine, and don't forget about legendary chewbacca and jedi revan
Mace Windu should have been in the suggested Jedi line up. I know, he’s horrible, but he’s also really easy to get. After unlocking ship battles you’ll have him up to about 5 stars. His shards drop pretty often from bronzium packs, and the rest of them can be gotten from the squad arena store. It’s an easy way to fill out a slot so you can get Grand Master Yoda. After that, farm up someone better, and bury him in your lineup because he’s just awful.
